The New Form Of Connecting With God
By Mercedes Kirkel
January 22, 2014
My last blog post, “TRUST AND LET GO,” was a big leap of faith for me. As I shared in my newsletter:
I feel very vulnerable when I put out messages that are personal to me—partly because they always come when I’m struggling in some way or other, so in publishing the message I’m revealing my struggles to whoever reads it. The other reason I feel vulnerable is because I doubt that others will relate to my challenges. Even though I have heard repeatedly that that’s not the case, my doubt still haunts me.
Immediately after I sent out the newsletter with that blog post, I started to receive responses from many people, telling me that they’d been experiencing very similar things and that the message from my guides and higher self was speaking to them, too. My heart felt so filled with love and joy upon receiving all th0se emails—the feeling reminded me of Santa Claus at Christmas handing out presents to kids. Rather than the disconnection and emptiness I’d been experiencing, now I felt expansively joyful. It wasn’t the fact that others were struggling that was making me happy. It was because I felt reassured that what was happening was much, much bigger than me, like God-big or Spirit-big. By hearing from so many people, I not only felt connected to others in the midst of my difficulties, I felt reconnected to Spirit. Ultimately, that was the core of what I was suffering—feeling disconnected from Spirit.
Out of this death-rebirth that I went through, I was given a vision of a new way of connecting with Spirit. This new way is all about being transparent and vulnerable with others, especially when we’re going through hard times. It requires that we really reveal what’s going on with us, like a clear pane of glass. It was scary for me to do that. I was afraid people wouldn’t respect me or would lose trust in me as someone who has valuable things to share. I thought my pain wasn’t valuable, and in fact would make people distrust me.
But something else happened altogether. People opened their hearts to me. They told me their struggles. And through their sharing, I felt deeply connected to them. I’ve known this part for a long time—that being honest and open about your difficulties opens people’s hearts in relationship like almost nothing else. It’s part of what I teach and coach others to do. What I didn’t realize was that doing this with others would reconnect me to Spirit in such a powerful way. From my vantage point now, that seems ridiculously obvious. But it wasn’t obvious to me before.
I’m imagining a new kind of church or spiritual gathering, where people get together and share their challenges honestly and transparently. Actually, it’s already being done, but under different names. It’s called a 12-step meeting or a Nonviolent Communication practice group, or a women’s or men’s group, etc. But what if we actually called it a God group? What if we acknowledged up front that sharing our challenges with others is one of the fastest and most direct ways to connect us with Spirit? I like that. I like it a lot. Maybe this is the next step in our spiritual evolution, a new way that we’re ready for, of bringing each other to Spirit. Instead of trying to teach each other, preach to each other, or change each other, we simply show each other our human divinity. I suspect the part we’re most hungry for is our vulnerable humanity. And we generally connect with that most strongly through our challenges.
A long time ago, I learned a form of universal prayer that was very simple, yet very powerful. It had two parts. The first part was for releasing whatever was blocking or obstructing you. The second part was for bringing in what you were wanting or intending. What was emphasized was that for the prayer to be effective, we had to engage the first part all the way through to completion. Until we let go of our blocks and obstructions, no amount of intention is going to make a difference. I think that’s because the blocks and obstacles are usually going on in our subconscious, which for most of us is stronger than our conscious mind. So it’s essential for us to do our “housecleaning” there first before we try to install something new.
I’m relating these two parts to the larger process of how we connect to God or Spirit. Perhaps we’re over-focused on the second part, in our intention and efforts to connect with Spirit. And perhaps our sharing our challenges with others is a powerful form of doing the first part, of releasing our blocks to connecting with Spirit. What I like about it is how powerful it is as a process of trust and letting go. We’re not trying to do anything about our struggles, to fix them or change them. We’re simply revealing them to others. In doing so, we’re opening ourselves to God. And it’s happening in a context of being held, energetically and psychically, by others who are hearing and witnessing us. I see this as great form of love and trust, for everyone involved.
Of course this is totally aligned to what Mary Magdalene is explaining in depth in Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love. One of her main themes is that our pain is intended to take us into communion with God. In the book, she gives detailed instructions about how we can do this ourselves. Sharing our pain and challenges with others feels like an extension of this, a way we can do this with others.
I love this! What a gift this has been to me, and what a surprise that it’s led me to this place. Thank you to all of you who responded to my sharing my difficulties and in turn shared your own. Thank you for walking this path with me, for helping me reconnect with Spirit in such a profound way, and for showing me a whole new vision of how to do this in the future. I have been feeling so strongly that our future is going to have new forms and processes that are based on co-creativity and mutual support, rather than the old models that are based on authority and hierarchy. I feel I’ve been shown one such process.

MARY MAGDALENE: My Union With Yeshua In Spirit Form
Part 4 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On November 7, 2013
Question: I would like to ask something regarding your sacred union with Yeshua while he was in a physical vessel and also after he ascended back into his light body. I heard that when Yeshua ascended, he still came to be with you and this continued to the end of your earth life. How did you continue this physical/spiritual relationship? Was it different with Yeshua being in spirit or the same as when he was in human form? And with Yeshua in spirit form, was it possible for him to be or feel just as physically real? How did you handle having Yeshua in spirit form? How did it sustain you until you returned to the higher realms in your light body?
Mary Magdalene: I thank you for your beautiful question. I feel your love, I feel your openness, and I feel your heart so strongly in what you’re asking, and I am very happy to respond.
It is true that after Yeshua was no longer embodied in the physical plane, that I still maintained my contact with him through his light body, in many ways not different from what many of you experience through your ability to open to beings in other dimensions. And so I was able to continue my relationship with Yeshua while I was still physically embodied and manifest in the Earth plane, in the third dimension, even though he was no longer here. It is something that I could initiate or he could initiate, and we very much valued our connection with each other.
Of course, it was different than when he was physically manifested. We did not have the physical interactions that we had before. And there is something very beautiful—very, very beautiful—about the physical. It was one of the great beauties that we experienced that in our time together on Earth.
On the other hand, when connecting with a being purely through the energetic–via the ethereal or the spiritual bodies—where the physical is not involved, this has a sweetness and a beauty all unto itself. In many ways it is even more wonderful, more sublime than the physical union. Some of you have had this experience and know what it is like to have this kind of exquisite contact with another being in a higher realm.
The challenge in this form of relating is that when you are not having that experience, it is much easier to forget it, to doubt it with your mind, to wonder if it was real, and to have it fade and seem to be preempted in some ways by the density of third-dimensional reality. This is not really different from what happens for all beings in their spiritual connection and their spiritual work at the third dimension. Many of you have this experience when you do your spiritual practices, whether they are meditation, prayer, or whatever form you find that supports you in your deepest and greatest connection with God and Spirit. You will have occasions where this connection seems very strong for you. These may occur during your private, daily occasions. They may be occasions when you’re with a teacher who supports you most fully in making your connection with Spirit. It may happen on occasions where you’re with a group and the group energy supports you, occasions when you’re in nature—this can be very strong for many people; occasions when you’re doing your work and you feel so blessed and happy. Whatever it is that opens you to Spirit most fully, you have these occasions and then they come to an end, and many of you have the experience of that higher reality seeming to fade, going back into the background, and somewhat getting lost in the day-to-day experience of third-dimensional reality.
This is the challenge with relationships with loved ones when one is physically incarnated and one is not physically incarnated at that time. It takes the same thing that any spiritual work takes in the third dimension. It takes spiritual strength. It takes trust. It takes faith. It takes intention and actually doing the things that support you spiritually. You are creating a relationship. And any relationship takes a certain kind of work, a certain kind of opening. You might call this a unique form, unique to many, although there are many who are having this experience, as well. And it will continue to grow as people open more and more to the higher dimensions, and understand more and more how to be with beings in the higher dimensions.
So it is entirely possible and entirely wonderful. But in some ways you are bridging the worlds and living, you might say, with a foot in each world. There is a certain art to doing that. It can be done, but there is an ease and relaxation when both beings are spiritually present in the same world. It was a great, great, wonderful reunion when I was reunited in the higher realms at the same level with my beloved Yeshua. And we continued to enjoy that wonderful sharing. A part of that sharing is that our primary home is again in the same dimension.
I hope that that was helpful to you. I send my heart blessings to you and my great, great love. Know that love, as it manifests in any form, is a divine gift. Love with another who is manifested in another dimension is certainly no less of a gift—in some ways, even a more wonderful gift, but with its unique challenges. I bless you for whatever you are going through to be strong, to have your heart open to the blessings you are receiving, to know that there is growth in whatever the challenges are, and to have faith to draw upon and to ask for help in whatever your challenges are.
Many blessings to you, with great love. I AM Mary Magdalene.

My Passage Into 2014
By Mercedes Kirkel
January 1, 2014
I was anticipating the Christmas holidays being difficult this year because that’s what I experienced at Thanksgiving. As it turned out, I had a lovely Christmas, though markedly different from any other. From what I’ve heard from others, the unusualness of this holiday season seemed to be true for many people.
There was one event that particularly stands out for me. I was having a special dinner with my father on Christmas Eve, just the two of us eating alone in his room at his assisted living home. We were having a wonderful time, when one of the residents began to have a medical emergency. While eating her meal in the dining room, a piece of food became lodged in her throat and she couldn’t get it out. She wasn’t choking and was able to breathe and talk, but couldn’t release the food.
The woman was brought into the bathroom, which was directly opposite my dad’s open door. Since I was facing the hallway, I was able to see and hear everything that was going on. The attendants tried the Heimlich maneuver several times but to no avail. So the paramedics were called and in marched seven firemen. My dad was completely oblivious to the whole brouhaha, because his back was to the door and his hearing is quite limited. Since the woman didn’t appear to be in any danger, I decided not to tell him what was happening. I guessed it would disturb him and I wanted him to continue to enjoy our special time together.
As for me, I felt like I was in a surreal scene, which reminded me of a Fellini movie. I was simultaneously engaged in a calm, joyful dinner with my father and a swirl of medical commotion that was like a scene out of “ER.” The interesting thing was that I had no problem being fully present for both realities simultaneously.
Reflecting back now, I see this as a mirror of what’s happening for many of us at this time. We find ourselves walking between worlds, holding more than one reality or “timeline” at the same time as we transition into our next phase of higher consciousness. What struck me about the Christmas Eve event was how easeful it was for me to embrace both at the same time and how comfortable I was simply allowing my experience to unfold however it would. It reminds me of Mary Magdalene’s advice in Mary Magdalene Beckons to surrender to the process of transformation like women have learned to do through the natural childbirth movement. And I do believe we are all in the midst of a birth—of ourselves and our world—into the new age ahead.
After dinner that night, my dad and I watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” together. My dad can’t really follow a plot in a movie any longer, so I explained to him what was happening in every scene. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but I sensed my father was sticking with it for my sake. At the end he announced, “That was a very impractical movie!” I laughed, knowing that he meant “unrealistic.” I explained my point of view, how it’s an allegory, but perhaps more true than we realize. He relaxed hearing what I had to say, probably mostly because he was happy the movie was over and we were together.
Then my dad did something that felt so endearingly tender and vulnerable—he asked me to tuck him into bed. I remembered all the times as a child he had tucked me into bed. This was the first time he’d ever asked to receive this beautiful ritual from me. Tucking him into bed was really the peak of my Christmas, the most beautiful present I received. I was brimming over with bliss to be able to express our shared love through that simple act.
Right after Christmas I became sick for the second time in the past month. I was surprised and annoyed, feeling unwilling to surrender my plans for the remainder of the holidays to sickness again. Nonetheless, as the sickness took hold I became increasingly dysfunctional with each passing day. By New Year’s Eve, I’d finally let go of all attempts to be productive (which is really tough for me!). Other than a wonderful “Global Group Hug” I participated in through meditation, I spent the day surfing the computer and lying on the couch watching delightful old movies. To my surprise, by nighttime, I actually felt a lot better.
I went to bed with a deeply felt prayer that I may turn everything over to God (including my somewhat compulsive drive for doing my work), allow God to direct my life for the highest good, and profoundly trust that process. I woke up on New Year’s morning feeling like a new version of me—filled with energy and excitement for my projects ahead. Yippeeeeee!!!!! I love that feeling.
I was reminded of Jimmy Stewart’s character in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” suddenly getting his life back and realizing how great it was. The death-rebirth symbolism was hard to miss, as well as the personal lesson that it’s all about surrender to and trust in God, rather than trying to push the river with my ego. Not an easy one for me, as I’m such a dedicated doer. But maybe I’m finally ready to accept this level of letting go into God as the basis of my life. I deeply hope so.
I ask for everyone’s blessings who is reading this, that this “turning of the wheel” into 2014 may mark my transition into living profoundly in surrender, trust, and faith in God. And I send my blessings to all of you – all who are reading this, all my friends and family, and all members of the family of humanity – that we may all receive the gifts we most need as completely as possible; that we may move fully into our next level of embodying our human-divinity; and that our world may become an increasingly blessed and beautiful realm of human consciousness and love for all, by all.
So be it!

A Lesson In Compassion
By Mercedes Kirkel
The last blog post, “Why Evil People Flourish While Good People Suffer,” generated more controversy than anything else I’ve posted to date! Most of the controversy involved people’s wide-ranging beliefs relative to evil and good, including what evil and good really are and whether they exist at all. I found the great diversity of responses quite interesting. Reading them gave me an important insight as to why I was so moved by Mary Magdalene’s message.
I strongly recommend reading that post if you haven’t already. In short, it’s Mary Magdalene’s response to a question that was posed to her, asking why evil people flourish while good people suffer. The question was submitted to me in advance, so I could ask it of Mary on behalf of everyone. When I received the question, I imagined how Mary might respond. In Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love, Mary states that beings in the higher dimensions do not see things in terms of good-bad, right-wrong, good-evil, etc. So I anticipated that Mary would respond in a similar vein, perhaps also addressing the pain that might stimulate someone to see the world in that way.
Whenever I pre-guess how Mary is going to respond, I’m almost always wrong. It’s one of the things that consistently affirms to me that it’s Mary speaking and not me. This time was no different.
In this particular instance, when I asked the question of Mary, the feeling-sense I had was of tremendous compassion. I felt Mary tuning into the state of the questioner with great love, while thanking the person for asking that question and acknowledging the distress it was causing for that individual. Then I felt her reaching—stretching to bridge her reality to the experiences of the person asking the question. But it was done through feeling, not ideas. Her words were simply ways to support the sharing of her heart-experience with that being.
It was clear to me that Mary was feeling the person. She was experiencing a person in pain and deeply considering how she could help them. It reminds me of what I used to teach in parenting classes: When a young child hurts themself, attend to their physical and emotional pain in the moment. Hold them. Help them breathe and calm down. Help them through their pain. Don’t lecture them. They won’t hear it in that moment anyway. They’re in too much pain to receive any instruction about what they “should have done” or “shouldn’t have done.” Save the education for later, when you’re both calm, balanced, and open.
By contrast, my impulse was to educate. I was coming from my mind and assuming a position of subtle superiority—that my views were more correct. In noticing how Mary responded and how it was different from what I was expecting, I saw that she was coming from her heart. It didn’t stop her from communicating ideas, but I could tell that was secondary. And her heart informed her which ideas would be most helpful to this particular person, in this particular situation. While it was obvious from the responses I received to her message that her answer touched and helped many people, it wasn’t the same kind of universal message I’ve received from her at other times, when she was in more of a pure teaching mode. This was for one person, who was in pain.
I was reminded of this again at the end of her communication, when she sincerely expressed that she hoped what she communicated had helped and said that her heart went out to that person. I so strongly felt her caring and love, as well as her genuine respect for an individual wanting to understand and grow.
I think that sometimes, in our enthusiasm for what we ourselves have learned, our excitement to share it with others, and our hope to contribute through doing that, we may lose some of our caring and respect for another person who’s in pain. We become more connected to the concepts than to the person. Mary taught me a huge lesson about this through her response to this questioner. I hope next time someone asks me a question, I will respond from my heart first, allowing my mind to support that response but not to overpower it.

MARY MAGDALENE: Why Evil People Flourish While Good People Suffer
Part Two of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On November 7, 2013
Question: Why do evil people constantly flourish while multitudes suffer for doing nothing or for doing the morally right thing? This dynamic is grotesquely out of proportion and has been for thousands of earth years. Yet the Creator (elders) have failed to assist us in any meaningful or lasting way. Why?
Mary Magdalene: I thank you for your question. I sense your great distress—that this is something that is deeply disturbing to you and which you are really looking for help with. I will do my best to address your concerns and the issues you have raised.
There are a number of parts to this. First of all, it is very difficult to understand everything going on at the Earth level from the perspective of being incarnated on the Earth plane. There is more going on than is easily understood. Oftentimes people at the Earth, or third-dimensional level don’t see the whole picture and don’t understand everything that’s involved. It may appear, as you say, that there are evil people and they seem to be flourishing, while others—who seem very good-hearted and upholding the light—seem to be struggling, or not having the benefit of doing well and being supported. But that is not entirely what is going on.
Indeed, if you looked at Yeshua’s life or my life, you might say that we were not supported. But in fact, we came to the Earth to do very specific work and we actually did that work. Everything we did was for a purpose. It all had a reason.
At the third dimension, there is what is often called “the veil of forgetting.” Before your life, there are many events that you plan. After your life, you will look back on your life and review what occurred. At that time you will remember what your intention was in incarnating on the Earth. Everyone goes through this. Things will become much, much clearer to you at that point.
For most people, you will be in what can be called a fourth-dimensional plane after your life, just as you were before your life. Things will appear very differently at that time. You won’t tend to look at things as good or bad, or look at individuals as evil or good. You will see that everyone was serving a very specific purpose. Everyone’s experiences were not only chosen by those individuals, but were helping them to have the kind of experiences and soul growth they were seeking.
At the higher dimensions, we don’t look at things as good or bad, evil or not evil, or whatever you might call it. We look at things as all serving in different ways. This may be hard to understand, because there are very real ramifications to things at the third-dimensional level. People really do experience pain and suffering in various ways. In fact, that is part of what beings come into the third dimension to experience. But while you are here in the third dimension, it can be very difficult to have those experiences, especially if you have forgotten your connection to the greater whole, which you might call God, source, oneness, or however you understand and relate to that.
This is why spiritual growth, practice, and development is so critical. It actually is critical at all times. Ultimately, it is all that ever matters. But at the third dimension, it has its own reasons, its own logic for being important. Part of that logic is that it is the only thing that will help you to endure the difficulties that exist at the third dimension.
My suggestion to you would be to do whatever you can to grow spiritually and to strengthen that. During your Earth time, that will most likely help you to be more at peace with the apparent dualities that you experience of some people seeming more supportive of light and some people seeming less supportive, or some people seeming to have more and some people seeming to have less. Duality is the nature of the third dimension. It is actually a gift that is offered through incarnating at the third dimension. But again, it is very difficult to understand this from the third-dimensional perspective.
So it takes great, great faith to find your connection to God and to put your trust in God in the midst of such apparent hardships. In some ways, the third dimension is one of the most difficult realms to be incarnated in, because of this great challenge. Other realms have their challenges, also. But this is a particularly difficult one in many ways. It is difficult for your mind. It is difficult for your emotions. It is difficult for your physical body. So it takes dedication, perseverance, and spiritual investment to stay centered in the midst of these kinds of things.
The more you can relax your concern about what others may seem to have or what others seem to be doing that you don’t think is for the highest good—and the more you can put your attention on yourself and what you can do to be connected to your highest spiritual source, what you can do to support yourself the very most in your spiritual work, and what you can do to support others—the better off you will be. And the more you will be relieved of this burden of feeling that something is unfair or is not as it should be. In fact all is just as it is meant to be. But that is not an easy thing to accept. It takes spiritual maturity and a level of spiritual development to truly accept and even receive that with gratitude. The more you are able to do that, the more you will see your world change.
The other thing I urge you to do is to focus on what’s actually happening in your personal sphere, because that is what you have the power to change most directly through your spiritual work and spiritual manifestation. If part of what you are being informed by is media-generated news, that information often comes from people who have very different agendas. Their spiritual work may be quite, quite different from yours. It is important to have discernment so that you do not get swept up into their spiritual work. The way that you will know what is truly your work is what’s actually brought most directly into your life and what you have the power to affect. That is what I urge you to put your awareness on. Allow your own spiritual awareness, growth, work, and consciousness to make a difference in that arena. If you are able to do this, it will be of the greatest benefit to you and ultimately you will receive everything that you need.
I cannot promise that your life will be easy. If you look at my life, it was not easy in many ways. If you look at Yeshua’s life, it was not easy in many ways. What I can say is that what will serve you the most and what will fulfill you the most is your connection with God. That is true whether your life is relatively easy or not. Regardless of your circumstances, that is what will sustain you. So I urge you to connect with God as strongly as you can. If that is very difficult for you, seek out help so that you are able to connect with God. Your difficulty may be pointing to areas in which you have wounding and which you need help healing from, so that you may receive the blessings and gifts from those circumstances. There are many who are available to help. There are many who are very gifted in supporting others in their spiritual journey.
Of course, the ultimate help is through prayer. You can always pray. You can pray and ask for clarity. You can ask for understanding. You can ask for forgiveness. You can ask for peace. You can ask for guidance as to what you need to do personally. You can ask for being given whatever help you seem to require. I completely urge you to pray and ask God for help.
I hope this has been helpful to you. My heart goes out to you and I send my greatest blessings to you for your spiritual journey. With much love to you, I close now.

MARY MAGDALENE: What Will Support You Most In Living In Your Heart
Part 3 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On October 3, 2013
Question: Which chakras or areas do people need to work on right now for their full illumination? What do you recommend to remove these blockages?
Mary Magdalene: Thank you for asking this question. I want to begin by saying that, obviously, it is unique for each person what their individual challenges or blockages are, what they need to work on, and what would be the best avenue for them for doing that work.
Nevertheless, there are patterns right now in your world and your culture, as far as what blockages people are experiencing, in general, relative to their chakras or to different areas of their lives, and what they can do about these blockages. I focused on this a lot in the first series of messages I gave to Mercedes, which are contained in the book, Mary Magdalene Beckons. I urge people to make use of that book for a very full and deep discussion of just this thing—the blockages that are presenting themselves and the specific actions people can take to move beyond these. But I will briefly reference what those are in a summary way right now.
The number one blockage that most people are experiencing, and which I believe is holding most people back in their spiritual growth more than anything else, is their blockage relative to emotions. Specifically this occurs when people are dealing with painful emotions. This is related to the second chakra, which is the chakra where most people have the most challenge. This is also the chakra of sexuality and relationships, and these are areas that many people are challenged in, as well.
The wonderful thing is that your challenge is also your opportunity. Your emotions, sexuality, and relationships are your greatest opportunities for spiritual growth at this time. This is related to what’s specifically being called for at this time for most people, which is to strengthen your inner Divine Feminine. Most people are underdeveloped in their inner Divine Feminine. It is an area that has been held back and actually withheld—culturally, educationally, and in many, many ways—for a very long time in your world. Most of you have developed your Masculine side rather exclusively, so now you are overdeveloped in your Masculine side and underdeveloped in your Feminine side. This is true for women and men. Everyone, regardless of your gender, needs to be strong in both.
At this time there is a great opening for the Divine Feminine. There is also great need for the Divine Feminine. It is required that the Divine Feminine become strong so that she can come into balance with the Divine Masculine. This needs to happen within all of you. Really it’s even greater than coming into balance. It’s coming into sacred union, the Divine Feminine and Masculine coming together in wholeness and oneness. It is a great, great beauty when you experience that.
I was most blessed to have that experience with my beloved Yeshua. It is not different from the experience that all of you will have, even within yourself, when you experience this union. It is a most wonderful thing. It is what you are all being called to, and in fact, what is required for you to make the transition into the new age before you.
Many of you are doing wonderful work in this area. But there is a great deal to be done. When this strengthening of the Divine Feminine is strong and full, it will allow you to live in your heart, as an ongoing, continual experience. I know that so many of you long for this, and it is underway. The thing that will support you the most in this is developing strength in your relationship to your emotions, and especially your painful emotions. That is the number one area that will help you more than anything else.
As I said earlier, I have explained how to do this in detail in my instructions in Mary Magdalene Beckons. It’s really quite a simple path. But for many, it will not be easy, because you are so trained in other ways that have excluded this. The basics are given in that book and I encourage all of you to make use of it. Transforming the way you respond to and make use of painful emotions will help you and your world more than anything else.
Thank you for your question. I send you my love and blessings.

MARY MAGDALENE: Dealing With Feeling Special
Part 2 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On October 3, 2013
Question: I have a question concerning “specialness.” I am a light worker and am here to serve. I know that none of us are special—we are all the same, one love—but I court that feeling sometimes. Based on how it feels when it comes up, it doesn’t feel like it serves me. How do I deal with this?
Mary Magdalene: The question that you ask is a very good one and I feel your integrity in this, your wanting to stay true to your spiritual purpose and to your spiritual path, to not get distracted from that. I honor you for this and I feel your heart so much in your question. I want to really acknowledge that.
I also want to say that I suspect there may be a slight confusion you’re holding relative to this, which I’m hoping I may be able to help you with.
When you say that we are all one, that is absolutely true. That is a true statement about all of us. But it is not the whole picture.
The whole picture, from my point of view, is that you are both one, or non-separate, and you are also individuated. This is especially the case at the third dimension, where you experience yourself as an individuated being, who is not the same as everyone else, who is unique, and individual or different. This is part of the reality, you might say, that you experience in the third dimension. As part of this, everyone at the third dimension has their unique strengths and challenges.
What you are calling special may simply be a strength you have. It might be different from others, because others may not have that particular strength. Or if they have it, they may have it in a different way. Or they may be using it in a different form or arena. Others also will not have the same challenges that you have. And they will have their own strengths, strengths that you don’t have. They will have ways they’re making use of those strengths, and arenas in which they’re bringing those strengths, that you’re not doing.
So there may be very much realness to your sense of specialness. Perhaps special is a triggering word for you. Perhaps it would be better to just call it uniqueness. Then imagine that it’s not only uniqueness, but uniqueness combined with a sense of being on your path, really living your life purpose, and in that, being aligned with your higher self. That is most wonderful. I wouldn’t want you to diminish that in any way. That is a divine gift you are receiving. I encourage you to fully allow yourself to receive that, if I’m understanding you correctly, because that is an aspect of union with God. That is what everyone is here for. So I encourage you to absolutely receive that in its fullness, as a wonderful blessing, a state of grace and blessedness.
I think perhaps what you might be concerned about is feeling that this might make you somehow superior or “better than.” That is a challenge, and can even be a trap, at the third dimension—to take your gifts and blessings to mean that therefore “I’m better than others,” or superior somehow, or even just the sense that it separates you from others. If you are truly experiencing your gifts as grace, as living your life purpose in union with God, this will open your heart. You will have the experience of greater union with others. That is one of the ways you can tell that this is actually you being on purpose.
I’m guessing that you are experiencing yourself being on purpose. I’m guessing that this is just a thought you’re having that is standing in your way. What I would suggest is to fully embrace your specialness or uniqueness. Thank God, thank the divine that you are having this wonderful experience of union with the oneness and wholeness of God. If it is taking you into any sense of feeling superior, or special in a separate way. or a way of comparing yourself to others and feeling somehow better, then that is something you can work with in various ways. One way is just to understand that this is a blessing you’re receiving and it’s not at all depriving any others in this moment. The more you receive God in God’s wholeness, the more you can share that with others.
It is absolutely true at the third dimension that you have strengths. It is a God-given blessing to use your strengths. Don’t be concerned about that somehow not being aligned to spiritual work. It is totally aligned. But let it take you all the way through to union with God. Know that this gift that you’re using in this moment is really enabling you to come into union with God and to bring God’s wholeness forward. That is the real blessing.
I hope this has been helpful to you. I thank you again for all the work you are doing and your wonderful intention and dedication to your spiritual path. Many blessings to you.

MARY MAGDALENE: Responding to Challenge
Part 1 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On October 3, 2013
Blessings beloved ones,
This is Mary Magdalene, here with you again. I am so happy to have this opportunity to communicate with people and to answer people’s questions. As you know, it is my great, great passion to help people in their spiritual growth. The truth is that your spiritual growth is reflected in all the parts of your life. So if there is any part of your life in which you are having a challenge or wanting help with, that is actually part of your spiritual path and your spiritual growth. Those are all arenas in which I love to offer help, to bring my blessing and my point of view forth to support all of you.
As I have said before, you are at a wonderful moment right now. You’re on the precipice of great change, great growth. I think many of you are already seeing the signs in your world that this is so. Some of those signs feel wonderful and beautiful. Your life may seem more blessed, more easy. Things may be flowing in a more beautiful way, where it feels like you’re more connected to Spirit, more in the flow of life, and doing the work you came to do.
Some of the symptoms of the change may not seem so easy. It may seem that things are happening that are more challenging. Things may be coming up in parts of your life that you thought you already dealt with. Or things may be coming up that you never experienced before—difficulties, problems, challenges. This is part of the preparation for the change that is happening. You’re being given the opportunity to purify any blocks that remain. Some of them may not even be from this lifetime. Some of them may be from previous lifetimes. Some of them may be from earlier times in this life. Some of them may be things that you’ve been dealing with, which seem to be intensified or even getting more difficult.
You might relate this to what sometimes happens when you’re physically unwell—when you have some kind of illness or even a disease. The healing path can take a course where things seem to get worse before they get better. Oftentimes, what’s actually happening is that things that have been buried at a deep level are coming to the surface to be released. But in coming to the surface, you experience them more directly, more strongly, more powerfully. So you may have the sense, “What’s going on? My life seems to be harder, more difficult, getting worse.” I hope it is helpful to hear my perspective—that this can be part of the process of change, growth, and opening to the new, which really will be more wonderful and more easeful.
As much as you can, have trust and faith. Know that your life is being guided. Do the things that you know how to do to support yourself in the midst of such challenges. You may need to do certain things more than you’re used to. You may need to have more sleep. You may need to nurture yourself more. You may need to be more careful about the diet you’re eating. You may be more sensitive to things that didn’t affect you in the past, but now they are. Perhaps you’re more sensitive to people’s energies. Perhaps you need to be more conscious of the people you’re spending time with and the energy that you’re bringing into your world and reality. There are many levels to this. Hopefully most of you are aware of what things help you and what things are not supportive. Take steps to support yourself if you are experiencing more challenge. I hope this is helpful to all of you.
I want to say that, from my perspective, things are moving forward. You are progressing in this transition. I am very happy about that. Many of the beings at the higher levels want this progress and change for you, support you in this, and celebrate the transition that is happening.
Just as you may be having the experience of things in your personal life seeming to be more difficult or getting worse, this also may happen at the larger scale of your society, or your culture, or even worldwide. There may be difficulties in the political realm, or socially, or you may have experiences of challenging natural phenomena, or manmade phenomena such as technology that’s not working. There are many different ways this might appear. But it might be larger than just your individual life or people’s individual circumstances. It might be group situations that seem to be getting more challenging. This is also part of the process.
What you can do in these circumstances, first and foremost, is to support yourself in maintaining your center. Stay in the light yourself and do whatever you need to do to support the light within yourself. Then, radiate light and love to the larger circumstance. Bring your prayers, light, and blessing to these circumstances. These are the most important things. Out of that, yes, there may be practical steps and actions that you are to take, as well. But these are always secondary. The primary is through blessing, prayer, light, and love. I support you in remembering this and bringing this to your world, as best you can.

I Have Been Loved
By Mercedes Kirkel
My dad has dementia. For the last three, years I’ve watched him slowly decline. Yet our connection is as strong and beautiful as ever—even more so in some ways. It’s as though all the peripheral layers of our relationship, along with all the “stuff” of those layers, have been peeled away. What’s left is our huge heart connection to each other.
A couple of weeks ago, at the end of my visit with him, I told him it was time for me to leave. He got very sad, as he usually does. Then I remembered I had something I wanted to tell him. It was something that had come to me earlier in the day as I was driving to see him. For some reason, I started thinking about my time with my dad when I was young. For most of my life, I’ve considered my dad a workaholic during my growing up years and an absentee father. But as I was in the car driving, I started to think about all the ways my dad was there for me and all the ways he did show his love. I realized I’d never acknowledged him for that. I made a commitment to myself to do that during this visit.
So there we were, near the door of his assisted living home, and I reconnected with what I wanted to tell him, feeling incredibly grateful that I’d remembered. I knelt down to his level (he’s in a wheelchair), looked in his eyes, and thanked him for all the things he’s done for me, especially in my early life. I acknowledged him for working so hard to support me and our family, and what a good job he did of that. I thanked him for providing me with food, clothes, a home, music and dance lessons, putting me through college, and so much more. I told him again how much I love him and what a great dad he’s been to me. He puffed up with pride, and thanked me, and got very happy.
There was another resident of his home sitting nearby, a Native American man who’s normally very quiet. After hearing me shower my dad with gratitude, he spoke right up, telling about his dad, how he’d been in the military and all the jobs he’d had. It was so beautiful, my heart was swelling even more. I responded, saying that my dad had been in the military, too (which I know my dad is still very proud of).
Then my dad took on his loving dad role, saying, “OK, that’s enough. It’s time for you to go now. Have a safe drive home.” I’m starting to cry even as I write this, feeling how much I love him and how loved I feel by him.
I’m so glad I’ve gotten to this place, where I really feel how much I’ve been loved, in so many ways, in so many relationships. It was completely wonderful to tell my father all the ways that he, in particular, contributed to this knowingness within me—that I am loved, that I have always been loved. Even if he wasn’t “perfect” in the ways I wanted, I have been loved.

A Powerful Reminder To Love
By Mercedes Kirkel
A dear friend of mine recently went through the unexpected death of her husband. I did a life-coaching session with her to help her release the trauma she experienced around her loss. During the session, she had an interaction with Mother Mary, which she didn’t fully understand at the time. Later, after listening to my radio show [The Magdalene Hour With Mercedes Kirkel], my friend wrote me this email, sharing the exciting and deeply meaningful breakthrough she’d had. With her generous permission, I share her letter below, because it’s filled with wisdom for all of us. I hope you find it as valuable and moving as I did.
I really enjoyed your radio show. At the end something interesting happened. Do you remember when we did the trauma work and Mary handed me a white, glowing, throbbing ball? I experienced it as a cross between a baby and a heart, and I tucked it into my own heart.
I asked Mary a couple times what it was, but didn’t get an answer. Then right at the very end of your radio show I suddenly understood. She had handed me my pain. The white ball was my pain—that was her gift to carry in my heart.
I thought more about the pain and what exactly it is. I realized it’s that I got disconnected from the love in my marriage. In being married for thirty-five years to a man I loved, I let myself slip out of awareness and forgot to a large degree how much I loved him. I mean I always knew it, but it was dialed way down in the background. I was much more aware of irritation, annoyance, anger, fear, judgment, boredom, etc., than of the profound love I had for him. And I think he did the same with me.
We both fell into a kind of shyness around each other about expressing our love often and out loud, which is sort of strange, but I think it’s common. I think there can be a kind of shyness when two lives are so intimately wound and you talk about every practical matter under the sun. It gets hard to switch into a mode where you’re expressing your deep passionate love. It’s almost like it’s embarrassing or somehow inappropriate. I think it’s much easier in part-time, distant, semi-fantasy relationships—like the ones we both had in the past—to let the passion flow freely.
So the love between us got blocked and semi-buried, until the searing pain of his loss brought it back to the surface. Since he’s not here anymore, I don’t get the chance to heal the pain with him in this lifetime—not in the same way as if he were still on earth—which is another aspect of the pain. It makes sense now that the pain is my gift from Mary. If I can carry it, and continue to feel it, and stay aware of it, I have a chance to remember to stay aware of love in my life—not just for him, but for everyone I love. I have a chance to let people know how much I love them, to drop the inhibition, to remind them and myself that I love them, and not let things go unsaid or partially said.
What Yeshua said in your recent channeling about God’s love in relationships feels very powerful for me right now. When I blocked my love for my husband, I blocked God’s love coming through each of us to the other. It’s similar to what you said on your radio show that by doubting you were channeling Mary Magdalene, you were doubting God. I still wish my husband could have lived, but if he had I would most likely have continued on the same path of blocked love.
I know it’s way too soon, but I want so much to have another chance at a love partnership in this lifetime—a chance to keep love in the forefront instead of taking it for granted, forgetting it, letting it get overshadowed by day-to-day concerns, habits, irritations. A chance to stay awake in it.
I send love to you. Thanks for doing what you do.
