Mary Magdalene: Are We Responsible For Everything We Experience?

Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 2, 2014

Question: Some teach that we are 100% responsible for all we create in the world. For example, if someone is rude to us, that is something we created. Others teach not to take things personally, i.e. I know what others say or do is about them, not about me. How do you see it?

Mary Magdalene: Hello my dear ones. Thank you for calling on me and asking me this question. I am very happy to respond.

This is a question that many in the spiritual community in your world are confused about. It is somewhat complex to answer, with a number of layers, which is part of why it has created confusion for so many. I will do my best to sort it out and make it more understandable.

The short answer is that both are true, with a certain understanding. I will begin with talking about the idea that you are 100% responsible for everything you experience. This is actually true, but not easy for many in your world to understand. It’s actually a central part of the spiritual process that people in your world are growing into at this time. The leaders in your spiritual world are more at a place of understanding and acceptance of this. Most of the people who have heard of this concept find it difficult to accept or perhaps even feel repelled by the idea in some way. And many, probably the vast majority in your world, are not even aware of this as a principle or possible belief.

One analogy that might help is to think of your dreams. Most people are comfortable with the point of view that you create everything that happens in your dreams. This includes yourself and your actions, as well as all the other beings and their actions. In actuality, your waking realm is fundamentally the same. It is created also—through your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Much of your life and the experiences your have within your life were created or chosen by you prior to your taking incarnation in this lifetime. This includes not just the things that you do yourself. It also includes the other people in your life and the ways that they relate to you. You chose the major events and experiences you have in your life to support you in your soul growth. Every person is working on certain lessons or arenas. Before you incarnate in a particular lifetime, you choose the major experiences in your life that will support you in that growth. You also choose others that you will interact with in major ways who will be part of your opportunity to have the soul growth you’re working on. And the others agree to interact with you and support your growth in those ways.

At the same time, those others are also working on their own soul growth and have chosen experiences and interactions with others that will support their growth. All interactions that you have with others are simultaneously supporting both your and their soul-growth, often in different but complementary ways.

You also have free will to create your life. You exercised that free will in your pre-incarnation state by choosing the experiences you’d have during your lifetime. You also have a great deal of free will during your incarnation to fill in the details and all the day-to-day aspects of your life, as well as choosing if you will carry out what you set in place prior to incarnating.

So truly, all the experiences you have are ones that you have created, either consciously through your pre-life choices, subconsciously through your past-life choices (this is sometimes called karma), or simply through your personal energetics in the present and the way creation occurs.

This part is somewhat more subtle but not really that difficult to understand. Every person has a certain frequency that they are vibrating at, which is a result of the level of consciousness they are holding in all the arenas of their being. That frequency goes out to your world, kind of like a radio signal going out. In some ways that frequency is also like an energetic magnet. It not only goes out, it also filters through all the frequencies in your realm and draws in whatever events match that frequency. Just as there are sounds that only some animals can hear, like a dog hearing a high pitched sound, similarly you will only experience the frequencies that are vibrating at the same frequency as yours.

Thus, there is a very real way that you have created all the events in your life through the frequency that you hold. You could say that the events in your life are matching your own frequency and thus serve as a mirror to yourself. This is where it is valuable to be conscious of this process. If you understand this, you then gain the power to create what you want in your life. If you are experiencing something that you’re not enjoying, your power lies with yourself and your own frequency to change that circumstance. You must change your frequency, which happens by changing your consciousness. Once you do that, it is somewhat like changing the station on a radio. You are now tuned to a different (higher) frequency and will be attracting in different experiences at that new frequency.

This is why it’s so counterproductive to focus on others as the cause of your life experiences. It’s kind of like yelling at a radio because you don’t like the music being played. All you really need to do is change to a new station. I say “all” because it’s simple in principle. But as most of you know, it’s not usually so simple in practice.

Most of you are very attached to the frequencies you’re familiar with and tend to hold onto them mightily, even if the results of those frequencies aren’t things you enjoy. This is part of the third-dimensional experience. At a core level, you identify with your frequencies and have a fear that you’ll die or become nothing is if you let go of them. So spiritual practice takes dedication and perseverance, as well as compassion, forgiveness, and kindness toward yourself. Personal transformation in your realm is not an easy process, and you all are to be commended for all the steps you take that further this ongoing evolution.

What does it mean to change your frequency or raise your consciousness? This is not easy to describe, but it’s basically the core of what spiritual practice involves. Your consciousness is your core sense of who you are and how you relate to everything else. The closer your consciousness is to God-consciousness, the higher it is. The further away it is from God-Consciousness, the lower it is. God-consciousness could be seen as pure love, resting in Source, complete forgiveness and compassion, total peace, unity with all. These are some of the attributes, though not a total description. But it is probably sufficient for you to understand what raising your consciousness means. Anything that moves you closer to these attributes is movement toward higher consciousness.

I think it would be helpful at this point to give a concrete example. I can use the example given in the question. Let’s say that you walk into a room where someone you know is talking with others, and they don’t acknowledge you or introduce you to the other people. You could focus on the person you know and judge them for being wrong in some form, calling them rude or whatever other internal arguments you come up with to justify your position that they’re in the wrong somehow. This will probably have the effect of keeping you stuck in your mind ruminating about them, as well as keeping you stuck in your painful emotions of feeling hurt, angry, insecure, or whatever else is coming up.

If you were to choose instead to focus on yourself, you could make the assumption that you have created this and consider how you have attracted this frequency into your life. Perhaps you are rude in this way with others, and are not aware of what you’re doing or how it affects others. Perhaps you need to work on being more assertive and standing up for yourself through communication or other actions. Perhaps you’re not tending to be aware of others feelings, and this situation is reflecting that back to you.

Let’s say that this second one is the case —that you’re working on creating more equality in your life. By assuming the “underdog” role, you have attracted in people who are also involved in this dynamic, either as “bullies” or as similar underdog roles to yours. You can take responsibility for this by looking at the opportunity being given to you through this situation. You’re being given an opportunity to expand and change your frequency, by assuming a different relationship to what’s happening.

Instead of being the “victim” and reacting from that position, you could introduce yourself to the others and greet the person you know. In doing so, you’re contributing to a new frequency in yourself. You’re helping yourself shift from the oppressor-oppressed frequency to a frequency of relating as equals. As this frequency becomes stronger for you and you increasingly practice it, you will release the old frequency. Over time, you will no longer attract oppressor-oppressed circumstances into your life. You will have fulfilled your growth in that area and you won’t require those circumstances any longer. You will have moved to a higher frequency in that domain and will be attracting in different experiences.

This is why two individuals can go through the same circumstances and have very different experiences. You sometimes see this in a family, where two children have very different reactions to very similar circumstances. You also see it in group dynamics, where different individuals report having very different experiences in the same situation.

One thing that can help is to realize that any circumstance in which you feel an emotional charge is usually a circumstance you’ve called in for your growth. The reason you have the charge is because it is reflecting something within yourself that is hard for you to see and is causing you  pain in some way. This is the great benefit of physical incarnation. Your circumstances make it very clear what you need to do for your own growth. The more you realize this, the better off you will be. You will grow more quickly and with greater ease. And you will more directly enjoy your outer circumstances as the kind you like.

You may be wondering right now, What about people who have really difficult or awful circumstances. Why would they create this? This is a question many of you have, and it is understandable that you would have it. The answer is not an easy one. Pain and suffering are part of what people have come to experience in your world. It is not only that pain is given to help you grow, which is true most of the time. It’s also that it’s part of the totality of experience that beings chose to have by incarnating here. It is a way of knowing the totality of all, which pain and suffering are a part of. It is also the case that it is most severe at the third dimension. Many have said that humans were never intended to drop to the levels of pain and suffering that you have, and that in some ways this realm and the results of free will can be seen as an experiment gone wrong. Regardless of how you see that, it is true that it is now time for this phase of humanity’s experience to come to completion and for humans to move on to their next phase, which means moving to the next dimension of experience. This requires moving to higher consciousness. Taking full responsibility for yourself and the results of your creation is one of the fastest ways to do that.

I want to address why this is difficult for so many people. This has to do with the concepts of right and wrong or good and bad that are so entrenched in third-dimensional thinking. Many of you believe that taking responsibility for all of your experience is the same as saying you’re to blame for them or that you’re at fault for doing something wrong. This is most unfortunate. It’s also an inherent part of growing into higher consciousness. You are not at fault or to blame for creating painful experiences, any more than a child in elementary school is to blame for not knowing higher subjects. You are simply at the level you’re at, and you need that level of reflection to help you with your growth. This requires great self-compassion to understand this and shift into this disposition. Whatever you are experiencing is ultimately a gift from God to help you, even though it may not seem like it at the time. How many times do you look back at difficult experiences from your past and realize that they were the vehicle of some important growth for you? This is actually always the case.

It also means that you must get beyond comparing yourself to others. It is true that beings are not all at the same stage of development spiritually. This again can be seen as being a grand school. You can be respectful and compassionate toward yourself and all others, regardless of the level you’re at. This in itself will shift you into a higher level of consciousness, in many cases.

I feel I have said enough at this time about this approach of assuming 100% responsibility for all the events of your life. I hope it has been helpful. I will respond to the second part of this question on another occasion.

I send you my love and blessings for all of your diligent work and growth into higher consciousness.

With great love and compassion,

I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Relationships and Monogamy

An Excerpt of a Channeling
Received By Mercedes Kirkel
On June 16, 2013

Question: When talking about the deep, love-filled union that you and Yeshua achieved together, were you a monogamous couple? Is monogamy representative of a true love or sacred sexuality type of relationship?

Mary Magdalene: We were in relationship at an extremely high level. At that level, relationship is so fulfilling, it is natural to simply be with one another. At that level, we do not make these kinds of pacts or delineations that you tend to make. So it never occurred to us to define our relationship in any particular way. It was a response at the highest levels of our being to each other.

It takes wisdom to understand where these questions come from. It takes discernment to understand if your motive is coming from your most high connection to God and your calling for that, or not. It is possible to have no limit on your loving. But it is not likely, because your desire is so fulfilled in your relationship. Yet it is possible that you may have this with more than one person.

In your world, having more than one partner is generally a distraction from the work that people have to do of growing in God. It is generally not based in the very highest motives. It is often based on a disconnection from God, where there is a sense of lack in receiving the exquisite properties that are always being offered. Out of that lack, one may feel a need to find it in a different person.

Oftentimes this lack is related to wounding. It’s related to a block within the person of actually receiving the love that they seek. They may have a deep wound, and out of that wound, a deep fear of opening to a level that will cause them to experience that wound. When they begin to approach this level of depth of love with a partner, they withdraw and seek another partner. This is done to protect them from that level of intimacy that will bring up the wound. But the best thing that they could do would be to bring up that wound, so that it could be healed.

Relationship will bring up everything that is necessary for healing. This is why it is wise to be strong in yourself and in your relationship to God, before you enter into relationship with a partner. This is why, when I began to talk today, I began with those two arenas—your relationship to yourself and to God, because they form the foundation. If they are not strong, you will bring extra challenge into your relationship.

When there is challenge in relationship, the first thing to look at is your relationship to yourself, your own inner Feminine and Masculine, and your relationship to God. See if there is work to be done there and if the challenge that is being brought up is guiding you to that work, so that you may do it.

In most cases, in your world, that will be the case with people who are considering the idea of multiple partnerships. They will see that there is actually their own work to be done, which will resolve the question in their mind.

But it is a possibility that people could be in relationships with more than one partner. Yet in your world it is not likely. Most of those relationships will tend to happen at higher levels. For some people, who are greatly drawn to seeking multiple partners, it is because they remember this possibility. But it is not what they came into the third dimension to actually experience. For most people, it is complicating their lives and their spiritual work to try to create this and sustain it. For most people, expanded relationships will be found at the subtler levels, in their relationships with their guides, in their relationship with God. It will not be necessary to manifest that at the physical level with multiple partners.

MARY MAGDALENE: The Feminine And Masculine Forms Of Meditation

Chakra Goddess image courtesy of www.karunaarts.com

Given to Mercedes Kirkel
On February 25, 2014

Question: I recently read that while in deep meditation you should place your attention on the Ka body (energy body) to build energy, and that if your mind wanders to fantasy you reduce the energy to the Ka. Many teachers/mentors suggest something quite different, saying you should use your meditation to visualize your desires or intentions. They say that during meditation the brain is in an alpha/theta state and you can release dross from the subconscious mind and replace it or reprogram it with compassion or a visualized intention. Can you clarify this for me?

Mary Magdalene: Greetings my beloved. I have heard your call, and I am here with you and happy to answer the question that has been asked. This is a valuable question, as it points to confusion that others may have.

There are many different meditation practices and many different ways to meditate. Fundamentally, the purpose of meditation is to move you into a higher state of consciousness and to experience and rest in, at least for a temporary period of time, the higher frequencies of manifestation, which you might call a higher dimension and which correspond to the higher state of consciousness you have reached.

There are two fundamental forms of meditation. One is a consciousness form and one is an energy form. These two forms can overlap. The consciousness form relates more to the Divine Masculine approach, drawing on the qualities and strengths of the Divine Masculine, which in its purest form manifests or is experienced as pure consciousness. This is rather difficult to describe and express accurately because of the limitations in your language, which don’t allow clear and direct expression of these concepts. Your language difficulty stems from the fact that, in the third dimension, there generally isn’t clear understanding and experience of these concepts and states. So they are generally expressed as best as possible, given these limitations.

The energy form of meditation is based in the Divine Feminine approach, because energy is a characteristic and quality of the Divine Feminine.  This is all explained in great detail in the book, Mary Magdalene Beckons. It would be best to reference what is already contained in that book to understand the qualities, attributes, and differences between the Divine Feminine and Masculine in greater depth.

Fundamentally there are these two broad types of meditation, and there are many ways to access and deepen in both. There are also forms of meditation that draw on both the Masculine and the Feminine, to a greater or lesser extent.

The traditional spiritual forms of meditation that were developed in the East, especially in the traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism, tend to be primarily oriented to developing and growing in consciousness. In these practices, you are primarily working with your mind, quieting the lower mind and allowing the higher mind to be accessed. You have concentration practices, such as counting your breaths, becoming aware of your bodily experiences, becoming the witness or observer of all experience, asking questions into the nature of existence, and repeating mantras. All theses are techniques for bringing discipline to the lower mind so that it can relax and subside, thus allowing the higher mind to be accessed.

When the higher mind is accessed, you start to function from a higher consciousness and higher dimension. For most people, this will initially be the fourth dimension. Once the higher mind opens, there are various things that may happen. You may continue to focus on the pure state of consciousness and go more deeply into that state. This may feel like letting go of everything—all aspects of your body-mind—and resting in a state that is deeply refreshing. There may or may not be energy experiences that accompany this, such as a blissful feelings, visions, sounds, appearances of higher beings, etc. It is the choice of the practitioner how they want to proceed when the higher mind opens. They have the choice to continue into a greater connection with pure consciousness or to choose to go into the energy experiences. Neither is right or wrong, better or worse, higher or lower. But they will tend to have different results.

I suggest that you be clear what your intention is in choosing to meditate. If your intention is to clear the mind and refresh yourself deeply in the well of pure consciousness, then choose a meditation that supports that, and follow that form. In those meditations, when the higher mind opens, you will continue to connect as deeply as possible with pure consciousness. Then the instruction would be to not get involved in other phenomena that arise, such as energy experiences, creative thoughts, or various other experiences.

However, you may have a different intention in your meditation. If your intention is to solve problems, manifest a certain experience, or connect with higher beings, etc., you may choose to allow and follow these when they arise.

If I may use you as an example, Mercedes, you spent many years practicing a consciousness-based meditation and became very strong at that. At a certain point, quite a few years ago, you went through a profound awakening in consciousness. In your case, that consciousness practice was supported by other practices of disciplining your physical body, emotions, and energy, which are Feminine aspects of your being. Bringing discipline to them supported you in coming into balance and peace, freeing you to become more aware of consciousness and to go more deeply into the state of pure consciousness.

If the physical body, emotions, and energetic self do not have that kind of balance and peace, they will tend to distract you. Then it’s more difficult to become aware of the higher states of consciousness and to follow those into a deeper union with them. This is why spiritual life is generally engaged with accompanying lifestyle changes and practices, such as having a pure diet, or making choices about the company you keep or the kinds of stimulation you bring to your mind, body, and energetic self. These things all support you becoming more free to focus on and become attuned to pure consciousness.

I have been speaking about meditation up till now in its more Masculine form of uniting with pure consciounsess, bringing the practitioner into a greater sense of liberation, peace, and a certain kind of deep ecstasy of union with God, in a very pure form. I would also like to clarify the more Feminine form of meditation, which has to do with focusing on energy. Ultimately, the Feminine is all about energy. As you know from your scientist, Einstein, and many others as well, energy always has a counterpart in matter, form, or manifestation. This counterpart can be at a much subtler than the physical. You may experience energy as sound, light, or sensations that don’t seem to have a physical base. Creativity is another form of Feminine manifestation, as are the manifestation of subtle beings, such as angels or beings in higher dimensions. All of these forms of energy may become a focus for the Feminine form of mendation.

An example of a more Feminine-based meditation would be to focus your attention on manifesting a certain outcome or on finding a creative solution to a situation or problem. Shamanic journeying is a Feminine form of meditation, because it is based upon experiences in subtler realms of manifestation. It is often guided by a drum or ingestion of a substance that moves you into a different state of energy, as well as a different dimension of existence. Sacred sexuality practice is a Feminine form of energy meditation, because it follows the energy of sexuality to move you into higher states of manifestation. Certain forms of breathwork, such as holotropic breathing, can be practiced as Feminine forms of meditation, as they make use of the energy of the breath to move the practitioner into an altered, or higher, state.

As I said earlier, it is not that one way or the other is right or wrong, better or worse, superior or inferior. They have different purposes and outcomes. So it is to your benefit to become aware of the outcome you desire and to choose a meditation practice that supports that. It is also wise to be aware that different meditation practices appeal to different aspects of your being. Whether you are naturally strong in that aspect of your being will influence whether that form of meditation is accessible or easy for you. Many people have tried the more Masculine forms of meditation and concluded that they’re not capable of meditating, because they weren’t able to quiet their body, energy, or lower mind to the point that their higher mind opened up. Often, that is a sign that these people are not naturally strong in the more Masculine aspect of their being. If they were to engage a more Feminine form of meditation, such as shamanic journeying, sacred sexuality, or a manifestation process, they may have a very different experience, with much greater ease and success.

Truly, you are all both Feminine and Masculine. Ultimately it is to your benefit to develop both Feminine and Masculine approaches to meditation. That is the most direct route to growing into the higher dimensions. If I may use you as an example again, Mercedes, you now practice a form of meditation that is very balanced. It is both a consciousness practice and an energy practice. It allows you to rest in greater and greater connection with pure consciousness. At the same time, you use a portion of your meditation time for manifestation and for connection with higher beings. This has proven to be very effective and powerful for you in regularly accessing the fourth-dimensional state, with it’s attendant higher consciousness and higher abilities in the energy realm.

Most people in your culture at this time are not so easily able to relax the Feminine parts of their being and move into the pure Masculine. This is interesting, as you tend to live in a Masculine–dominated culture. Yet the Feminine and Masculine are always in balance, so in any given circumstance, if one is predominating in a certain way, the other will always show up in another arena as a form of balance. For most of you, it is at the subconscious level that you are mightily attached to the Feminine, even as your conscious life tends to be dominated by the Masculine. The strength of your subconscious attachment to the Feminine, in the form of your physical body, emotions, energy, and sexuality, as well as your tendency to be engaged in creative thinking (without the ability to set it aside through intention), tends to make it easier for most people to access meditation in a more Feminine form in your present day and age.

However, as I said before, the Masculine and Feminine are always in unity and ultimately cannot be separated, even though one  or the other may seem to be the primary experience you are having at a given time in the third dimension. This is part of the third-dimensional consciousness and experience of separation. In the third dimension, the Masculine and Feminine seem to exist in separation. This is an illusion, but you will not fully realize it as such until you move beyond the third dimension.

Because of the inherent unity of the Masculine and Feminine, any meditation that you engage will ultimately involve both aspects of your being. While a consciousness-based meditation will lead you into a purer form of the Masculine gift of pure consciousness, it will also lead you to higher states of manifestation and abilities in those states, either during the meditation itself or afterwards in your more “ordinary” life. Similarly a Feminine-based, energy-style meditation will not only lead you to new experiences and states of energy and energetic manifestation. It will also lead you to higher states of consciousness.

Thus, any practice will ultimately lead you to the whole, because all is truly whole and in union. It is simply a matter of whether that practice leads you there more directly or more indirectly. It is also a matter of whether that practice is easy and more accessible for you. My suggestion is to choose the practice that is most natural and accessible to you, based on your own abilities, qualities, and strengths. It is also important to be aware of the intended outcome of a particular practice. Choose a certain practice based on whether it focuses on the outcome you are seeking. If you are able to connect with your higher self and your own guidance, this is the best form of directing you to the practice that is right for you. If you are not able to connect with your higher self or guidance, use your body, feelings, and intuition to guide you to the practice that is most attractive to you and to which you are drawn. Then observe the results and see if those are the results that you value and desire. If not, adjust your practice or seek a different one.

As always, you can pray and ask God to guide you to the practice that is best for you. I recommend prayer often in my messages and I do so intentionally, because so many of you forget that you can always ask for help and it will be given. My hope is to offer this reminder as a loving support, guiding you to the loving help that God always provides.

I hope this has been helpful in finding the form of meditation that is most supportive for you. Meditation is an important practice, which I highly recommend as a valuable aspect of living a spiritually-based life and experiencing the fruits of the higher dimensions and higher consciousness. May you all enjoy this. It will transform you and your world.

With much love and blessings,

I Am Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: The Secret Meaning of the Cross

Received by Mercedes Kirkel

QUESTION: Would you speak about the meaning of the cross?

MARY MAGDALENE: Blessings to all. You have asked about the meaning of the cross, and I am happy to respond to you about this.

Many associate the cross with Jesus, who I call Yeshua, and with Christianity. The cross is associated with the crucifix and with the idea that Jesus died for your sins. There is a great deal that could be said about all of this, and I will do my best to cover as much as I can.

Many of the ideas that are currently held in your time are ideas about Yeshua that have been propagated by the Christian Church. There are many reasons why these ideas have been chosen and promoted. Not all of them have to do with things that occurred during Yeshua’s life or that were a part of his teaching. It is important to remember that the Christian church didn’t completely coalesce until several centuries after Yeshua’s life, and that it has continued to develop and change since its early beginnings. The report that the church has communicated about Yeshua’s life and the meaning behind it often has had more to do with what the church leaders were interested in than what actually occurred, or what Yeshua was teaching and wanted people to understand and receive.

I say all this because I think it is essential to put the idea of the cross in perspective. And all of this is true not only in relation to the cross, but to every aspect of Yeshua’s life and teaching. Much of what occurred and much of what he taught and wanted to transmit to people has been changed or lost over time. Because of this, you must be discerning as to what you believe and accept. Where did the ideas about Yeshua that you’ve heard come from? How do you know they are valid? How do the ideas             feel  to you? Do they support light and love within you? How do the people feel to you who are embracing and promoting those ideas? Do they feel full of light and love?

Remember that your feeling-sense is a much better barometer of truth than your mind. Do not be fooled by ideas if the feelings accompanying them do not uplift you. You must learn to exercise and grow your feeling-based discernment as a powerful tool for determining what is supportive to let in and what is better to discard.

Now, having laid that foundation of understanding for the context in which this is to be understood, I return to the original question about the meaning of the cross. The cross has been a symbol of many things since ancient times, long before the life of Yeshua and his crucifixion. This is why you will find it in other traditions and cultures, including those that pre-date Yeshua’s incarnation on Earth. It is a symbol of the connection between heaven and earth, or more accurately, between the divine in it’s transcendent form and manifestation on Earth. The top of the cross represents connection with the divine and the bottom of the cross represents connection with manifestion in the form of the Earth and the physical third-dimensional plane. The horizantal part of the cross represents human beings as the pivotal form on the Earth manifesting the union of the divine with third-dimensional matter.

The cross can also be seen as a representation of a human being, with the top part being the head, the horizontal part being the arms and hands, the lower part being the legs and feet, and the intersection of the vertical and horizontal being the heart. In this representation, the heart is shown to be central, that which brings everything together and out of which everything emanates. The centrality and importance of the heart was a foundational principle that underlay Yeshua’s teaching.

In your world today, the majority of people have become imbalanced with living predominantly in their head and being disconnected from and out of touch with their heart. This is a cause of a great deal of the problems you experience in your world. If you were to come back into balance and harmony with the heart beings central and primary, many of your problems would be solved. Thus, this simple symbol of the cross holds a great secret for you in your present time as to what is before you to do in order to move forward spiritually.

Relative to the crucifixion, when Yeshua was crucified, there was more than one thing that was taking place. On one level, there were those in the religious institutions of the times who wanted to eliminate Yeshua, because he was challenging their structure. He wanted people to know God as love and compassion and forgiveness, and to realize their direct connection with God. This was different from what was being put forth through the Jewish temple at that time, which presented a fierce God of punishment and required people to follow many rules and institutionalized practices in order to stay in God’s graces. Those in power did not welcome the changes Yeshua was bringing, as it threatened their power and position. So there were those within the religious institutions of the times who wanted him eliminated.

There were also those within the political system and structure who were threatened by Yeshua, especially as people started to relate to him as a king, or “king of the Jews.” There was nervousness amongst the political leaders and authorities that Yeshua would revolt against the secular government and powers. There were those amongst the Jews who wanted this and hoped that Yeshua had come to lead that kind of uprising and revolt. But that was not Yeshua’s mission or interest. He had come to show people the way of bonding with a loving God, and to be that bridge for people.

The crucifixion had another significance and role. This had to do with the popular hope amongst the Jews that a messiah would appear and deliver them spiritually from a long time of being downtrodden. This was different from the hope of those who wanted a political revolution. This was a spiritual emancipation into more blessed times. This belief was intertwined with the religious stories and mythologies of the time, many of which involved a divine ruler who died and was reborn. Through that rebirth, the blessings of the divine were brought to the people. This is a very pervasive spiritual story that can be found in many cultures. Perhaps the most prevalent at Yeshua’s time was the story of Osiris dying and being brought back to life through his wife and queen, Isis. There was an expectation in the consciousness of many people at the time that a messiah would manifest in this form. Accordingly, part of the purpose of the crucifixion was to fulfill this expectation, so that ordinary people could accept the teachings of Yeshua as true and take them in.  Through fulfilling that expectation, people were able to open to Yeshua and accept him as a divine being.

The most important reason for the crucifixion, however, has largely been kept secret from people. The crucifixion was a profound process for bringing light to the Earth and implanting it within the Earth. At the time of Yeshua’s incarnation, the level of light on Earth had reached an all-time low. If the trajectory into darkness was to continue, it was likely that the Earth would not survive. Yeshua incarnated on Earth to change that. Through his own incarnation as an extremely high being of light, and through his incarnating in human form, he was able to bring a tremendous amount of light into the Earth plane. His teaching was primarily directed at instructing people how they could similarly manifest and increase the light themselves, so that the process could continue to grow through others.

Yeshua’s exoteric teaching was a very simple form of this process of increasing the light, but nonetheless very real and effective, if people truly practiced it. In essence it was all about love and the power of love. His simplest instruction – to love God with all your heart and to love everyone as yourself – was truly sufficient to continue this process of anchoring light on the Earth. There was also an esoteric teaching, for those who were ready, with more specific practices for how to do this. Those of the Essene community were especially prepared to receive and participate at this level with Yeshua, but there were others, too.

A part of the process of anchoring light into the Earth that Yeshua came to perform, was the crucifixion. This was understood by those in the inner circle around Yeshua. He knew it and we knew it. It involved him sacrificing his life-energy in a tremendous feat of spiritual work. In the crucifixion, the cross became a grid of divine energy being brought into the Earth, something like the way a tree brings the energy of light down through its extremities above the ground, going down into the Earth through its roots. It was Yeshua’s life-energy that activated this circuitry and turned the cross into a spiritual grid and conductor for divine energy to flow into the Earth and be received by the Earth. It was a literal saving of the Earth herself as a living form, charging her up like a battery with God’s light. And it changed the course of your history in Earth. It was the turning point for the return of light into your world. It has been gradual but continuous since then, and today many of you are waking up to it.

This is the true event and meaning of Easter. It was the rebirth of Earth, a literal rebirth, at profound and very high levels of spiritual transformation.

It is not accurate that “Yeshua died for your sins” in the sense that you are evil, bad, wrong, damned, or anything like that. It is also not true that the acts of another can mitigate or remove your karma, or responsibility for your spiritual path. Each soul is responsible for themselves and their own spiritual path and results. However, if you were to interpret “sin” as separation from the light, then there is an element of truth in the expression that “Yeshua died for your sins.” For he chose to give his life to perform this huge transformational act of returning the Earth to a sufficiently high quotient of light.

And so, to return to your original question, the cross is ultimately a symbol for the infusion of God’s light into the Earth, the uniting of God and matter. Yeshua was that manifestation in human form, and through his choice to undergo the crucifixion, he brought that same light into the Earth herself, to store it and share it freely with all beings of the Earth.

This is part of why it is such a tragedy that so many are choosing to damage and even destroy the Earth at this time. That must be stopped and reversed, for the Earth is your source of physical as well as spiritual sustenance, because of the light that Yeshua infused her with. You must make amends for the way that you are treating the Earth, and truly come to revere her and care for her as your most immediate spiritual source. For so she is. It is part of the return to loving the Feminine that is so necessary at this time.

Yeshua was a great lover of the Feminine. He understood and honored and loved the Feminine. Of this, I can attest. I received his love in limitless forms and amounts. And it was not limited to me. Yeshua’s love was boundless and given freely to all. He loved without limit of any kind. And he bequeathed his love to everyone through his love of the Earth, and his spiritual endowment of that love into the Earth. It is there for all in this time as well, waiting for you to receive and continue the process of raising the light on Earth. Those of you who are reading this are surely called to this purpose and are already on that path. My hope is that these words and explanation may help you to continue and go further in that process.

With great love,

I AM Mary Magdalene

[Note from Mercedes: This was once again a personal message to me, which I believe will have great value for others, as well.]

Blessings my dear one,

I am here. I am with you. I hear you, feel you, and am aware of you and all that’s going on with you. You have been under tremendous stress. Suddenly there seems to be an avalanche of things falling upon you for you to handle, and it appears to be more than you can take care of and be responsible for. Yet you continue to do what you can, attending to what seems most important or urgent in the moment, trying to be as efficient as you can, working as hard and long as you’re able, fitting in a little bit of fun here and there to try and stay balanced, and doing your best to stay calm and not get overwhelmed, frantic, hysterical, or go into physical or emotional collapse.

Is this accurate? (I affirm silently that it is.) I thought so. I would like to offer my help. First, you have heard that there are powerful energies operating at this time. Perhaps the clearest source for information about this is through astrology. It is not actually necessary to know the specifics, although that might reassure you and provide some comfort. For when you see the larger forces that are occurring and affecting you, it helps to understand that this is not just some anomaly happening to you personally. You’re not just incompetent or a bad time manager. You’re actually experiencing huge energies that are greatly affecting you. And you’re doing your best to stay functional and balanced in the midst of this energetic storm or tidal wave. If you understand that, it can help to give you compassion, patience, and forgiveness for yourself.

And of course, it’s not just you being affected by this. Many, many people are. The more sensitive ones are affected the most. Or perhaps it’s more accurate to say that they feel the effects the most. That is why your spiritual sensitives often seem to have such difficult lives. It’s because they are open and responsive to these energetic forces. And it affects them powerfully. Others who aren’t so sensitive or open seem to just proceed with their lives without much effect. That’s because they are doing different soul-level work and their life-path is not about being open to energies the way that yours and others are. You would do well to understand that there are many different reasons that beings incarnate on the Earth, and they can produce vastly different lives. That’s why it’s important not to compare yourselves to others or judge others when they’re not responding the same as you in various circumstances. It is all perfect, from a higher perspective, but this is very difficult to see from the human plane.

You are experiencing disturbance in relationship to a particular person in your life. You continue to periodically get triggered by that person’s choices, wishing that they would make the kind of choices that you make, and feeling hurt and pain when they don’t. Not only is it part of that person’s soul path to be making exactly the kind of choices they are, it is also part of your soul path to have this situation in your life and to learn to come to peace, acceptance, and love with it.

This is what many people are missing who are involved in the new-age spiritual beliefs that everyone is creating their own reality. They see others and think, “That person has created their reality.” There is truth in that. But then they tend to think, “That has nothing to do with me.” And that is an error. For you have created them to be in your life, just as they have created their life to be whatever it is. So the important work for you is to consider why you have created them to be in your life. What lessons are they providing for you? What growth are you accomplishing by calling this in?

While these are valuable thoughts to consider, I urge you to go deeper. Go to the emotional level. There is almost inevitably an emotional component to any situation that is coming to your consciousness. If you are thinking about someone else, you are generally either disturbed, happy, intrigued, or something like that in relation to that situation. That emotion will be your most expeditious help in getting directly to the source of why that situation is appearing in your life.

You might think of it as being like an energetic knot. If you’re not having any response to a situation, it’s like a hose that water is freely flowing through. But if you feel some kind of reaction coming up, it’s as though there’s a knot in the hose and the water gets stuck. That knot creates thoughts that arise in your mind. But the thoughts are generally somewhat removed from the core of the situation. Involving yourself in the thoughts will tend to keep you removed from the center of the knot.

What will take you into the center of the knot are your feelings. The advantage of going to the core, or essence, is that you are then most well-equipped to deal with the real issue that is creating the knot. Most of the thoughts that arise are removed from the real issue and, in fact, keep you distracted from the true issue and event. Often when you’re consumed by your thoughts, you don’t even realize there’s something else going on, something which is much more important for you personally. Your thoughts are a protective device, which keep you from this real issue, until you are ready to address it.

Your ally in all of this is your feelings. By making the conscious choice to become aware of your feelings, you are choosing to work at the deeper level, to go into the center of the knot. You do this because you understand that doing so will address what’s really important, what you have come here to accomplish through this situation, why you have created it in your life. And you trust that it will bring you the growth and peace that you desire, including resolving all the thoughts you’re having.

In your situation this morning, you initially experienced a long period of allowing your thoughts to finally come out—because you had been suppressing them. This is something many spiritual people do. They keep their thoughts or experiences down, such as anger or judgments of others, because they judge them to be unspiritual. This does not really help, because energy never goes away. In your case, you only suppressed the thoughts for a very brief time, because you’ve come to understand the importance of allowing them to arise to your conscious mind, so that you can work with them. It was good that you gave yourself this space of time to simply experience and witness all of your reactivity, pain, judgments, etc.

Then you finally got to the real root. You realized that your disturbance wasn’t really about the person you were having all the reactive thoughts about. Rather, it was about your pain that your father is declining, your fear that he’s isolated and lonely and unsupported, and your sadness that he doesn’t have family with him where he lives who is going through his life transition with him.

You went deeper and saw that this was really about your own sadness and fear about not having a life partner going through your life and challenges and transitions with you. Ultimately you felt how it’s about your fear of life in general, of life’s pains and the ever-looming fear of not surviving, fear that you’re in this on your own and inevitably going to lose.

Then you remembered about trusting God. In your better, more connected moments, you have a trust in God. You trust that all is in divine order and you can let go into that. You felt how you’d gotten disconnected from that trust. And in that awareness, you became reconnected. Once you were reconnected, you found your peace and the full release that comes from uniting with God. You began to breathe deeply again, to calm down, and your body literally let go into the vast embrace of God. Once again, all was well in your world.

Did anything change in relation to your circumstance? Not as far as you knew. The shift you went through occurred entirely in your feeling–consciousness. Yet it could be said that everything changed. It could be said that your feeling-consciousness is all you have, and from there you create your reality, your so-called “outer world.” So perhaps everything changed. You will see with time what occurs.

The cosmic humor is that even if everything changes from this point, in some ways it doesn’t matter. You have reconnected with God and all is well again, whether things change or not. This is your true freedom, your great release and ecstasy. The more you do this and experience this joy, release, and ecstasy, the more you will naturally want to do this. It will start to become more and more of what your life is about. As you spend more and more time in this release, ecstasy, and freedom, your life will change. I guarantee it. That is what will move you into the higher dimensions, because your consciousness has changed. And you will indeed be creating a new reality for yourself.

I love you, support you, and trust you in the midst of this moment, and all the moments of your life. You are a manifestation of divine light. More and more you are finding your way back to remembering that light and drawing upon it as your source, rather than being locked into the relative darkness of your 3D world. As you bring that light to yourself, as you gravitate more and more to the light that you are, you will not only be transforming yourself. You will be transforming your world. For you are not alone in doing this work of becoming the light. Many, many beings are doing this in their own way. The light that you all collectively bring is enormous, powerful, and capable of transforming your world. And so it shall.

In great love,

I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Finding Divinity In Challenges

Given to Mercedes Kirkel
On January 29, 2014

[Note from Mercedes: This is a personal message that was given to me. I am sharing it because Mary affirmed that this will apply to many people.]

Blessings my dear beloved,

Once again you have been going through a difficult time. I commend you on the way you have been going through this. You are doing an admirable job of traversing this passage, surfing the waters of your challenge, doing what needs to be done in the midst of this in terms of handling your business commitments and practical life, taking care of yourself, staying connected to Spirit, and nurturing yourself through this time. More than anything, what is most commendable is that you are not getting stuck in trying to figure out what to do, analyzing the problem, or discovering why this is happening. You are surrendering to it and staying on course in the midst of it, like a sailor at sea in the midst of a storm, trusting that you will be guided through. This is excellent, and the fruits of your choices are already manifesting, even if you cannot see them yet.

This is a deep test of your faith—more than a test, really. It is an opportunity for you to move into a deeper, more profound form of trust in the divine. And you are doing just that. This is why I am commending you, because I see what is happening in ways that you may not yet understand. You are also correct in believing that this is happening at a much larger scale, with many people. Your insights into how to traverse this passage are valuable and reassuring for many. So it is important that you continue to communicate what you are experiencing and how you are responding, along with your insights and understanding relative to the process.

You have noticed that your anger seems to be coming up in various “small” situations and ways. Of course no situation is small, ultimately. They are all important. What is small is the way that you are manifesting anger. Nonetheless, I am aware that this is disturbing and surprising for you, because you have not experienced yourself responding angrily in a very long time and believed that you had purified this part of yourself and would not be having these kinds of responses to people and situations any longer. This is evidence of a very deep psychic “housecleaning” that is going on. Again, this is happening for many people at this time, not only with you. But in your case, it is manifesting as a re-visiting of your pattern of getting angry in certain situations.

For you, this is about frustration and impatience with people being seemingly locked into third-dimensional ways of seeing things, when you see things in a different way, what could be called a “higher” form of consciousness, without meaning this in any sense of feeling superior.  You have rightly understood that getting beyond the anger that is arising is about you seeing the divine in the people you’re encountering, even when the responses they are making are difficult for you. This is not just a form of compassion for their humanity—compassion for their sense of limitation in their circumstances or even actual hardship they are dealing with. What you’re being called to is deeper and more far-reaching than compassion, even though compassion is important and necessary.

What you are awakening to is a form of love. It’s about falling in love with the divinity of that being, even as they manifest or act out a form of limitation or challenge. You still see their divinity and you not only love it, but you assume your union with that divinity. You feel the sense of uniting in love with their essence, the heart of that individual. In that love, you feel the same acceptance, compassion, and forgiveness of them that you give to yourself in your own challenges. You actually feel supported by them at a profound level, because you recognize that they are you. That is stronger for you than the sense of separation.

This is a very profound and important shift. I am emphasizing it to help you to be aware of it. Then you can cooperate with it, flow with the river of what is happening, which is so much more important than the challenges you are experiencing. In fact, the challenges are helping you to make this shift. If all was going well and easily, you would most likely persist in your old mode of assuming separation. Your difficulties are helping you to open your heart to God in a whole new way. And you are responding perfectly. Yes, it is difficult. But my dear, I want you to see the ray of exquisite light of God that is emerging from your tender heart, and to celebrate that. I celebrate it most fully and welcome you into this new space with open arms and overflowing love.

I love you so much,

I Am Mary Magdalene

The New Form Of Connecting With God

Mary Magdalene Crying Statue, Sepulcre Arc-en-Barrois

By Mercedes Kirkel
January 22, 2014

My last blog post, “TRUST AND LET GO,” was a big leap of faith for me. As I shared in my newsletter:

I feel very vulnerable when I put out messages that are personal to me—partly because they always come when I’m struggling in some way or other, so in publishing the message I’m revealing my struggles to whoever reads it. The other reason I feel vulnerable is because I doubt that others will relate to my challenges. Even though I have heard repeatedly that that’s not the case, my doubt still haunts me.

Immediately after I sent out the newsletter with that blog post, I started to receive responses from many people, telling me that they’d been experiencing very similar things and that the message from my guides and higher self was speaking to them, too. My heart felt so filled with love and joy upon receiving all th0se emails—the feeling reminded me of Santa Claus at Christmas handing out presents to kids. Rather than the disconnection and emptiness I’d been experiencing, now I felt expansively joyful. It wasn’t the fact that others were struggling that was making me happy. It was because I felt reassured that what was happening was much, much bigger than me, like God-big or Spirit-big. By hearing from so many people, I not only felt connected to others in the midst of my difficulties, I felt reconnected to Spirit. Ultimately, that was the core of what I was suffering—feeling disconnected from Spirit.

Out of this death-rebirth that I went through, I was given a vision of a new way of connecting with Spirit. This new way is all about being transparent and vulnerable with others, especially when we’re going through hard times. It requires that we really reveal what’s going on with us, like a clear pane of glass. It was scary for me to do that. I was afraid people wouldn’t respect me or would lose trust in me as someone who has valuable things to share. I thought my pain wasn’t valuable, and in fact would make people distrust me.

But something else happened altogether. People opened their hearts to me. They told me their struggles. And through their sharing, I felt deeply connected to them. I’ve known this part for a long time—that being honest and open about your difficulties opens people’s hearts in relationship like almost nothing else. It’s part of what I teach and coach others to do. What I didn’t realize was that doing this with others would reconnect me to Spirit in such a powerful way. From my vantage point now, that seems ridiculously obvious. But it wasn’t obvious to me before.

I’m imagining a new kind of church or spiritual gathering, where people get together and share their challenges honestly and transparently. Actually, it’s already being done, but under different names. It’s called a 12-step meeting or a Nonviolent Communication practice group, or a women’s or men’s group, etc. But what if we actually called it a God group? What if we acknowledged up front that sharing our challenges with others is one of the fastest and most direct ways to connect us with Spirit? I like that. I like it a lot. Maybe this is the next step in our spiritual evolution, a new way that we’re ready for, of bringing each other to Spirit. Instead of trying to teach each other, preach to each other, or change each other, we simply show each other our human divinity. I suspect the part we’re most hungry for is our vulnerable humanity. And we generally connect with that most strongly through our challenges.

A long time ago, I learned a form of universal prayer that was very simple, yet very powerful. It had two parts. The first part was for releasing whatever was blocking or obstructing you. The second part was for bringing in what you were wanting or intending. What was emphasized was that for the prayer to be effective, we had to engage the first part all the way through to completion. Until we let go of our blocks and obstructions, no amount of intention is going to make a difference. I think that’s because the blocks and obstacles are usually going on in our subconscious, which for most of us is stronger than our conscious mind. So it’s essential for us to do our “housecleaning” there first before we try to install something new.

I’m relating these two parts to the larger process of how we connect to God or Spirit. Perhaps we’re over-focused on the second part, in our intention and efforts to connect with Spirit. And perhaps our sharing our challenges with others is a powerful form of doing the first part, of releasing our blocks to connecting with Spirit. What I like about it is how powerful it is as a process of trust and letting go. We’re not trying to do anything about our struggles, to fix them or change them. We’re simply revealing them to others. In doing so, we’re opening ourselves to God. And it’s happening in a context of being held, energetically and psychically, by others who are hearing and witnessing us. I see this as great form of love and trust, for everyone involved.

Of course this is totally aligned to what Mary Magdalene is explaining in depth in Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love. One of her main themes is that our pain is intended to take us into communion with God. In the book, she gives detailed instructions about how we can do this ourselves. Sharing our pain and challenges with others feels like an extension of this, a way we can do this with others.

I love this! What a gift this has been to me, and what a surprise that it’s led me to this place. Thank you to all of you who responded to my sharing my difficulties and in turn shared your own. Thank you for walking this path with me, for helping me reconnect with Spirit in such a profound way, and for showing me a whole new vision of how to do this in the future. I have been feeling so strongly that our future is going to have new forms and processes that are based on co-creativity and mutual support, rather than the old models that are based on authority and hierarchy. I feel I’ve been shown one such process.

MARY MAGDALENE: Knowing Your Soul Path and Soul Agreements

Part 3 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel

On November 7, 2013

Question: Do we each have an individual path that we have already decided upon before our birth or are things changing as time moves on? For instance, maybe God planned to use us (those of us who pray to surrender our lives) in one way, but with the way things have gone, could better use us in an entirely different way? What is the best way to serve God and the highest good of all involved?

Mary Magdalene: Thank you for your question. This has to do with the process of what beings decide before taking on an incarnation and how that affects them in their incarnation. It is true that before a being incarnates on the third dimension—on Earth, as the example we’re talking about right now—that individual makes very specific agreements relative to what they want to experience in their lifetime and how they want to serve. They decide how they want to make use of their spiritual gifts and their spiritual energy, for the greater good of many. This is what you might call living your life purpose. It is a combination of both furthering your own personal soul growth through your incarnation, and also bringing energy and manifesting for the greater good of many beings while you are incarnate.

In general, souls do make soul agreements before they incarnate. The major events of your life are chosen at that time, prior to your birth. However, within that there is a great deal of space for your free choice during your lifetime and your incarnation as to the more day-to-day aspects of what you will be choosing in your life. You also have choice, to a certain extent, as to the ways you will be fulfilling the agreements you made. So it is a combination. There is free choice after you incarnate, and it is also true that you have exercised your free choice as a soul prior to incarnating. Some of what you are experiencing in your Earth life is the continuation and the fulfillment of those choices at this level.

However, one of the challenges in the Earth plane is that you do not remember this process. You do not remember the soul choices you made. For many, it is a confusing process to have clarity about what your soul path is and to feel confident that you are on your soul path.

There are two things I would suggest that are most helpful in knowing and being clear about your soul path, and being confident that you are following your soul path. One is to be very connected to your heart and to allow your heart to guide you. This is something that I have spoken about before. I talked about this in depth in the book that I gave through Mercedes, Mary Magdalene Beckons. That book contains many messages from me about how to be in your heart. This is very important for many people at this time.

What many people don’t understand is that it is not simply about desiring or intending to be in your heart. That must be supported by your very real relationship with your body, your sexuality, and your emotions. Your degree of development and mastery in these three areas will greatly influence your ability to be in your heart or not. So I have urged many times that people focus on and become strong in these three arenas, handling anything that you need to handle that is not full and strong in these areas.

The one that is most challenging for people, in general, is the emotional arena and the way that people respond to emotional pain. I have given great instruction through Mercedes and through the book that she created out of my instruction, which is available to people to help you in that area. I again urge people to make use of this to help you to stay in your heart, which will inform you as to what your true soul path is. It’s confusing if you are coming from your mind. Your mind is important and your mind supports you in many ways. But your mind is not capable of having the kind of clarity at the soul level that your heart does. This is why being strong in your heart will be a great support.

The other reason that being strong in your heart is a great support is because it allows you to open to your higher self. Your higher self has access to your soul wisdom and your soul path. So once you are strong and able to be stably seated in your heart, you will be able to make this connection with your higher self. And your higher self can help to give you the information you need as to what your soul wants you to be doing.

It is not so much that there is another, separate being, who you might refer to as “God,” who has plans for you as to what you should be doing for your soul work or soul purpose in this lifetime. It is your higher self that will be guiding you. Your higher self is an aspect of God manifesting individually for you. You will understand over time that God is not a separate being somewhere else who is directing the play of events here on Earth. Everything that is here, everything that is manifested is an aspect of God. You are an aspect of God. All is an aspect of God. Your higher self is the part of you that remembers this most clearly. Your higher self can help you to remember your God-self and know your path as your God-self. As you grow spiritually, this will all become much clearer. But for most beings at the third-dimension, this tends to be a confusing area.

Opening to your higher self will help you to have the clarity you need. This is a very important part of the transformation that all beings are in the process of right now. Opening to your higher self will help you to move into the next stage of spiritual growth that humanity as a whole is prepared to move into and is in the process of going into at this time. In whatever way you are able to connect with your higher self, that will help you.

For most people, this will involve a progression that requires that you first have the ability to open your heart and to live from your heart. Within that step, there is a progression of doing things that allow you to be in your heart—mastering the areas of your body, your sexuality, and your emotions so that your heart can open and you can become stable in living from your heart. On that basis, you will find an ease in opening to your higher self. And your higher self will begin to guide you.

This is the most personal form of your guidance in God. It does not come from a separate God who is in charge. Your higher self is God, and this is the aspect of God that is most directly accessible to you.

I offer you my fullest blessings and love, and support you in your process. I urge you to strengthen whatever needs strengthening. And of course, I am not just speaking to you. I am speaking to all beings in saying this, that all may become full in living in their heart and connecting with their higher self, which will give you the wonderful gift of understanding what is right for you in each moment of living your path in God.

Blessings to you my dear one.

MARY MAGDALENE: Dealing With Feeling Special

Part 2 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On October 3, 2013

Question: I have a question concerning “specialness.” I am a light worker and am here to serve. I know that none of us are special—we are all the same, one love—but I court that feeling sometimes. Based on how it feels when it comes up, it doesn’t feel like it serves me. How do I deal with this?

Mary Magdalene: The question that you ask is a very good one and I feel your integrity in this, your wanting to stay true to your spiritual purpose and to your spiritual path, to not get distracted from that. I honor you for this and I feel your heart so much in your question. I want to really acknowledge that.

I also want to say that I suspect there may be a slight confusion you’re holding relative to this, which I’m hoping I may be able to help you with.

When you say that we are all one, that is absolutely true. That is a true statement about all of us. But it is not the whole picture.

The whole picture, from my point of view, is that you are both one, or non-separate, and you are also individuated. This is especially the case at the third dimension, where you experience yourself as an individuated being, who is not the same as everyone else, who is unique, and individual or different. This is part of the reality, you might say, that you experience in the third dimension. As part of this, everyone at the third dimension has their unique strengths and challenges.

What you are calling special may simply be a strength you have. It might be different from others, because others may not have that particular strength. Or if they have it, they may have it in a different way. Or they may be using it in a different form or arena. Others also will not have the same challenges that you have. And they will have their own strengths, strengths that you don’t have. They will have ways they’re making use of those strengths, and arenas in which they’re bringing those strengths, that you’re not doing.

So there may be very much realness to your sense of specialness. Perhaps special is a triggering word for you. Perhaps it would be better to just call it uniqueness. Then imagine that it’s not only uniqueness, but uniqueness combined with a sense of being on your path, really living your life purpose, and in that, being aligned with your higher self. That is most wonderful. I wouldn’t want you to diminish that in any way. That is a divine gift you are receiving. I encourage you to fully allow yourself to receive that, if I’m understanding you correctly, because that is an aspect of union with God. That is what everyone is here for. So I encourage you to absolutely receive that in its fullness, as a wonderful blessing, a state of grace and blessedness.

I think perhaps what you might be concerned about is feeling that this might make you somehow superior or “better than.” That is a challenge, and can even be a trap, at the third dimension—to take your gifts and blessings to mean that therefore “I’m better than others,” or superior somehow, or even just the sense that it separates you from others. If you are truly experiencing your gifts as grace, as living your life purpose in union with God, this will open your heart. You will have the experience of greater union with others. That is one of the ways you can tell that this is actually you being on purpose.

I’m guessing that you are experiencing yourself being on purpose. I’m guessing that this is just a thought you’re having that is standing in your way. What I would suggest is to fully embrace your specialness or uniqueness. Thank God, thank the divine that you are having this wonderful experience of union with the oneness and wholeness of God. If it is taking you into any sense of feeling superior, or special in a separate way. or a way of comparing yourself to others and feeling somehow better, then that is something you can work with in various ways. One way is just to understand that this is a blessing you’re receiving and it’s not at all depriving any others in this moment. The more you receive God in God’s wholeness, the more you can share that with others.

It is absolutely true at the third dimension that you have strengths. It is a God-given blessing to use your strengths. Don’t be concerned about that somehow not being aligned to spiritual work. It is totally aligned. But let it take you all the way through to union with God. Know that this gift that you’re using in this moment is really enabling you to come into union with God and to bring God’s wholeness forward. That is the real blessing.

I hope this has been helpful to you. I thank you again for all the work you are doing and your wonderful intention and dedication to your spiritual path. Many blessings to you.
