MARY MAGDALENE: The Feminine Path to Love
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 1, 2015
Question: Can you elaborate on ways we can connect with the Feminine?
Mary Magdalene: Yes. The messages that I brought forth that are in the book Mary Magdalene Beckons are very much about that. You connect with the Feminine through your emotions, your sexuality and your physical body. There is wisdom and artfulness in all of these areas, so that they support your union with God.
The highest form of the Feminine is love. Your body, sexuality, and emotions all support you in becoming love, becoming seeded in your heart and living as love.
Many of you want to live as love, but you’re looking at the wrong factors. You look at an incident where you failed to be the loving person you would like to be. Then you try to fix that situation. Or perhaps you try to fix the part of your personality that you think caused the situation, or caused your response to the situation. It doesn’t actually work that way. You can’t form yourself into love in that way. You have to start with loving yourself.
These Feminine parts of you are calling out to you. The first is your physical body, You are being called to love your physical body. Spend time loving your physical body. Spend time being naked with your body, taking off these clothes, loving the body that you are. Do not endlessly berate yourself for not being something you think you should be or would like to be. Love this physical body.
Spend time healing shame, if you have shame about your physical body. If you think about taking off your clothes and having others see you, and you feel shame—and most do, you are not unique if that’s the case—that requires healing. You body is a temple of God. It is part of your Feminine, your temple.
You have beautiful pets that you’re in love with and you don’t feel the need, in general, to clothe them. Yet you don’t feel the same about your own body and its beauty.
Your sexuality is also your Feminine, especially when it’s used in service to love, and even more so when it’s used in service to connecting with God. Sexuality is always Feminine, because it involves energy, it is energetically based. Yet many of you control your sexuality in more Masculine ways—having your sexuality be goal-oriented, measurable, good or not good.
There is a process of healing for many of you with your sexuality. There is often shame connected with sexuality. In truth, sexuality is a sacrament of God. It is a beautiful gift of the divine, but so many were not trained to see it that way.
Beyond that, there is the whole practice of sacred sexuality, where you learn to open to the higher dimensions, open your chakras, use the sexual energy to feed the chakras, to bless and love your partner and yourself, and to open to God. That is a powerful medium of connecting with the Feminine. In today’s world most people engage their sexuality in a very Masculine way. This is one of the changes that people are ripe for.
Then there are emotions. You must learn to value your emotions. This does not mean to just be emotional, have drama in your life, and disturb yourself and others with your emotions. That is not the path. It is a path of skill, wisdom, technique. Fundamentally it is a very Feminine path of receiving the emotions, letting them do their work to take you to the place where you’ve disconnected from God, and reconnect at that place.
When you become strong in these three domains—with your body, sexuality, and emotions—you will have no question of what the Feminine is. You will be a shining light of the Feminine. These areas are not only for women, but certainly for men, too. In general, it will be more natural and perhaps easier for women to connect with the Feminine aspects of themselves. Just as for men, it is in general (though not always) easier and somewhat more natural to connect with the Masculine parts of themselves. But it is important that all are strong in both.
Most of you are so developed in the Masculine. You are well supported in that arena. It is the Feminine that needs help.
Does that answer your question?
Questioner: Yes, thank you.

MARY MAGDALENE: Who Is Isis?
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 1, 2015
Question: Can I ask about your connection to Isis?
Mary Magdalene: Yes.
Questioner: Is she the mother of all females?
Mary Magdalene: That is one way of seeing her. What you’re describing is her spiritual form. I would not say that she is the mother of all females in a physical, material way.
It may be closer to who she is to see her as the Great Mother. She is the same as the one who has appeared in many different forms. In addition to being the Great Mother—which she absolutely is—she is also the great Divine Feminine.
Isis comes through the lineage of Sirius, through Venus, and thus brings the Venusian energy very strongly into the Earth plane.
She is the exquisite Feminine, the personification of woman. She is the lover, the partner, the wife. She is the tremendous bestower of blessings of the Goddess.
She is the joy of the Divine Feminine.
Does that answer your question?
Questioner: Yes, thank you
Mary Magdalene: You are welcome.

MARY MAGDALENE: Invoking the Feminine for Men
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 1, 2015
Question (from a woman): As a body worker, how can I invoke you in certain men who need you?
Mary Magdalene: You can’t really invoke me for another person. (Mary laughs.) You can invoke me for yourself and call upon me in your interactions with those people. But it would be a transgression of free will to invoke me for another.
You certainly can share your own experiences and, if the person is so moved, they can call upon me, or whoever is right for them. It may not be me. It may be someone else who is right for them.
Questioner: OK. Thank you.
Mary Magdalene: You are welcome.

MARY MAGDALENE: Healing Body Shame
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On July 31, 2015
Relate to your body as a sacred temple, a beautiful manifestation of God. This is difficult for many of you who have shame about your body, feel that something is wrong with your body, or feel that it’s ugly or sinful or just not right. You don’t feel this way about a flower. You don’t feel this way about a pet. You probably don’t feel this way about your friends. So you must learn to love your body. Look at it with love. This can be done in front of a mirror, as an actual practice. You can touch your body with love. Perhaps there are places on your body that you’ve learned not to touch, and they are beautiful and sacred, too. Touch your whole body with love. Can you feel it coming to life?
You are a sacred healer as you transmit love, and you can heal your shame and your separateness from your self and your own body with love. Through bringing your love to your body, you release the blocks, and negative messages and once again let your light shine through your physical form. True beauty is of the light. It’s not about the composition of the form. The form is a medium for conducting light.
“Loving your Body, Sexuality, and Emotions,”
Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love, p. 32
Question: I am reading Mary Magdalene Beckons and I just finished the message “Loving your Body, Sexuality, and Emotions.” In that message, Mary talks about loving your body and touching your body with love. I want to know about those who actually struggle with this, who find such things to be physically uncomfortable. Many people have Aspergers and are sensitive to physical touch. I am a virgin and the mere thought of sexual intercourse or putting anything inside of me is enough to make me almost vomit. Is Mary saying I’m supposed to just keep trying?
Mary Magdalene: Hello dear one. I thank you for your question. This is an important clarification you are requesting and I will do my best to help you.
In the message you are referring to, I was talking about healing shame relative to one’s body. This is a pervasive problem for many people at this time. It’s actually a spiritual problem, though many people don’t recognize it as such, because carrying shame relative to one’s body is an obstacle to loving oneself. And loving oneself is essential for growing into the place where you live from your heart.
Loving oneself means that you see yourself as a beautiful being. In fact, you are a beautiful being. Everyone is, because everyone is a manifestation of God, in your own unique way. Just as every flower is beautiful, in it’s own unique way, so it is with all beings.
Yet many people don’t feel this way about themselves. They feel that there’s something wrong with them, and because of this they assume that they’re not worthy of love. They don’t love themselves and they assume that others won’t love them because of their “wrongness.” Often this takes the form of not liking certain of your physical characteristics. You may not like your a certain facial feature. Or you may not like your hair. You might think your body shape is wrong. Many people think they’re too fat, or sometimes too thin. Some people don’t like their waste, or their hips, or their butt, or their legs, or their arms, or their stomach, or their chest, or whatever. There are endless variations on what people can find to not like about themselves. This sense that “there’s something wrong with me and because of that I’m not loveable” is what I’m referring to as shame.
What I was saying in that message is that people need to heal their shame through coming to love themselves. Accepting one’s self is a big part of coming to love oneself. I was suggesting two possible ways that one could practice this form of self-love. One is by looking in a mirror and practicing seeing yourself as beautiful, seeing yourself with eyes of love, the way a mother sees a child. Another possible way I was suggesting was to touch yourself with love, to practice giving love to yourself, and also receiving love, by touching yourself in a loving way.
I also mentioned that many people have places on their body they don’t generally touch. Usually this is because you received messages, often at a young age, that you “shouldn’t” touch those parts of your body. This contributes to the sense that there’s something “wrong” with those parts of yourself and that if you want to be loved, you shouldn’t touch them. Most often, these are the parts of your body that are associated with sexuality: the genitals and, for women, their breasts. So touching these parts of yourself with love may be a new and very healing experience for many people—to heal the sense that those parts of themselves are bad, or wrong, or sinful, or anything else, and to heal their own disconnection from themselves.
It can also be healing to touch other parts of yourself with love that you have disconnected from, because you feel those parts are wrong or unlovable. For example, if you think you’re fat and that your belly is ugly, then touching your belly with love can be very healing. Doing this can help to bring you back to wholeness, rather than disassociating from a part of yourself that you judge as being wrong.
In all of this, I wasn’t suggesting that touching yourself with love meant to touch yourself in a sexual way. Often the word “love” is confused with the idea of being sexual. Loving touch does not need to be sexual. It can simply be touch that communicates love, without any sexual intention or engagement.
Even if you were to touch a part of your body that is generally associated with sexuality, such as your genitals, your touch doesn’t need to be sexual. It can still be a form of touch that simply communicates pure love, without any additional intention to engage in a sexual way.
It is very valuable for people to learn that loving touch doesn’t need to involve being sexual. Optimally all people should learn this as a child from those who love them, such as parents. I want to be very clear that I’m not talking about being sexual with children. I’m talking about touching them with love, whether it’s hugging them, holding them, massaging them, cuddling them, etc. Of course, boundaries should be maintained that protect children from unsupportive touch. But touch is a basic human need. It is a form of love, a very direct and primal one.
All people should receive and know this kind of loving touch, without any kind of sexual agenda or imposition. On that basis, when people are older they can begin to choose to be sexual, adding sexuality to this foundation of loving touch. Then the touch can be both loving and sexual. It is very sad that many people become sexual without having this foundation of loving touch. So they try to touch in sexual ways that aren’t already founded in loving touch. Then it becomes sex without love.
Part of loving touch is being sensitive to the needs and boundaries of the one you’re touching. This is why loving touch for children would not involve sexuality, because that isn’t supportive for children. But this doesn’t only apply to children. It applies to all people. To truly be loving, you must be sensitive to the other. Your love causes you to want what’s best for them to be what occurs. And to know what’s best for them requires sensitivity.
In your case, you say that you are particularly sensitive to touch and the idea of sexual intercourse or any kind of touch inside of your vagina would be uncomfortable for you. So in your case, loving touch would need to include your sensitivity and boundaries. Otherwise it wouldn’t be loving. Perhaps in your case, touch would not be a form of love at all. I would want you to first and foremost respect and honor yourself and your needs and boundaries. Everyone is different. While loving touch may work for many people to heal them of shame and ways they’ve disconnected from themselves, I did not intend that as a rule or a “should” that everyone must force themselves to engage. That would only be more of the program of un-love, through forcing yourself to do things that may not be supportive for you.
Loving oneself is the most important gift you can give yourself. It’s the foundation of your whole spiritual life. Everyone must learn for themselves what their own needs and boundaries are and then love yourself by honoring and respecting those. I’m glad that you are aware of your needs relative to touch and sexuality. I urge you to respect those and love those. They’re part of the beautiful being that you are. Then it becomes a creative process to integrate those needs, such as receiving the kind of touch that truly feels loving to you, into the greater picture of what you need for your growth and wholeness, such as healing any body shame.
I hope this has been helpful and clarifying. I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your particular needs, as well as your desire to grow in love. I wish you all the love in the universe, and I fully trust that you are on the path to find that.
With great love and blessings,
I AM Mary Magdalene

ISIS: Sleeping Beauty and the Secret of the Dark Feminine
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
[Note from Mercedes: The first part of this channeled message from Isis was given to me at a sacred site known as the Seat of Isis in France. As I sat upon the stone seat, the sound of birds singing became noticeably amplified and I was reminded of the birds in the forest scenes of the movie, “Sleeping Beauty.” At a certain point, I realized that Isis was communicating to me about this movie. Below is the message I received.]
Isis: In the story of “Sleeping Beauty,” the king and queen represent Mother-Father God. Aurora is the Divine Child in the Feminine form. That the king and queen were childless for so long relates to how long it took for the creation of your world and humans by Mother-Father God. It was a tremendous process. Finally they were able “to conceive,” or manifest, the Earth and humans. All of that manifestation is the Feminine child of God, because the Feminine is God in manifest or concrete form.
The wicked witch in the story is actually me, Isis. I came to warn the people that the Feminine would be killed in the future. The fairy godmothers were also me. I added my blessing so that rather than be killed, the Feminine would be put to sleep. The patriarchy turned me, Isis, into the wicked witch in the story.
The spinning wheel in the story is the wheel of life. The prick of the spindle represents the pain of life. It also represents the first sex of a virgin.
The attempt to banish spinning wheels in the story didn’t work. This is similar to the part in the Old Testament of the Bible, where the pharaoh tries to kill Moses by killing all the first-born boy children. Or Herod tries to kill Jesus by killing all the boy children up to the age of two. It never works. You can’t control destiny by effort and strategy.
Mercedes: Why did everyone fall asleep?
Isis: This was by agreement of everyone involved. It’s the higher way, like the story of the Danes in WWII. In this story, the Danish king and people protected the Jews in their country from the Nazis by electing to all wear the required armband that identified the Jews. The story isn’t factually true, but it’s a beautiful illustration of this principle, where the populace shares the plight of all its members.
Mercedes: Who was the prince?
Isis: The prince was Yeshua. Aurora was Mary Magdalene. The Feminine draws the Masculine to her through love. The Masculine awakens the Feminine.
You are all awakening from the spell of patriarchy, which has put the Feminine to sleep for a very long time. The wicked witch was really the patriarchy, the Masculine in fear of the Feminine, masquerading as a witch.
Mercedes: Where are you, Isis, after the awakening?
Isis: You must find out.
***************************************
[Note from Mercedes: The second part of this channeling occurred about a month later. I felt called to do a special channeling for Mary Magdalene’s Feast Day on July 22nd. As I opened to receive a message, Isis communicated that she’d like to clarify her communication about “Sleeping Beauty,” because she realized I didn’t fully understand it.]
Isis: You were surprised when I told you that I was the wicked witch in the story, weren’t you? I understand that, because you do not see me in that role. You see me as beautiful, and sacred, and magical, and powerful, is that right? But this is the challenge for many human beings at this time. This is part of duality, as you experience it in the third dimension. You see beauty one way, often as youth and a certain appearance of beauty that is pleasing to you visually. The witch in the story seems to be the opposite of that. She is old and dressed in black. Her facial features are unattractive and perhaps communicating her feelings of anger and jealousy. Her general appearance is one of starkness (as opposed to roundness and softness) and austerity (as opposed to fullness and abundance).
What people must understand is that the Feminine includes all of manifestation: youth and old age, budding fullness and declining emptiness. The Feminine is the entire cycle of birth-life-death-and rebirth. If you are to love the Feminine, you must learn to love all of the Feminine. This is the great lesson that humans have come to master in the third dimension.
You like youth, but not old age. You like ease, but not difficulty. You like pleasure, but not pain. You like beauty, but not ugliness. And so on. So by tendency, you want to embrace the parts you prefer and avoid the parts you don’t like. This avoidance adds fear to the dislike. You now become afraid of that which you are avoiding.
The people in the story of “Sleeping Beauty” are very afraid of the witch. She has power and they’re afraid of her power. Of course, the Feminine always has power. But the people are not recognizing her as the Feminine, truly as a part of themselves. Their fear gives her even more power. This is the story of the dark side, the dark Feminine. It is only dark because of your fear.
In the story, the witch is angry and jealous. These are two of the emotions that humans tend to be most afraid of. As Mary Magdalene has so beautifully explained on so many occasions, emotions are a central part of the Feminine, including all the painful emotions. Yet most people are afraid of painful emotions, so they try to exclude them. That’s what the people in the story were doing. They were excluding the witch, which ironically gave her even more power. This is what happens when you exclude something and don’t deal with it. You empower it.
So when the witch arrives she is filled with power. She is larger than life. This only adds to the people’s fear. Is this not what happens to your emotions that you exclude? When they finally come out, they are super-charged and larger than life. So your worst fears have come true. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The strategy of exclusion—trying to get rid of the parts of the Feminine that you don’t like—is a Masculine strategy. It never works. Yet many of you are deeply committed to doing this, at levels you are generally not even aware of. This has been deeply programmed into you as the only option you have. So naturally this is what you try to do.
The telling of the story of “Sleeping Beauty” is from the Masculine perspective. The evil witch, filled with anger and jealousy, was excluded from the party celebrating princess Aurora’s birth, because that was the only option available for everyone’s safety and wellbeing, according to the Masculine perspective. But it didn’t work.
From the Feminine perspective, the evil witch was simply the Goddess, not evil at all. She was the ageless elder, the being of wisdom, the beloved grandmother. She actually was not different from the three fairy godmothers, except that she had more power. From the Feminine perspective, the story would be interpreted very differently. She was the Goddess—who I, Isis, am also an incarnation of. She was coming to warn humanity of impending danger, that a time was coming when the Feminine would be killed, or at least that was the plan.
Emotions such as anger and jealousy always carry an important message that needs to be heeded and responded to. That is part of why the program of exclusion never works. When you are simply trying to get away from painful feelings, you don’t receive the gift they’re trying to convey. In this case, the gift was a warning about the future plan to kill the Feminine. On another level, it was a message to stop trying to exclude the parts of the Feminine that are uncomfortable or unpleasant. All must be included. All must be loved. All must be served.
Of course, if this inclusion and love had occurred, the witch wouldn’t have appeared in her “horrible” form, her dark form, draped in anger and jealousy. She would have come in her soft, goddess, vulnerable, receptive form of She Who Is Loved Amidst All. And the people would not have feared her or been repulsed by her. They would have loved her and been magnetized to her. They would have seen the beauty of her light and her soul, beyond the physical. This is the higher path you are being called to in the third dimension. This path will ultimately transcend this dimension and lead you to the higher dimensions, which are beyond the kind of dualistic appearance that characterizes your present reality.
In the story, the witch was included and her emotions were listened to, through her own doing. It took the power of her rage to make this occur, to overcome the resistance and fear of all those at “the party.” Truly, all of you are at “the party.” This party is an illusion. It is the fantasy of a world with only youth and beauty and the entire half of duality that you like and wish for. So the witch was waking up all the people at the party to their illusion. “Wake up beyond your clinging to what you love and pushing away what you fear. This is creating your real pain. Wake up to including the All, which means including and loving the Feminine in all her forms. I am the Feminine, too. I am old age and decrepit-ness, and darkness, and anger and jealousy, and raw power. You see me in nature and you are a part of nature. Wake up to loving it all.”
Once she was included, her helping, loving, soft side could come out. In the story, this was personified through the last fairy godmother giving her gift, which was that Aurora wouldn’t die but would simply fall asleep, until she was awakened by the kiss of a prince. This fairy godmother wasn’t a separate being. She, and all the fairy godmothers, were the personification of the transformed witch, the witch who was included and loved and served. They were soft and joyful and playful and loving. In the story they were characterized as separate from the witch, but this was a misinterpretation. They were simply a different side of the Feminine. The true Feminine includes all.
Your world is still afraid of the Feminine and still quite devoted to excluding her. Even your spiritual teachings often communicate that emotions such as anger and jealousy aren’t who you really are and tell you to leave them behind. This is a slightly more elevated form of excluding the Feminine, but it is still a form of non-love. It isn’t necessary or desirable to leave anything behind. Instead, love it. Listen to it. It wouldn’t be showing up if there wasn’t something you need to hear and heed. Don’t run away, even in the name of being spiritual or lofty. Open to it and receive the gift. It might feel painful to open to it, but that is the pain of penetrating a part of yourself that needs opening. That pain will help you and grow you to become the loving being you are destined to be. Avoiding that pain will only create more pain.
This is the hero’s journey. It is not to kill the Feminine. It is to love the Feminine. That means loving all the forms of the Feminine—her pain and dying as well as her joy and birthing and living.
You are at the point of awakening from the sleep of denying and avoiding the Feminine, trying to kill her. Are you ready to love her in all of her forms and greatness? This is not only your destiny. It is your liberation and freedom. It will lead you to the release you so desire. But it won’t be the release of escape that the Masculine keeps trying to orchestrate. It will be the release of the open heart in wholeness. It will be the release of the limits of duality, of the seeming necessity to cling to what you desire and avoid what you fear. It will be the release of duality itself into the wholeness of love. Is your soul ready for that? If that is what you desire, if that is what your soul longs for, if that is the music of your higher self calling to you, then you are ready to love the Feminine in all her forms. MARY MAGDALENE: Connecting With Your Guides
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 1, 2015
Question: How can I be brought into greater connection with my internal guidance and my guides?
Mary Magdalene: The most important connection and guidance for each person is your higher self. And everyone also has at least one angel, often more. If you haven’t yet connected with your higher self, you may find it somewhat easier to connect with an angel.
The simple path is to pray and ask for whatever you need to make the connection with your guides. Ask to be shown, in whatever way is right for you, which again is a very personal thing. You may experience your connection to your guidance—your higher self, your angels, or any other higher beings who are guiding you—in a very different way than other people do. That is important, too. You may already be being guided but simply not thinking that’s guidance. It is a process of asking. Ask not only to be shown your guides and your guidance, but also to be aware of what you are being shown, so that you receive it fully.
There are processes you can study that make it easier to connect with guidance. At the third dimension, because of the veils that exist here, it is typical to be disconnected from guidance. For many, it is part of their spiritual path to reconnect to their guidance. Some find their guidance naturally. Some have a natural experience, without any effort, of connecting with their guidance. But for many, it is a process that involves their spiritual path and spiritual growth.
As you move into the next level and dimension of reality, the fourth dimension, things are much lighter and it is much easier to be connected to your guidance. Most everyone has experiences of the fourth dimension even while in the third dimension. The most ordinary one is dreaming. Dreaming is a way that you can ask for help. You can ask to connect with guidance through your dreams. You can ask before you go to sleep that in your dreams you connect with guidance. That’s one avenue that can be strong.
People can also connect with the fourth dimension through meditation, prayer, chanting, or through physical things such as yoga. People connect with the fourth dimension through shamanic practices, shamanic journeying, hallucinogenic drugs, near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, and through remembering past lifetimes. In all of these states, it tends to be easier to connect with guidance. So an initial way for many to connect with guidance may be through these states, which are somewhat freed up from both the density and also the veils of third dimension, which tend to cause you to forget.
And you can study processes that allow you to access the fourth dimension regularly and which will support you, as well, in connecting with your guidance. Is that helpful?
Questioner: Yes.
What about music and dance? Historically people connected to the deeper parts of themselves through those forms and for some of us, that is the way we listen, feel, and know.
Mary Magdalene: Yes, that can most definitely be an avenue. It won’t necessarily be so for all. But for some it most definitely can be, particularly when engaged in a sacred context.
This is true of any art form. When people are engaging in an art form that they intend to share with others, they are oftentimes receiving guidance that’s directing them in that art form. So that can be a vehicle of guidance, as well.

MARY MAGDALENE: Determining Your Life Purpose
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 1, 2015
Question: How does one determine their life purpose?
Mary Magdalene: For most people, the strongest indication is your passion. Your passion tells you who you are, your fundamental identity at your soul level. It is very sad that many are confused about passion and think of passion as something that is to be denied, when in fact, it’s showing you the path.
Many people also have the idea that soul purpose should occur a certain way, perhaps the way you’ve seen others who you identify as being on their soul path or having their soul purpose. You then compare yourself to those and think that yours should be similar, or else you don’t have a soul purpose. But soul purpose can take many, many forms. And it is not necessarily at all connected to what is considered valuable, or necessary, or successful in the conventional world.
Soul purpose is about your personal expression, which adds to the completeness of the whole. It is your contribution. By engaging your soul purpose, you also are engaging your soul path of growth. It will inevitably be very personal, unique, and individual for each person. It can also change during the course of your lifetime. You can fulfill a soul purpose and move on to another soul purpose.
It is your passion that will tell you more than anything what your soul purpose is. When you are truly doing your soul purpose, you are drawn to do that thing. You have energy for it; you want to do it; you do it even when you should be doing other things. Those are signs of soul purpose.
And engaging your soul purpose brings you joy. It lights up your being. You know you are doing your soul purpose when you feel so alive, so connected to God and all of God’s creation. Then you are doing your soul purpose.
Questioner: Thank you.
Mary Magdalene: You are welcome.

What I Received in France
By Mercedes Kirkel
I’ve just returned from my travels in the Languedoc and Provence regions of southern France, visiting many sites that are associated with Mary Magdalene. Though I’m still integrating all that happened, I feel strongly moved to share about my experiences because so many of you have communicated your support, blessings, and connection with me throughout my journey. I’m very grateful for feeling you “with me” on my pilgrimage and now I want to pass on the fruits of what I received.
As soon as we (myself and my three traveling companions) arrived in the Languedoc, I was struck by the beauty of the countryside, with its peaceful rivers, low mountains at the beginning of the Pyrenees, and tiny medieval villages sprinkled throughout. We stopped at an old church with stained glass windows that depicted Mary Magdalene and I felt I was stepping into another world that resonated deeply with my soul.
I received a message the next day from Mary Magdalene. We were searching for a spring that was the source of one of the rivers, because we’d been told that many people felt a connection to Isis there. We weren’t having success finding the path and decided to stop and all check in with our guidance. My message was: “It’s foolish to limit Spirit to any particular site.” What that meant to me was that we didn’t have to “work” to find Spirit. If we were meant to receive something from Spirit, we would be guided to it. And indeed, that happened many times.
The message also had a deeper meaning for me. I had started to wonder why it was necessary for me to come to France, when I already felt so connected to Mary wherever I was. I heard her saying in this brief message that it wasn’t necessary in terms of me connecting with her. I found that somewhat disconcerting, wondering if I had made the trip unnecessarily. In fact, I was so perplexed by this question that I asked Mary about it directly midway through the trip. In her highly skillful way, Mary helped me to see that I already understood a lot of the reasons I was drawn to France and the gifts I was receiving through being there. These included a great healing I was experiencing in my physical body and an opening to greater expression of my Femininity. (You can read Mary’s full response in the previous blog post, “Why I Was Drawn to France.”) And there was to be more.
I felt a peacefulness and beauty in the region that fed me on such a deep level. I was able to eat foods I normally react to in the U.S.—bread, cheese, yogurt, wine, decaf coffee—and I enjoyed them thoroughly. I loved all the stone and stucco buildings and the more natural, Earth-connected lifestyle. Yet there was another side that was very disturbing to me, which was the violence of so much of the history. I was connecting with souls that seemed to be “stuck” from violent deaths, along with feeling the disturbance of the Earth in certain places. Others I was traveling with experienced similar things in their own ways. We all brought our own form of blessing and healing to the land and beings we encountered.
In general, I didn’t find the churches had much spiritual potency for me, including the ones that had a reputation of being connected with Mary Magdalene. I mostly felt sad about the history of Christianity in terms of what had been changed, hidden, and lost in Yeshua’s and Mary Magdalene’s teaching, as well as the harm that had been done to so many in the name of religion. However, there were several exceptions. In the church at Rennes le Chateau, I felt Mary Magdalene’s presence very strongly the first time I was there, though I didn’t feel it the second time. I believe this had more to do with the Temple of Isis that the church was built upon, which I believe Mary and Yeshua visited.
In the church at Sainte Baume, which claims to be the cave where Mary spent the last thirty years of her life, I didn’t feel her presence at all, except for a statue behind the altar that depicted a very full, sensual Mary Magdalene in a reclining position. This area was dedicated to penitence, which seemed ironic to me because the depiction of Mary in the statue didn’t seem the least bit penitent. Here I picked up a small feeling of Mary that felt humorous, as though she were saying, “OK—whatever! If this is the way people choose to relate to me, it doesn’t really matter. I’m still willing to be in relationship with them.”
The other church in which I felt a connection to Mary Magdalene was the church at Sainte Maries de la Mer. This church claims to be the place where a boat carrying Mary Jacobe and Mary Salome, along with other followers of Yeshua, landed in France after the crucifixion. There’s a famous statue of a dark-skinned Saint Sara in the church, with varying stories of who she was. Again, the church felt empty of spiritual energy to me until one of my traveling companions pointed out a picture that’s fairly hard to see, being very high up in a floor-to-ceiling display case of many pictures and partially hidden by the wood framing in the glass doors of the case. It’s a painting of a dark-skinned woman who my friend said looked very much like a vision of Mary Magdalene he was given in a cave in the region several years before. I felt Mary’s energy very strongly in the painting, and then saw two other paintings on the opposite wall that also seemed to depict Mary, even though none of the paintings were described in the church materials. In fact, there’s no reference to Mary Magdalene at all in the church. But after seeing those three pictures, I felt her presence in a subtle, hidden form. It also suggested to me that Saint Sara is indeed Mary Magdalene’s and Yeshua’s daughter, but the church doesn’t want to communicate that openly. I saw great sadness in the statue of Saint Sara, which I associated with sadness about all that’s not being revealed openly through that particular church and Christianity in general.
Yet there were other, natural sites that were extremely potent for me. I felt Isis very strongly at the stone Seat of Isis and received a powerful message from her there. The Fountain of Lovers carried a transmission of love that reminded me of Mary and Yeshua’s love-energy. I became completely ecstatic at a water site where some believe Mary performed baptisms. And I experienced profound energy at a small, undeveloped cave associated with Mary Magdalene.
On the last day of the trip, I realized I’d been given something else I totally hadn’t anticipated, which had to do with my traveling companions. I saw that the way we had interacted consistently throughout the trip had been a model of spiritual companionship, cooperation, and support. That’s not to say that everything went smoothly and easily 100% of the time—we definitely had our moments. Yet even in those times, we embraced what was arising and let it open us to a place of greater heart-connection with ourselves and each other. By the end of the trip I felt like I’d been given a taste of what it’s like to live the principles of Mary’s teaching with others, and I didn’t want to stop. My guidance on that last day was to create a structure for continuing this with others on an ongoing basis. I’m not exactly sure the form that will take, but I’ll keep you posted.
I definitely fell in love with this unique part of France and look forward to returning, hopefully with others who want to share in the treasures of this region.

Why I Was Drawn to France
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On June 16, 2015
[Note from Mercedes: This is a personal message that Mary gave to me while I was traveling in the south of France. I’m sharing it because so many people have communicated that they find Mary’s personal messages to me also speak to them and are quite valuable.]
Mercedes: Mary, why was I drawn here to France? What did I need to come here for?
Mary: This is a very good question. Ultimately it is not necessary to go anywhere for spiritual purposes. Spirit is not limited to any particular location.
Yet there is no question that you are affected by various environments. Different places on the Earth have very different feelings and energy. You are aware of this. So it is the energy of the Earth in France that you are drawn to, not to find me in France.
What do you feel here?
Mercedes: I feel happy. At the site at the river where it is said you did baptisms, I felt ecstatic, overjoyed.
I love the land. It feels like home. The weather feels good to me. The people seem beautiful and authentic. The women are more Feminine here and also strong. Everything seems natural and “right” here. My heart is peaceful.
Mary: This is a sign of soul connection to the land, as well as being fed spiritually by the land in this location.
Mercedes: I also feel a natural balance of Feminine and Masculine. I like the way it feels less materialistic than what I’m used to, more Earth-based, less consumer- and possession-oriented.
Mary: Yes.
So why do you think you were drawn here? What has happened for you since you’ve been here?
Mercedes: My body is straightening out. I’ve found the source of the twists in my body that’s manifesting as my scoliosis. It feels like it’s sourcing out of the base of my pelvis on the left. It’s like my Feminine hasn’t been willing to fully descend into manifesting on Earth, especially bodily and sexually. So my Masculine is dropped in my pelvis and my whole right side of my body. The Masculine is collapsing because the Feminine isn’t forming the foundation, isn’t willing to fully be here.
My Masculine is collapsing at the pelvis (sexuality), in my shoulder (responsibility), and dropping forward at the shoulder (moving into the world in a collapsed way). My Feminine is lifted at the shoulder (moving forward in the world with tentativeness and tension, not fully willing or available, not easeful but rather apprehensive and cautious). My Masculine is coming forward in the pelvis (sexuality), but my weight is all on the Feminine, not shared with the Masculine.
I’m learning about myself through my body and I’m willing to change who I am and what I manifest. It has all showed up here in France. It’s like I’m able to see myself clearly and simply here.
I bought a Feminine dress at the market that everyone thinks is quite beautiful and that feels connected to Isis. It feels easier for me to be Feminine here.
I feel much more accepted here as a channel of you, Mary.
I think it’s easier to be myself here and I fit in better. I can see me offering my work here and I have more clarity about what my work is.
I feel like I’ve come home. I know these places, especially at Rennes les Bain and the church at Rennes le Chateau. I feel you there. It’s not in all the mystery and church artifacts. It’s in you, your presence, or maybe the temple of Isis that used to be there.
My heart is here and connected to the Earth here.
Mary: It sounds like you are very clear.
Mercedes: Yes, I think I am.
Mary: Your work is to anchor the Feminine within yourself. If that is supported here, then that is important. For you, the history of these places is a distraction. The direct work in your body and energy field is what is guiding you and all that you need.
For many people, connection to the past can help them to bring in more of who they are, more of the wholeness of their soul. History can be helpful for those reasons. It is like going into the Akashic Records, to understand who one is and what one’s soul path and work is.
That aspect of connecting to history can be valuable. Not everyone needs it, but for some it is supportive. However, often people get distracted by history, by focusing on the ideas and “facts” of what happened, when, by whom, and so on. That can clutter the mind and obstruct the work of the soul. In general, it is not necessary. But many people use history in that way, as an avoidance of the heart and the path of the heart by staying in the mind.
Allow the gifts of this place to unfold. Don’t fall into doubt. You are on course.

MARY MAGDALENE: Healing Shame Around Addictions and Sexuality
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 22, 2015
[Note from Mercedes: This is an excerpt from a channeled reading with a client, who graciously agreed to share this portion because of the universal nature and profundity of Mary’s responses.]
Question: My question has to do with releasing shame. All my life I’ve felt like I’m not good enough, or I’m bad, or something’s wrong with me. I’m currently going through therapy for a substance-abuse problem and healing that. I think a big part of that healing is releasing my shame. Any guidance you can give me on that would be helpful.
Mary Magdalene: This is very wonderful that you have identified the connection between shame and using substances. You’re getting to a very deep level and that is where the healing can occur. I acknowledge you for your awareness of the connection between these and your openness to healing the shame that you carry.
Are there particular arenas in your life that you feel or experience shame?
Questioner: A big one is that I even have this substance-abuse problem. I feel so shameful about it, like I’m wrong and bad. It’s a substance abuse to prescription medications that got out of hand and now I’m working on it. I feel so much shame that I’ve spent the last ten years of my life with this substance-abuse problem.
Mary Magdalene: What were these medications originally prescribed for?
Questioner: It was for attention deficit disorder. I’m really sensitive and it helped me to kind of shut off my feelings so I could focus and do work. Sometimes I think I’m not cut out for this world: I’m too sensitive, too emotional. I can’t be like that if I need to work and do the practical things of life. So that’s what it was prescribed for. But I’m at a point now where I don’t want to take the medication any more. I want to love and respect my body.
Mary Magdalene: So is it simply that you’re wanting to get off the medication that’s been prescribed? Or have you taken the medication in ways that it wasn’t prescribed.
Questioner: Both. I’ve taken it in ways that weren’t prescribed and I’m working with a therapist to get off of it. It’s only in the past two months that I’ve been able to acknowledge this and been honest about it. So I’d like any guidance about getting off of it, but also help with this shame I feel around it.
There’s another shame, too, that started when I was really young. This was the first shame, which I’m just starting to realize. When I was really young, like still in diapers, I masturbated. Growing up in a Catholic household, I knew that it was so shameful. And I still feel so much shame around that now. I was so young; I don’t know why I did it.
Mary Magdalene: Thank you for speaking this. When one has shame, even speaking it is difficult because there is so much fear about being ostracized, being abandoned if you show people the part of yourself that you feel shame for. So speaking about it is the beginning of healing. It shows that, first, you’ve become aware and honest with yourself that this is what’s going on, that you have these areas that you have shame about. Then you begin to find people who you can trust, who it’s safe to share this with and open up this part of yourself to them. That, in and of itself, is a great step of healing.
You need to have discernment in speaking to others about this. It is important to only open yourself up with people who you discern that are safe. There are people who it may not be safe to open up to, people who may not understand or hold these events in the same way you do. It is not necessary or even wise for you to open up to those people. You can be in choice about who the people are who are safe for you to open up to, the people who will be supportive for you to open up to, who actually will help you in the ways that you are wanting help. So be very aware of your choice and start to empower yourself to be in choice rather than being at the effect of random responses from random individuals.
How does that part feel to you?
Questioner: That feels good. That gives me a lot of security and guidance.
Mary Magdalene: Yes. This is the beginning of reclaiming your own personal power. When there’s shame, you have given away a part of your power to someone or some entity that you probably trusted. Now, at the stage of life you’re currently in, you may realize that they weren’t entirely trustable or they weren’t entirely for your highest good. They gave you messages that what you were doing was bad, wrong, sinful, evil, or that somehow you, yourself, were bad, wrong, sinful, evil, or deficient, not right, not good enough because you were engaging certain behaviors.
This is a very sad state of affairs. It is a very third-dimensional issue because in the third-dimensional consciousness there is a very strong belief in these dualities of good-bad, right-wrong, evil-godly, those kinds of things. At the higher dimensions, we see things very differently. We see those kinds of dualities as quite destructive, quite harmful to people’s spiritual growth and their spiritual path.
Part of the spiritual process at the third dimension is realizing that many people have been programmed with this kind of thinking that certain things are good and certain things are bad; certain things are godly and certain things are ungodly; that kind of thing. Those beliefs are not a given. It is a choice to hold such beliefs.
I would like to suggest a very different possibility, which from my point of view is part of the transcendence of the third dimension and moving into a higher-dimensional consciousness. That possibility is to see that there is no such thing as good-bad. There is no such thing as right-wrong. All there are is experiences that are either supporting you or not supporting you in your divine growth and unfoldment.
When you were very young and you were touching yourself or experiencing your sexual energy through forms of touch and self-pleasuring in whatever way you did, this certainly was not bad or wrong in any way at all, from my point of view. I see it as a completely natural thing to do because you were becoming aware of your physical body and your energy—including your sexual energy, which is connected to your physical body. You were exploring that. To me that is as healthy as learning how to walk, where you’re exploring your physical body and its possibilities for mobility. No one said you were bad or wrong or evil for exploring movement and walking. I certainly don’t see you as any more bad, wrong, or evil for learning about and exploring your sexual energy and your physical sexuality.
I see it as most unfortunate that institutions, such as the Catholic church, have promoted this belief that you are bad, wrong, sinful, or whatever else for doing what I consider to be not only a very natural thing but a healthy thing. Sexuality is part of who we are. It’s no more evil than your appetite for food. People don’t call being hungry and having a meal evil. Hunger is simply an energy you have in your body that’s connected to physical systems that are natural to your body. The same is true of sexuality.
However, sexuality has the potential for connecting you with God in a very profound way, a way that for most people is much more profound than most of your other bodily functions. In fact, this is why religious institutions have tried to convince people that sexuality is bad, wrong, or whatever. If you did not have that belief, if you believed or understood that your sexuality is natural, healthy, important, and a vital part of your life of connection to God, you would be a naturally empowered person—empowered to transcend the limitations of the third dimension and third-dimensional thinking. Those institutions have not wanted people to become empowered in that way, because they benefited from people’s separation from their own power, people’s obedience to them and placing them in a position of power.
This is all part of the third-dimensional legacy. It’s all part of what beings are learning about and learning to transcend and grow beyond in their experience in coming to Earth. Not only is it part of your spiritual path to explore your sexuality, but it is part of your spiritual path to go beyond the limitations of the thinking that says your sexuality is shameful or sinful in any way, to go beyond being limited by this kind of belief structure.
So from my point of view, in many ways you are right on course. You’re having your experience of having been limited by having taken on these belief systems, which was probably a very natural, understandable thing to do because you encountered them as a child. Very likely, the ones who you were trusting to discern for you which beliefs were supportive for you to take on believed this. So you took it on because they believed it.
But now you are an adult. You are growing and maturing spiritually. This is your time to become aware and conscious of what you choose to believe, what you choose to follow, what ideas you choose to empower as things that seem true, in the sense that they are consistent with your own experience and your own guidance.
I am guessing from what you’ve said that you no longer ascribe to the beliefs that sexuality or even masturbation is inherently wrong or bad or sinful, and yet you are struggling with earlier programming. Is that right?
Questioner: Correct.
Mary Magdalene: Even this kind of conversation can be immensely helpful in understanding that that is just one option amongst many, many options. From my point of view, you were probably a sensitive child. Your awareness of energy was probably very high. So you were naturally aware of your sexual energy at a young age, possibly younger than many other people. And you were empowering yourself to explore this. These are all very wonderful things, from my point of view. There is certainly no harm, that I am aware of, that can come to a child from exploring their sexuality, masturbating, and having orgasms. But because of their programming, other individuals—very likely including your family members—may have been uncomfortable with this. It may have been in conflict with their beliefs, or the level of shame that they carried, or their comfort around sexuality altogether, because of the programming they received and ascribed to.
In fact, the problem was probably much more on the part of those who told you that you were wrong. Maybe they didn’t even tell you that. Maybe they just were experiencing that within themselves. And because you are a very sensitive being, you picked up on their discomfort, their conflict, and their beliefs. And you took that on.
Does that seem accurate?
Questioner: That’s exactly how it seems.
Mary Magdalene: So the first part is to realize that these were really their issues, their difficulty, their challenges that you took on, not your own. You were simply being your own natural, sensitive self.
What’s important is to realize that the decision of yours to take on their issues as your own issues was your choice. Of course you were very young and it is natural to do things like that when you are young. But nevertheless it was a choice.
Now you have the choice to no longer continue to take on those beliefs or those conflicts that others are carrying. Can you sense this in yourself?
Questioner: Yes, absolutely.
Mary Magdalene: Again, it does not mean that you need to go telling everyone you meet that you feel differently or that you have a different point of view. That may not be supportive. You are in choice about who you share this with. But you can certainly do this for yourself in relationship to these arenas. You can do this relative to sexuality. And you can also do this relative to your use of the medicine that you were taking.
I have been shown very strongly that whenever a being makes a choice, there are always very wonderful, or you could say beautiful, reasons for that choice. Those reasons are what I have called your “inner divine qualities.” When you made the choice to first take the medicine, and then later to take it more than was being prescribed, you had very important reasons why you made that choice. It doesn’t mean that the outcome of that choice—the outcome of the behaviors that you chose to engage—are ones that you are pleased about. It could be that you look at the outcome of those behaviors and you regret that choice. You regret that you chose to act upon your motivations in that particular way. But regret and shame are very different things.
Regret is part of the human experience. Humans makes choices. In retrospect, some of the choices you are happy about and some of the choices you are not happy about. Both serve your growth. So it is fine to make choices that you are not happy about. That is part of the growth process.
When you realize you’ve made choices you’re not happy about, most humans experience regret. But if you have been given the program that whenever you feel regret it means you’re a bad person, then very likely that regret will turn into shame. Shame is saying “there’s something defective about me because I made this choice, or I took this action.” That is based on a combination of regret and judgment. You’re making judgments about yourself, such as: “I should have known better.” “I should have been stronger.” “I shouldn’t have been vulnerable to this kind of artificial support.”
Are you making those kinds of judgments about yourself?
Questioner: Yes.
Mary Magdalene: Are there other judgments that you’re making, too?
Questioner: It tends to be the same things: “I shouldn’t have done that.” “I should be stronger.” “I shouldn’t be so emotional.” …
Mary Magdalene: “I should know better.” “I should be more stable.” “I should be more like other people who don’t have these problems.”
Those kinds of things?
Questioner: Absolutely.
Mary Magdalene: Yes. “There’s something the matter with me that I can’t do it right.”
Questioner: Exactly.
Mary Magdalene: When you set all those judgments aside, are you able to feel something different in terms of an emotion, other than shame, relative to your taking this medicine?
Questioner: Yes.
Mary Magdalene: What is it that comes up?
Questioner: More compassion.
Mary Magdalene: And perhaps regret or sadness for the situation that you’re in?
Questioner: Yes, sadness and regret. But especially when you were talking about the inner divine qualities, then I feel compassion.
Mary Magdalene: Yes. There are two things. You have sadness that engaging with these medicines hasn’t supported you in the way that you were hoping. Is that true?
Questioner: Correct.
Mary Magdalene: And it has had some negative ramifications. Is that right?
Questioner: Yes.
Mary Magdalene: Yes.
What I would like to look at are the inner divine qualities that you were hoping to fulfill by taking this medicine, and even taking more than was prescribed. What were you hoping to accomplish by that, consciously or unconsciously?
Questioner: Power over myself—being powerful. Also being productive, getting stuff done. Being able to connect with people. I think I also used the medicine to mask some depression, as well. So I wanted to be joyful and happy to connect with people, and give that joy and happiness to people.
Mary Magdalene: Beautiful! This is the important thing that will help you the most with shame. It is to realize there were very valid, important, and even beautiful reasons why you were making these choices. You wanted to have power over yourself. You wanted to be productive and functional. You wanted to connect with others. You wanted joy in your life. These are wonderful, important things that everyone needs in their life. You were choosing this modality of trying to accomplish these things. Perhaps it didn’t work the way that you were hoping. But that doesn’t mean that you are a bad person. It simply means you made a choice that didn’t work out the way that you were hoping.
Now what you can do is take steps to make a different choice. Take steps to get off of the substance, if that’s what you choose to do, or whatever seems like the wisest choice now to accomplish these same things. Because it’s still important that you have all of these things: that you feel empowered, that you are functional and productive, that you connect with others, and that you have joy in your life. You still need all of those things. You can simply shift from this self-judgment and paralyzing position of “I’m bad,” to “I tried something. It didn’t work the way I had hoped. Now I’m going to look at what else I can do to fulfill these important inner divine qualities.”
How does that land with you?
Questioner: That’s very helpful and feels very healing.
Mary Magdalene: Wonderful.
Hopefully you are finding people who can support you in finding practical steps you can take to fulfill these inner divine qualities, which will support you in better ways than the ways you were trying through the medicine.
I highly recommend that you also change your languaging. Rather than saying, “I have a substance-abuse problem,”—because you’re labeling yourself as one who’s involved in abuse—say, “I have a problem with my use of this medication. It’s not supporting me. I want to change that.” Simply state what is without any judgment.
Can you feel the difference?
Questioner: Absolutely. Yes. (laughing) Thank you, that feels so much better.
Mary Magdalene: (laughing) Wonderful.
Questioner: I have another question about depression. I have a big fear of depression. I anticipate having depression as a result of the chemical changes I’m going to have in my body through going off this medication. I think I started to use the medication to mask some depression. It’s really the fatigue and lack of motivation that I don’t like.
Mary Magdalene: Yes. So that is wonderful because now you’re getting to the root of the issues that motivated you originally to use the medication. And again, you can look at other options.
It may be that you need medication to help you with depression, but you can look at using medication as one option. You can look at which medications would be most helpful, if you choose to engage medication. Find someone who can help you with your full spectrum of concerns. You may want to work with someone more naturally oriented, who is open to the use of medications as one option, and who can help you sort through all the various possibilities, as well as your concerns. Then they can help you to come up with a holistic program that will be tailored to you and will hopefully help you the best. They can also help you to monitor the program and how it’s working for you. Then, if you start with a medication and find out it’s not working the way you hoped, or it has consequences you didn’t realize beforehand, you can make choices about what steps to take.
You can also start to look at natural options for handling depression. There may be things in your diet that could change the actual biochemistry in your body. There could be things like exercise. There could be certain social engagements or a support group of some sort or other, working with a therapist or a coach. There may be all kinds of things.
So I suggest that you get a support person who you like where they’re coming from, who you trust, and who you feel has the understanding of the full picture, so they can help you to access all the different kinds of resources you may need.
Questioner: Thank you. That’s very helpful.
Mary Magdalene: Wonderful.
