MARY MAGDALENE: Healing From Abuse
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On May 14, 2014
Hello dear ones. I come again to speak to you further about the process of creating your reality. I have given a number of communications about this recently, and I have been pleased with the responses many of you have made, demonstrating a depth of understanding of this topic—which is not an easy one to comprehend and accept in the third dimension. Yet I’m also aware that some of you still have confusion about this area. So I will once more try to clarify this topic.
I have said this before, but I feel it’s important to restate this: The idea that you create your reality is not intended as a form of blame. It is not a way of judging you, negatively or positively, for having painful or pleasurable experiences. It is not a subtle form of saying “It’s your fault that you’re experiencing this” or “If you don’t like this, stop complaining and create something different.” All of these positions are very limited ways of approaching this concept, which are not based in true understanding and are definitely not based in love and compassion. These types of responses, to others or toward yourself, are evidence of pain within the one making the response. The person who is reacting in this way is using the idea that everyone creates their reality as a way of avoiding the pain they’re experiencing in response to a particular circumstance. Perhaps they don’t know how to deal with the pain that circumstance evokes for them, so they are using this concept as a way of releasing the pressure of their pain. It is a form of anger, which is often used for pressure release. And like anger, it generally causes more pain for the person receiving the anger, as well as the person expressing the anger.
I have gone to great lengths to explain a different way to respond to pain. This is especially recorded in my messages in the book Mary Magdalene Beckons. I will once again explain a different way to respond to pain. You must first understand that when you blame, or judge, or accuse another of doing something wrong, you are taking your pain and projecting it outward, in an attempt to rid yourself of your own painful feelings. Even when you blame yourself you are doing this. You have simply made yourself into an outward “other.” I do not recommend doing this, both because it creates more pain for everyone involved and because it doesn’t make use of the pain in the way that is productive and actually essential. Pain always has a gift for you. If you direct your pain outward, you miss the opportunity to receive the gift.
Instead of projecting your pain outward to others, I recommend taking it inward to yourself. In this circumstance let’s use the example of an adult who was abused as a child. Blaming those who performed the abuse would be directing your pain outward. I suggest that this is a kind of self-poisoning, as well as a poisoning of others. I don’t recommend this, but instead recommend another path. This is not to say that you are approving of the actions of those who engaged in the abuse, or even accepting those actions. You are not doing anything in relation to the actions of others—neither condemning, approving, or even accepting. You are not focusing on them at all.
Similarly, you are not condemning yourself. You are not using the idea that you created your reality to blame yourself for what occurred. This, too, is a kind of self-poisoning that will hurt you and keep you stuck, while depriving you of access to your actual help. Even though it may be true that you created this experience at some level, often in choices that were made in your pre-birth state of selecting your life circumstances, using this concept to condemn yourself is not beneficial. It is a way of staying in your mind, which is a form of self-protection—one which ultimately harms rather than protects. So I do not recommend punishing yourself with this concept. It will not help you.
Instead, I recommend going into your heart and doing the healing work you require there. In truth, this is the real circumstance that you have created. You have given yourself this opportunity for healing so that you can grow, not only in terms of the particular circumstance you are healing but ultimately in terms of deeper and greater parts of yourself that you most often are not even consciously aware of. The outer circumstance was simply the means to guide you to this healing, to open you to it, to make it real for you.
This of course is not easy work. It is profound work, often requiring great dedication, effort, courage, and time. And this is what you came into this life to do. You did not come here to simply have a good time and coast along at the superficial levels of experience. There is nothing wrong with having a good time and it certainly has its place in the bigger picture of all your experience. It feeds you and motivates you, and is part of what guides you to continue on your soul path. But it is not the whole picture, nor is it the purpose of your life. Your life is a vehicle for your soul’s growth, which you chose to further you in your progression toward reunion with God. The things that tend to grow you the most in the third dimension are your challenges and your painful experiences. So it is important and valuable to know how to respond to pain in ways that are most supportive of that soul growth. These ways also allow the most easeful transition through and beyond the pain. That, too, is a sign you can use to know that you are on the right path. When you are following your heart’s course, your pain will diminish and eventually resolve into peace, wisdom, and greater heart-openness. All of this can be understood as signs validating that you are on the correct path.
To return to the example I was using earlier of an adult who was abused as a child, I will now suggest what the steps might look like of going into your heart, as opposed to staying in your head and judging or blaming others or yourself. The first step of going into your heart is to acknowledge that you’re in pain. This is done through allowing yourself to truly feel the pain. Many people are afraid to do this because they fear that this will intensify their suffering and perhaps open them to the possibility of getting stuck forever in their pain. In fact, the reverse is true. If you stay in your head, judging and blaming others, you are prolonging and fixing the pain. Feeling the pain is the beginning of the process that allows the pain to complete and resolve. And it does not intensify the pain.
When you are in your head, you are already experiencing the pain. You simply are trying to cover it over and suppress it. But it does not go away when you do this. It simply submerges and continues to affect you at the subconscious level. It will affect you emotionally and physically. You will become hard, or cynical, or closed off. And you will likely become sick. So it is still operating at full intensity, only in other arenas that are more hidden from your conscious mind. You may think that you have gained some power and control through going to your mind and judging, but that is an illusion. You are simply hurting yourself and others.
Your real power is in your heart. And it begins with opening to your pain through feeling. This takes spiritual strength to do. Open yourself in your feeling to experience the pain. This may bring up intense feelings of hurt and sorrow. There may be great grief that you need to release. This is a natural process and is important, just the way that a child cries when he or she is hurt. You may not have allowed yourself to grieve at the time of the abuse, often because you were too shocked or in fear. Many people leave their bodies at the time of abuse in order to survive it. So this is a kind of returning fully to your body, especially your emotional and physical self. And it will likely produce deep mourning.
It may take time to fully experience this grieving, especially if the abuse happened over time. You have innate wisdom within yourself as to how much you can experience at any given time without overwhelming you. You may experience a portion of your grief and then have a period of time of integrating that before you’re ready to experience more. Thus, this process will take however much time it requires to complete itself. It can be helpful and supportive to have a loving, wise guide to help you though this grieving process. That may be a counselor, coach, spiritual leader or guide, friend, or whoever you trust to help you with this. Do not let them take you back into your mind by focusing on the other(s) or analyzing what occurred, and resist your own tendencies to do so. Instead stay in the pure feeling of experiencing your pain, just as a child does who is crying after experiencing a hurt.
Eventually, your pain will reside to the point that you can bring in your mind for a different function. You will use your mind to take you deeper within yourself to the source of your pain. This is the great difference in this process. It is based in the understanding that the source of your pain is not in your outer circumstances of whatever occurred. The deep source of your pain is within yourself.
Within everyone are pure divine qualities, which I have called your inner divine qualities. These are beautiful aspects of your inner divinity, which are part of every human—something like your spiritual DNA. Whenever you are in pain, it is a signal that one or more of your inner divine qualities are needing help. Pain tells you that you are not presently experiencing one or more of your inner divine qualites as fulfilled. They need your attention to return them to their fulfilled state. In their fulfilled state, you are connected to God in that aspect. So another way of saying this is that you have become disconnected from God in this particular aspect.
You can use your mind to find the quality or qualities that are at the source of your pain. In the case of abuse, the qualities are often some combination of physical and emotional safety, respect for the sanctity of your body, dignity, and trust of others. In the circumstance of abuse, these inner divine qualities (or other related ones) were not fulfilled. Your deep healing involves these particular qualities within yourself.
Thus, the first step is to identify the inner divine qualities that were not fulfilled for you in the incidents of abuse. Only you will know which qualities are the ones that were involved for you. Others may guess, but they won’t know for sure. Only you will know for sure which ones were affected. Others may have been in similar circumstances, yet the inner divine qualities for them that were affected might be different. Even you may have been in similar circumstances at other times in your life, and those times may have involved different inner divine qualities than the present circumstance. You do not need to compare yourself to others or to your own experiences at at other times. Let yourself be present now, for what is true for you at this time.
You will know when you identify the real inner divine qualities that are involved because you will feel a clear energetic connection to those qualities. They will feel alive and you will feel a sense of aliveness in connecting with them. They have energy for you, like a live wire that is waiting to be reconnected to its intended circuit.
Once you have identified the inner divine qualities that are alive for you in this circumstance, then you are ready to do the next step. This involves a shift within your awareness. You are going to shift from the feeling of deficit in these qualities, which was caused by the external event, into remembering and connecting with your inner experience of these qualities in their wholeness. Begin with the one or two qualities that seem most important in this situation, the ones that have the most energy for you. Then go inside and give yourself the experience of what it’s like for you when these qualities are fulfilled. You might experience this viscerally, visually, auditorially, through memories arising, or emotionally. Let yourself rest in the experience until it is full and strong for you, such that you have shifted into a sense of being in the fulfilled state.
This is something like repairing a circuit breaker within yourself. You are flipping the switch back to the “on” position of this circuit being fully reconnected. You are truly reconnecting with God, because you got disconnected through the trauma. You will recognize this reconnection because you will experience peace and a sense of openness.
At this point, in the case of abuse, you will likely need a period of reintegration of this fulfilled state within yourself. Again, this may require time to become stable. This is the real healing work. Give yourself as much time as you need, which might be days or months. You will know when this stage is complete because your energy for action will return. It is like an animal coming out of hibernation or a butterfly emerging from the cocoon.
When your healing is complete at the inner level, you are now ready to make any changes you choose at the outer level. Perhaps you will want to take certain steps towards others involved in the abuse. This is where outer healing can occur. Perhaps there are steps of forgiveness you wish to engage, either directly with those involved or energetically without direct contact. Perhaps there are steps you wish to take of creating boundaries that support you. Perhaps there are new directions you wish to take in your life or things you no longer want to continue doing. Often there are new insights and understandings that have emerged, which you are now ready to integrate into yourself and your future choices. All of this will be done from the energy of wholeness and self-love you have come to from your inner healing, which allows you to move into greater love for others, without compromising yourself. This is the full completion and growth into your next stage stage of greater love and consciousness. This is the completion of the soul work you have come to do and for which you created this circumstance.
I hope this has been helpful as a further clarification of the process, so you can better understand how you can respond and make use of the concept that individuals create their reality. The most important thing that will help you is to resist the tendency to use this concept to separate from others (or yourself) through judgment and blame. Whenever that is arising, use it an indicator that you are in pain and do your work to receive the gift and growth of your own pain.
I love you most dearly and am honored to help to the best of my ability.
With fullest blessings,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: How to Change Threatening Circumstances
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 27, 2014
Question: This point of time in human history is uniquely important because we are facing an ecological crisis and industrial collapse. The main reason for this threat is an outdated story/dream that economic exploitation of natural and human resources is beneficial. It seems that somehow this story/dream has to be changed in order for the planet to survive. However, you have said that changing someone else’s story is not productive. How can we bring forth the story that will change the current threatening situation in time?
Mary Magdalene: Hello my beloved one. Thank you for your question. I sense this is an important concern for you and that others share your question. The answer has some complexity to it and I will do my best to clarify the different aspects.
From my point of view there are many “stories” or beliefs that people are operating out of that are creating your world to be the way that it is today. Many of these stories are shared belief systems, which many people have agreed upon. Usually people are indoctrinated into these beliefs at a young age, through the beliefs that their parents hold, which are later reinforced by your various systems of education, religion, social norms and cultural beliefs, etc. Some of these beliefs are more obvious than others. For example, a belief that “You should follow the Bible” might be a more obvious belief structure that is shaping someone’s life. A less obvious belief might be that “You have to follow what the authorities tell you to do.” An example of an even deeper and less obvious belief is “Right and wrong are real” or “You get rewarded for doing the right thing and punished for doing the wrong thing.”
I would suggest that everything in your world is determined by beliefs. Your whole third-dimensional world is a creation of both the mass beliefs of everyone involved and the individual beliefs of each person participating. If any particular person—in this case you—would like to change your reality, you have the power to do so. The key is through your own beliefs.
If you change your beliefs, the reality you experience will change. If you are not happy with your present reality, your work and your opportunity is to look at your own beliefs that are creating that reality. This is not an easy thing for most people to do. It takes spiritual strength and skill to do this. This is why people often enlist the help of others to support them in this kind of work—their guides and higher self, other friends who they trust to provide good counsel, or professionals such as counselors or spiritual teachers.
A huge part of the consciousness that creates third-dimensional thinking is the belief that one’s reality is being created by others, or an “other” in particular. If you listen to people talk about their relationship challenges, most often you will hear people recite a long list of shortcomings on their partner’s part that created all the difficulties. If it’s a political problem, it’s always the other side who’s at fault. You can see this in almost any human interaction in the third dimension. Of course, I’m exaggerating to say this is always the case, but it’s the hallmark of third-dimensional consciousness. There’s a sense of being separate from others, which is one story or belief system. There’s also a sense that right and wrong is real, which is another story or belief system. And there’s a sense of threat or deprivation—that your fundamental needs, beginning with survival, are at stake and you need to fight for these or you will be eradicated. This is possibly the deepest story or belief system in the third dimension and its attendant consciousness.
When you put all of these together, the result is a pervasive story of “me versus the others,” with the others being wrong, which is the primary form that fighting for your own survival takes in the third dimension. The story is that if someone can prove “the other” to be wrong, then the person who is now “right” is entitled to get their needs met, whatever those needs are in that particular circumstance.
This obviously is irrational when you look at it this way. Why should some be entitled to get their needs met and others not entitled? This is another story that is pervasive in the third-dimensional consciousness. When you bring it to the light of consciousness, you can see that it’s the kind of story that a young child, who doesn’t have very much relational sophistication, might create. Yet it truly is a story that pervades your world.
It is absolutely true that one aspect of everyone’s spiritual work in the third dimension is to become conscious of the stories that are creating your reality. But you must realize that ultimately they are all your stories. This might be very hard medicine to take in. You might prefer to see yourself as the innocent victim, suffering the effects of powerful forces that you have no control over. But that is not actually the case.
If you are telling yourself that others are creating the situation in your world of exploitation of human and natural resources, and you want to change that, you must go further in your enquiry. You must discover your own personal story that is creating that scenario. Is your story that you have no power? Is your story that you must oppose others and fight to have your own needs met? Is your story that you must prove yourself to others, attain their validation in order to have what you want? Your work is to unearth your own story that is creating this circumstance in your life. To do so, you will need to release your focus on what others are doing to create this. In other words, you will need to disentangle yourself from the story or belief that your life is controlled by others. This alone takes great spiritual fortitude. Essentially you are releasing yourself from the third-dimensional consciousness.
This is the ultimate work that all of you have come here to do—to grow beyond the third-dimensional consciousness. The issues you see around you that might seem like crises or dire circumstances are really just vehicles for that growth. That is not to say that you should dissociate from the world, because then you would be dissociating from your opportunities for growth. It is to say that you should participate in the world at the greatest spiritual depth you are capable of. Perhaps your current level of depth will lead you to oppose some others, which may be for your highest growth at this time. Eventually you will see that it is not necessary to oppose others. Eventually you will see that there are no “others” to oppose. It was all you all along.
But this is something to be realized. It is not another belief or story to adopt through the mind. All of the true stories are profound parts of yourself that you integrate through your experience. If not, the story just becomes mental clutter that blocks your true growth.
I hope this has been helpful to you. I commend you for your obvious dedication to your own growth as well as to serving your world. I fully trust this is leading you to the perfect experiences for your growth and evolution, which does not mean your experiences are easy or pleasurable. Nonetheless, at the deepest level I believe all experiences are guided by the benign forces of the great plan of spiritual growth and evolution that is leading all beings forward in our reunion with God.
In great love and fullest blessings,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Which Story of Jesus and Mary Magdalene Is True?
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 13, 2014
Question: The recent validation by scientists of a scrap of papyrus that has the words “Jesus” and “my wife” on it is raising questions for many people relative to whether Yeshua (Jesus) was married. At the same time, I have received a number of questions from people wanting to know what really happened in your and Yeshua’s incarnation 2,000 years ago, such as: Were you married? Were you sexual? Did you have children? What happened to your children? Did Yeshua survive the crucifixion? Was Yeshua born through immaculate conception? Is Yeshua buried in Israel or France or India?
In your communications to me, you have chosen to say very little about your own and Yeshua’s lives. I have understood this as an intentional choice on your part to focus on human beings in the present time and how you can help us to grow.
I have been comfortable with that, because I feel deeply fulfilled by my present time connection with you and the tremendous gifts you’ve offered to help me and others in our lives. But I feel other people’s desire to want to know what actually happened with you and Yeshua, and this stirs up something in me. I feel torn—I want to contribute to people’s peace and understanding, and I also feel reluctant to enter into this whole arena of saying what is true, somehow sensing that it may not be the path I’m meant to take. Can you help me with this?
Mary Magdalene: Blessings dear sister. I can feel the turbulence in your heart of wanting to understand something that is confusing to you. I would like to help you and will do my best to bring clarity and peace to what you have asked. Of course, this is a huge topic. So I may need to address it in more than one session. We will see how far we can get with it today.
It seems that most of the questions people are asking of you and of others, if not all, are based on people wanting to know what really happened in the past. So I would like to begin with addressing this, because it is really the underlying issue. Can you, or anyone, know what happened? Is it necessary to know what happened? Is it important to know what happened? Why do people want to know what happened?
All of this relates to the way you learn and grow in the third dimension. In fact, the reason that higher beings come into manifestation in the third dimension is because of what people require in your dimension to learn and grow. Most of you require experiences based in your physical senses. You especially require to see, hear, and touch. If you have these experiences, then you believe something is real or true. So higher beings come into physical manifestation to give these experiences to people in the third dimension, so that people in the third dimension can trust that what that being says and does is real and true.
If that trust exists, there is the possibility that people in the third dimension will open their heart and mind to that higher being. Then the higher being can help people grow spiritually through the process of spiritual transmission—which means to give someone the direct experience of a higher dimension. Spiritual transmission can be given through sight (though seeing a being who brings this higher consciousness and affords individuals access to higher dimensions); through hearing the words of a being awakened to higher dimensions; or through receiving the touch of that being. These forms of spiritual transmission have been given the name “shaktipat” in the Indian tradition, where there is understanding of the efficacy and value of this kind of interchange. Touch is generally considered to be the strongest form, with sight second, and speech third.
You, yourself, have had many such experiences, both in your 3D physical life, and also through your contact with higher beings at subtle levels, such as your contact with me. So you understand this process of spiritual transmission very well.
For individuals who are not able to be physically present with higher beings in the third dimension, there are other avenues of receiving their spiritual transmission. These include viewing photographs and video recordings of those beings, hearing audio recordings, reading written recordings, and hearing the stories of those who have been in their physical company.
Stories are a particularly potent form of transmission in your third dimensional world, because in hearing a story, the listener or receiver has the possibility of identifying with the characters in the story and thus feeling the story come to life within them. This is an important process. It is actually much more than fantasy, though many people might attribute it to that and in so doing try to minimize its importance. But it is actually not just “mere” imagination. It is actually very important.
Why is this so important? It’s because this has everything to do with how creation takes place. You have a popular song in your culture that refers to this with an expression of something like “If I can dream it, I can be it.” There is great truth to this, more than most beings in your world currently understand or are aware of. I spoke about this in my communication to you several messages ago. [Note from Mercedes: Mary is referring to the blog post titled “Are We Responsible For Everything We Experience?”] This is an understanding that you will fully come to know and integrate in the fourth dimension.
I have said in the past that the fourth dimension is very much like the place you are familiar with from your dreams when you sleep. It is a realm where you are much more aware of your ability to create, through your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Ultimately your ability to create comes from your total consciousness.
This is also true of the third dimension. But because the third dimension is physically based and seems much more fixed and immutable to most people than the higher dimensions (such as the realm you visit in your dreams), most people are not aware that the third dimension is also a place of creation. This concept is very new and unfamiliar to most people at the third-dimensional level.
Nonetheless, it is accurate that you are creating your reality through your consciousness at the third dimension. It’s just much harder to see and be aware of for most people. It is as though your realm is a movie or TV show that’s constantly being created by your consciousness. And you have taken the starring role! [Mary smiles.]
As I said before this is hard for many people to accept, because they are still entrenched in right-wrong thinking, and they blame themselves for things happening that they think are wrong or bad. This is all part of the great school of the third dimension, to grow beyond this kind of thinking. While pain and suffering are obviously an inherent part of the third dimension—and you will be glad to hear that they are not, for the most part, a part of the higher dimensions in the same, gross form—they are not evidence of someone doing something wrong. They are simply a form of learning that is helping you to grow into love and light. And it is a form of learning that all beings in the third dimension have freely chosen, because pain and suffering are such a powerful form for moving individuals forward quickly in their growth.
You may be wondering what all this has to do with the original question about what happened 2,000 years ago with me and with Jesus. It has to do with the power of stories as a particularly human form of learning and growth. When individuals hear a story, they will either resonate with it or not. They will discern at some level whether they trust the story, whether it seems believable to them, and whether it has value for them. If they decide it is believable and has value, they will let it into their consciousness. Then it becomes a part of them.
This is actually the same thing you do with any experience in life. When you encounter another person, you discern if you resonate with that person or not—if you trust them, if you relate to them, and if they have value for you. If these three criteria are met, then you will decide to open to them, in some way or other. And this will shape the course of your life, in some way or other.
The same is true of a story. If you open to it, it will shape the course of your life, in some way or other. If many people open to the same story, it will shape the course of your culture, in some way or other.
All of this is because you as an individual or a collective are creating your life based on your consciousness. It does not really matter whether that consciousness is based upon a physically perceived experience or a story. Either has the power to create your life, once you let it in. From our perspective in the higher dimensions, the difference is not significant. What you have experienced physically could be seen as a kind of story that your consciousness is having. And certainly your memory of what you’ve experienced in the past could be seen as a kind of story.
This relates to the expression in your time that you are a spiritual being having a human experience, as opposed to a human being have a spiritual experience. If you are rooted in the first statement, you could see your life, or anyone’s life, as a being immersed in a kind of story that you call human life. From that perspective, it becomes much less important to know what really happened, because you understand that if it’s just a story, then whatever “happened” is simply a choice of one possibility out of infinite possibilities. And that also is true in your earthly realm of everything you refer to as “real life.”
What is important in a story is not actually “what happened.” That is simply the means to give you something, some kind of experience. It may be the experience of having an adventure, growing in new ideas or understandings, or opening you emotionally in a way that deepens your heart. These tend to be the kinds of experiences you have in stories you come to value.
In your world at this time you have many different stories that exist about Jesus and Mary Magdalene. What is important is not the veracity of the various stories. That pursuit is going to draw you deeper into the third-dimensional consciousness of needing things to be “real,” which usually means provable in a physical way. And the ultimate result of that pursuit is to reinforce being limited to the physical dimension.
But you have another option, which is to see the stories more in the ways that we do at the higher dimensions. You can see these stories as vehicles of opening to spiritual reality, which really means opening to love and light, and ultimately opening to God. Depending on where someone is in their spiritual path and development, and the level of consciousness they are resonating at, different people will align themselves to different stories, because those are the ones that meet their own criteria of resonating with their experience and having value for them. So they will open to certain stories and not open to others. All people do this.
In the course of a particular individual’s lifetime, that person may align with a certain story at a certain point of their development and later outgrow that story as they develop further. Many of you have this experience relative to the story of Santa Claus, for example. When you were young, you held that story as true in a particular way. Later, you held it as a story that wasn’t factually true, but was either a sweet fiction, a reflection of a part of human nature, a myth based in certain cultural practices or historical figures, or a combination of these.
The stories that abound in your time about Jesus and myself are maintained by the consciousness of the people who believe in them. They are helpful for those people in their current level of spiritual growth. To try to change someone’s story is similar to trying to change their dreams. It is not going to be productive. They are opening themselves to that story because it is a fit for them at their stage and process in the current moment.
What’s more to the point are your own stories. [Note from Mercedes: Mary is addressing me personally at this point.] You could say that part of your story is to be in a world where different people have different stories and you don’t know how to reconcile this. My suggestion is that it’s not yours to reconcile, other than to consider the source of this scenario in your own consciousness. What does this reflect about you? Are you needing others to validate your “story” in order to trust it yourself? Are you needing others to believe what you believe in order to be accepted?
What does this say about you and your opening to love and light. What limit is this reflecting in you? And what are your options for going beyond that limit?
What if you were to accept all the diversity of stories as something like a huge fair with so many different possibilities. What if you could love them all, as different people in their process of growing into light and love? What if you were to release your sense of responsibility for knowing or communicating “the truth” to others, and simply could support them in discovering their truth in this moment and the story that reflects that for them?
This brings up fear for you, that others won’t understand what you’re doing if you try to do this. They might accuse you of being a fraud or a charlatan for supporting a “false” story. It is true, this has happened to many in the past, including yourself. [Note from Mercedes: Mary is referring to past lives of mine when I was persecuted for not supporting the generally held beliefs of the time.] So that is part of your growth in this lifetime, to go beyond your fear of not being accepted by others or being harmed by others’ lack of understanding.
And even these are stories you are creating. Your spiritual process in this moment may be to begin to create new stories for yourself, where others understand and value you. It really is that simple. But no, it is not easy, especially at the third dimension. Spiritual growth is not easy, but it is simple. And I am here to support you in it to the fullest extent I can. Because I love you. Profoundly.
And it will become simpler. As you grow, the things you struggled with in the past will become simpler and simpler. But this is for you to realize, as you inevitably will, as you grow.
I feel I have said enough for now. I love you and embrace you tenderly in my arms of care and compassion. Be well my dearest. You are precious and all of this is helping you to grow.
In love and gratitude,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Taking Full Responsibility vs. Not Taking Things Personally
Part 2 of a Message
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 6, 2014
[Note: This is a continuation of the previous post, titled “Are We Responsible For Everything We Experience?”]
Question: Some teach that we are 100% responsible for all we create in the world. For example, if someone is rude to us, that is something we created. Others, teach not to take things personally, i.e. I know what others say/do is about them, not about me. How do you see it?
Mary Magdalene: Hello dear ones. I return to you again to continue with my response to the question that has been asked. In my last communication, I addressed the first part of this question, explaining why you are responsible for the experiences you are having. Now I would like to address the second part of this question relative to the instruction some people have given to not take things personally.
This, too, is a complex thing to explain. Again I will do my best to clarify what is meant by this, as I see it.
I want to begin by explaining a certain context, which I believe is important to have in order to fully understand this. This relates to the two aspects of the Divine, which I have talked about extensively in the past. I refer to these two aspects as the Masculine and Feminine aspects of God, because that is the way I understand them most easily and directly. So I will use these terms of Masculine and Feminine. If labeling these aspects in that way doesn’t resonate with you, or perhaps is even repelling for you, please replace the terms with others that work for you. The labels are not what is important. It is the concepts and meanings that are valuable.
To recap what I mean by the Masculine and Feminine aspects of God, the Divine Masculine refers to the transcendental aspect of the Divine. It is that which is beyond or prior to manifestation. It is what is often referred to as the infinite or eternal. This quality of God was, in the past, especially focused on in your eastern religions as “going beyond” the world. In the west, this quality of God was found in the idea of heaven. Many of you have experienced this aspect of God through meditation.
The complementary, yet different, aspect of God, which I refer to as the Divine Feminine, is the aspect of God made manifest. You might call it the immanent God, as opposed to the transcendental God. This is God in form. This aspect of the Divine has been embodied in beings such as Jesus, Buddha, or Mohammed. However, it is much more than that. It’s about relating to all of manifestation as the Divine. This includes everything in manifestation—your entire world and all beings, human and nonhuman, as well as all worlds and all realms—all of the nonphysical realms in all of the dimensions. It is inconceivably vast. Of course, the Divine Masculine is inconceivably vast, also. They both are, but in different ways.
You might think of these two aspects as two sides of a coin. The transcendental is the realm of pure consciousness. And the immanent is the realm of consciousness made manifest. Both are true and real simultaneously. And both are the truth of you all the time. They are truly non-separate.
The reason I am going into so much detail of explaining this is because holding to one arena only, to the exclusion of the other, creates an imbalance of understanding relative to the full picture. Traditionally there has been a bias toward the Divine Masculine understanding of God, especially in your eastern religions. God was seen as something apart from your world and apart from yourself. It was assumed that if one seriously wanted to get closer to God it was necessary to detach from the world, based on the assumption that God is separate from the world.
In truth, God is both transcendental and immanent. Everything is God. This may only be a belief for most of you, but as you grow spiritually it will become more and more your reality. Separation is a hallmark of the third dimension. As you grow beyond the third dimension and its attendant consciousness, you will also grow beyond this view of God as other than or separate from manifestation.
This was a large part of what Yeshua came to teach. He came to teach love of self and love of others as God. This was a very radical idea in his time, and still is for most people—especially if you go beyond a cursory or superficial embrace of what this really means. He did not see himself as different from others, because he saw all as God. That was his truth and consciousness.
People experienced this consciousness in his company through the power of his being, the force-field of his consciousness, which was palpable and real when people were in his physical presence. This was truly the greatest “miracle” he performed—to allow people to experience his state and consciousness in his company. Unfortunately, most people didn’t have the ability to sustain this consciousness outside of his company. Because of this, they attributed it to him uniquely, making him into a God that was separate from themselves and all others. This is not what he wanted to communicate. Yet it was natural that it would occur, given the state of consciousness that most people had attained at that time.
Now you are living in a different time, when people are on the brink of breaking through to a higher state of consciousness, and with that moving into a higher dimension of reality. Many of you are opening to different ideas that suggest this higher state or that can support you in moving into it. The idea that everyone is fully responsible for their circumstance is one of those ideas. The idea that you shouldn’t take things personally is another one of those ideas. Yet they address different aspects of your reality and work in different ways.
The idea of not taking anything personally is a suggestion that is intended to move you into connecting more strongly with the Divine Masculine, or the transcendental aspect of God. The Divine Masculine is the epitome of impersonal-ness. When you are in a state of deeply connecting with the transcendental, you are moved beyond the circumstances and events of your manifest world. It then becomes natural to not relate to things in a personal way. There is a level of impersonal-ness or detachment to everything, including to yourself. This will often be accompanied by feelings of peace, freedom, and a sense of mental clarity as to how to engage your circumstance or what actions to take. This can be quite helpful in dealing with situations that are emotionally charged or button-pushing in some way. Your reactions to such circumstances can cause you to lose your connection to the transcendental, or what you might call the big picture. In such instances, a reminder to “not take things personally” can be helpful.
However, to truly not take things personally includes not taking yourself personally. It’s not meant to be understood as “what others do is about them and not me.” It’s meant to be used as a support for moving you into reconnecting with the transcendental position relative to the other person and yourself.
Simultaneous with the possibility of relating to things from the transcendental position is another option that is equally true, which is to say that every circumstance is both about you and the other person. This is because of what you might call “the law of manifestation”: that everyone is creating everything in their experience. If you are having the experience of someone else doing something, you both have created that because you both are experiencing it. This is the Feminine aspect of the Divine, because it involves being in relationship to everything in manifestation. You could say that this aspect of the Divine is completely personal, because you personally have created everything in your experience.
This is an example of how both the Divine Feminine and Masculine are simultaneously true. They may seem to be in conflict with each other from your third-dimensional point of view, but that is not actually the case. They are the ultimate complements.
The whole picture is that everything is really about you, because you manifested it and because everything is really one, including all of manifestation and manifest experience. At the same time, nothing is about you, because your true reality transcends all of this. Both are true. Always. To deny one or the other is to miss the point. To hold both at the same time is to be whole. It is a paradox and it is to be lived. Through the living, you will come to know the truth of it.
Taking everything as personal by taking full responsibility for everything leads to love and compassion and forgiveness and growth. Taking nothing as personal leads to peace, freedom, truth, and growth. The beauty of the Masculine and Feminine is that they love each other and are in complete union with each other in God. This is a model for how humans in your world can be in love with both aspects and embrace both aspects. That will serve your wholeness and expedite your growth more than anything else.
There has been harm done by only holding one or the other of these without a complete understanding of what it truly means, or without holding it in union with the other. Holding the idea of not taking things personally has been used as a way of separating oneself from others, and thus withholding love and compassion. This has been counterproductive to your spiritual growth. Similarly, holding the idea of people being 100% responsible for their reality has been used to blame others for their experience, which also blocks love and compassion. This has also been counterproductive to your spiritual growth.
Use these principles with care. They are guidelines for something you will come to realize, not ideas with which to insulate yourself or separate you from others. The result of these principles should be greater love compassion, consciousness, peace and freedom. If that’s not the result, you probably are not fully understanding them and they are not benefiting you.
I hope this has been helpful. I love you all so very much and deeply appreciate your sincerity of care and devotion to your spiritual growth and understanding.
With great love and blessings,
I AM Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene: Are We Responsible For Everything We Experience?
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On April 2, 2014
Question: Some teach that we are 100% responsible for all we create in the world. For example, if someone is rude to us, that is something we created. Others teach not to take things personally, i.e. I know what others say or do is about them, not about me. How do you see it?
Mary Magdalene: Hello my dear ones. Thank you for calling on me and asking me this question. I am very happy to respond.
This is a question that many in the spiritual community in your world are confused about. It is somewhat complex to answer, with a number of layers, which is part of why it has created confusion for so many. I will do my best to sort it out and make it more understandable.
The short answer is that both are true, with a certain understanding. I will begin with talking about the idea that you are 100% responsible for everything you experience. This is actually true, but not easy for many in your world to understand. It’s actually a central part of the spiritual process that people in your world are growing into at this time. The leaders in your spiritual world are more at a place of understanding and acceptance of this. Most of the people who have heard of this concept find it difficult to accept or perhaps even feel repelled by the idea in some way. And many, probably the vast majority in your world, are not even aware of this as a principle or possible belief.
One analogy that might help is to think of your dreams. Most people are comfortable with the point of view that you create everything that happens in your dreams. This includes yourself and your actions, as well as all the other beings and their actions. In actuality, your waking realm is fundamentally the same. It is created also—through your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Much of your life and the experiences your have within your life were created or chosen by you prior to your taking incarnation in this lifetime. This includes not just the things that you do yourself. It also includes the other people in your life and the ways that they relate to you. You chose the major events and experiences you have in your life to support you in your soul growth. Every person is working on certain lessons or arenas. Before you incarnate in a particular lifetime, you choose the major experiences in your life that will support you in that growth. You also choose others that you will interact with in major ways who will be part of your opportunity to have the soul growth you’re working on. And the others agree to interact with you and support your growth in those ways.
At the same time, those others are also working on their own soul growth and have chosen experiences and interactions with others that will support their growth. All interactions that you have with others are simultaneously supporting both your and their soul-growth, often in different but complementary ways.
You also have free will to create your life. You exercised that free will in your pre-incarnation state by choosing the experiences you’d have during your lifetime. You also have a great deal of free will during your incarnation to fill in the details and all the day-to-day aspects of your life, as well as choosing if you will carry out what you set in place prior to incarnating.
So truly, all the experiences you have are ones that you have created, either consciously through your pre-life choices, subconsciously through your past-life choices (this is sometimes called karma), or simply through your personal energetics in the present and the way creation occurs.
This part is somewhat more subtle but not really that difficult to understand. Every person has a certain frequency that they are vibrating at, which is a result of the level of consciousness they are holding in all the arenas of their being. That frequency goes out to your world, kind of like a radio signal going out. In some ways that frequency is also like an energetic magnet. It not only goes out, it also filters through all the frequencies in your realm and draws in whatever events match that frequency. Just as there are sounds that only some animals can hear, like a dog hearing a high pitched sound, similarly you will only experience the frequencies that are vibrating at the same frequency as yours.
Thus, there is a very real way that you have created all the events in your life through the frequency that you hold. You could say that the events in your life are matching your own frequency and thus serve as a mirror to yourself. This is where it is valuable to be conscious of this process. If you understand this, you then gain the power to create what you want in your life. If you are experiencing something that you’re not enjoying, your power lies with yourself and your own frequency to change that circumstance. You must change your frequency, which happens by changing your consciousness. Once you do that, it is somewhat like changing the station on a radio. You are now tuned to a different (higher) frequency and will be attracting in different experiences at that new frequency.
This is why it’s so counterproductive to focus on others as the cause of your life experiences. It’s kind of like yelling at a radio because you don’t like the music being played. All you really need to do is change to a new station. I say “all” because it’s simple in principle. But as most of you know, it’s not usually so simple in practice.
Most of you are very attached to the frequencies you’re familiar with and tend to hold onto them mightily, even if the results of those frequencies aren’t things you enjoy. This is part of the third-dimensional experience. At a core level, you identify with your frequencies and have a fear that you’ll die or become nothing is if you let go of them. So spiritual practice takes dedication and perseverance, as well as compassion, forgiveness, and kindness toward yourself. Personal transformation in your realm is not an easy process, and you all are to be commended for all the steps you take that further this ongoing evolution.
What does it mean to change your frequency or raise your consciousness? This is not easy to describe, but it’s basically the core of what spiritual practice involves. Your consciousness is your core sense of who you are and how you relate to everything else. The closer your consciousness is to God-consciousness, the higher it is. The further away it is from God-Consciousness, the lower it is. God-consciousness could be seen as pure love, resting in Source, complete forgiveness and compassion, total peace, unity with all. These are some of the attributes, though not a total description. But it is probably sufficient for you to understand what raising your consciousness means. Anything that moves you closer to these attributes is movement toward higher consciousness.
I think it would be helpful at this point to give a concrete example. I can use the example given in the question. Let’s say that you walk into a room where someone you know is talking with others, and they don’t acknowledge you or introduce you to the other people. You could focus on the person you know and judge them for being wrong in some form, calling them rude or whatever other internal arguments you come up with to justify your position that they’re in the wrong somehow. This will probably have the effect of keeping you stuck in your mind ruminating about them, as well as keeping you stuck in your painful emotions of feeling hurt, angry, insecure, or whatever else is coming up.
If you were to choose instead to focus on yourself, you could make the assumption that you have created this and consider how you have attracted this frequency into your life. Perhaps you are rude in this way with others, and are not aware of what you’re doing or how it affects others. Perhaps you need to work on being more assertive and standing up for yourself through communication or other actions. Perhaps you’re not tending to be aware of others feelings, and this situation is reflecting that back to you.
Let’s say that this second one is the case —that you’re working on creating more equality in your life. By assuming the “underdog” role, you have attracted in people who are also involved in this dynamic, either as “bullies” or as similar underdog roles to yours. You can take responsibility for this by looking at the opportunity being given to you through this situation. You’re being given an opportunity to expand and change your frequency, by assuming a different relationship to what’s happening.
Instead of being the “victim” and reacting from that position, you could introduce yourself to the others and greet the person you know. In doing so, you’re contributing to a new frequency in yourself. You’re helping yourself shift from the oppressor-oppressed frequency to a frequency of relating as equals. As this frequency becomes stronger for you and you increasingly practice it, you will release the old frequency. Over time, you will no longer attract oppressor-oppressed circumstances into your life. You will have fulfilled your growth in that area and you won’t require those circumstances any longer. You will have moved to a higher frequency in that domain and will be attracting in different experiences.
This is why two individuals can go through the same circumstances and have very different experiences. You sometimes see this in a family, where two children have very different reactions to very similar circumstances. You also see it in group dynamics, where different individuals report having very different experiences in the same situation.
One thing that can help is to realize that any circumstance in which you feel an emotional charge is usually a circumstance you’ve called in for your growth. The reason you have the charge is because it is reflecting something within yourself that is hard for you to see and is causing you pain in some way. This is the great benefit of physical incarnation. Your circumstances make it very clear what you need to do for your own growth. The more you realize this, the better off you will be. You will grow more quickly and with greater ease. And you will more directly enjoy your outer circumstances as the kind you like.
You may be wondering right now, What about people who have really difficult or awful circumstances. Why would they create this? This is a question many of you have, and it is understandable that you would have it. The answer is not an easy one. Pain and suffering are part of what people have come to experience in your world. It is not only that pain is given to help you grow, which is true most of the time. It’s also that it’s part of the totality of experience that beings chose to have by incarnating here. It is a way of knowing the totality of all, which pain and suffering are a part of. It is also the case that it is most severe at the third dimension. Many have said that humans were never intended to drop to the levels of pain and suffering that you have, and that in some ways this realm and the results of free will can be seen as an experiment gone wrong. Regardless of how you see that, it is true that it is now time for this phase of humanity’s experience to come to completion and for humans to move on to their next phase, which means moving to the next dimension of experience. This requires moving to higher consciousness. Taking full responsibility for yourself and the results of your creation is one of the fastest ways to do that.
I want to address why this is difficult for so many people. This has to do with the concepts of right and wrong or good and bad that are so entrenched in third-dimensional thinking. Many of you believe that taking responsibility for all of your experience is the same as saying you’re to blame for them or that you’re at fault for doing something wrong. This is most unfortunate. It’s also an inherent part of growing into higher consciousness. You are not at fault or to blame for creating painful experiences, any more than a child in elementary school is to blame for not knowing higher subjects. You are simply at the level you’re at, and you need that level of reflection to help you with your growth. This requires great self-compassion to understand this and shift into this disposition. Whatever you are experiencing is ultimately a gift from God to help you, even though it may not seem like it at the time. How many times do you look back at difficult experiences from your past and realize that they were the vehicle of some important growth for you? This is actually always the case.
It also means that you must get beyond comparing yourself to others. It is true that beings are not all at the same stage of development spiritually. This again can be seen as being a grand school. You can be respectful and compassionate toward yourself and all others, regardless of the level you’re at. This in itself will shift you into a higher level of consciousness, in many cases.
I feel I have said enough at this time about this approach of assuming 100% responsibility for all the events of your life. I hope it has been helpful. I will respond to the second part of this question on another occasion.
I send you my love and blessings for all of your diligent work and growth into higher consciousness.
With great love and compassion,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Relationships and Monogamy
An Excerpt of a Channeling
Received By Mercedes Kirkel
On June 16, 2013
Question: When talking about the deep, love-filled union that you and Yeshua achieved together, were you a monogamous couple? Is monogamy representative of a true love or sacred sexuality type of relationship?
Mary Magdalene: We were in relationship at an extremely high level. At that level, relationship is so fulfilling, it is natural to simply be with one another. At that level, we do not make these kinds of pacts or delineations that you tend to make. So it never occurred to us to define our relationship in any particular way. It was a response at the highest levels of our being to each other.
It takes wisdom to understand where these questions come from. It takes discernment to understand if your motive is coming from your most high connection to God and your calling for that, or not. It is possible to have no limit on your loving. But it is not likely, because your desire is so fulfilled in your relationship. Yet it is possible that you may have this with more than one person.
In your world, having more than one partner is generally a distraction from the work that people have to do of growing in God. It is generally not based in the very highest motives. It is often based on a disconnection from God, where there is a sense of lack in receiving the exquisite properties that are always being offered. Out of that lack, one may feel a need to find it in a different person.
Oftentimes this lack is related to wounding. It’s related to a block within the person of actually receiving the love that they seek. They may have a deep wound, and out of that wound, a deep fear of opening to a level that will cause them to experience that wound. When they begin to approach this level of depth of love with a partner, they withdraw and seek another partner. This is done to protect them from that level of intimacy that will bring up the wound. But the best thing that they could do would be to bring up that wound, so that it could be healed.
Relationship will bring up everything that is necessary for healing. This is why it is wise to be strong in yourself and in your relationship to God, before you enter into relationship with a partner. This is why, when I began to talk today, I began with those two arenas—your relationship to yourself and to God, because they form the foundation. If they are not strong, you will bring extra challenge into your relationship.
When there is challenge in relationship, the first thing to look at is your relationship to yourself, your own inner Feminine and Masculine, and your relationship to God. See if there is work to be done there and if the challenge that is being brought up is guiding you to that work, so that you may do it.
In most cases, in your world, that will be the case with people who are considering the idea of multiple partnerships. They will see that there is actually their own work to be done, which will resolve the question in their mind.
But it is a possibility that people could be in relationships with more than one partner. Yet in your world it is not likely. Most of those relationships will tend to happen at higher levels. For some people, who are greatly drawn to seeking multiple partners, it is because they remember this possibility. But it is not what they came into the third dimension to actually experience. For most people, it is complicating their lives and their spiritual work to try to create this and sustain it. For most people, expanded relationships will be found at the subtler levels, in their relationships with their guides, in their relationship with God. It will not be necessary to manifest that at the physical level with multiple partners.

MARY MAGDALENE: Transitioning Into Inclusion
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 19, 2014
Question: I know you talked about inclusion in your book, Mary Magdalene Beckons, but I would like to know more about it. How can we be more inclusive, as individuals and as a society?
Mary Magdalene: Hello to you and thank you for your question. I will do my best to respond.
The concept of “inclusion” is somewhat unfamiliar to your culture, in general, at this time. This is because it is something that you, as a collective, are growing into. So it may be easiest to understand it if you consider what preceded it, which you are now growing out of it.
As I have said before, the third dimension is rooted in certain ideas or mindsets. One of the strongest ones is the idea or primal assumption that there isn’t enough for everyone. Some have referred to this as a sense of lack or “not enoughness.” At its core, it’s very connected to your innate drive for survival. It creates a sense that survival is something you have to fight for, or at least stay constantly vigilant about. If you don’t, you may “lose out.” The limited resources may go to someone else and you will not be sustained. You’ll be snuffed out.
You might call this survival of the fittest. That is not just an idea that relates to evolution. It is a subconscious presumption that runs human beings at the third dimension. You feel you must always be “on top of your game,” so to speak, or someone else is going to beat you and you will be cast by the wayside. This core belief operates in all arenas—relative to work, relationships, everything.
You can see that the belief is very closely related to competition. If there isn’t enough to go around, then it’s necessary to compete with others to insure that you get what you need, regardless of the ramifications for others. This puts people in the third dimension into a very difficult situation. If you help others, it may be at your own expense. If you take care of yourself, it may be at the expense of your caring for others. This is what you might call a lose-lose proposition. Either way you are forfeiting something essential – your own wellbeing or your closeness and connection with others.
This situation has created great pain, struggle, and conflict in your Earth realm. In the consciousness that is associated with the third dimension, it appears there is no solution. This is just “the way it is.” There’s an expression that many of you are familiar with: Life’s a bitch and then you die. This accurately describes the dilemma of this situation and the ultimate dissatisfaction it promotes.
Many of the problems you experience at the collective level of your society can be traced back to this core presumption. It relates to hoarding and unequal distribution of wealth, as well as the collective disposition of not caring about most of the other people in your world. There’s a sense of “How can I care?” You believe that if you were to open yourself to caring, you would be quickly drained and emptied, and thus lose on the survival side of things.
It has not always been like this on your Earth. In earlier times, many people lived more communally and there was a sense of sharing and taking care of each other that occurred. As civilization has developed, this caring for each other has, in general, decreased to the point that now it is mostly relegated to the nuclear family level. Within nuclear families, there is still a sense of everyone being cared for. Yet many people today are not part of a nuclear family and find themselves in a position of feeling very isolated at the most fundamental level. In these cases, individuals feel it’s entirely up to themselves to take care of themselves and insure their survival. If they don’t, no one else will be there for them.
Some of your countries are taking steps to change this at a national level, by instituting government programs that insure people the necessities of life in terms of food, and possibly shelter and health care. Other countries, such as the United States, are lagging behind in this regard, which represents a great fear on the part of many people to take this step, ultimately going back to the primal fear that taking care of others will thwart your own survival.
These types of government programs are a beginning step toward moving into a state of inclusion. But they are still tending to work from the outside, and rather peripherally, rather from the fundamental consciousness. When I talk about inclusion, I’m really talking about a radical shift in consciousness. which rests upon the presumption that there truly is enough for everyone. If this is so, then you are no longer in conflict with others at the most fundamental level. You can afford to care for others, to support and help them, and to cooperate with them, because doing so won’t threaten your survival. This is not just a good idea. It’s actually a whole different level of consciousness. Some people in your world already come from this consciousness, but they tend to be relatively rare. But you are growing into a time when this will become the norm.
The cosmic humor of this situation is that your consciousness creates your reality. If you think there isn’t enough, there really won’t be enough. If you think there is enough, there will be. This, too, is not just a hopeful idea. It’s a reality.
Yet there is one more essential aspect to this consideration. In order to get to this higher consciousness of assuming abundance for all, you also most go beyond the concept so many of you have that life is limited to the time between your birth and your death. This is part of the fundamental limitation of your thinking in the third dimension. In fact, your life goes far beyond both of those points. But most of you cannot remember your previous lives, before your birth. Nor do you have the ability, for the most part, to connect with those who have died and have continued on in their life process in another dimension. So you assume that your present lifetime is all there is. There are certain benefits to this presumption, in terms of pursuing your life purpose and making use of your life for your growth. But those benefits have largely served their purpose and, at this time, you are beginning to be better served by the understanding of your actual situation, which is that your lifetime on Earth is just an exceedingly small part of your total journey as a soul. The more you come to understand this, the more you will be able to trust the process of birth, life, death, and beyond – usually involving future births of repeating this cycle for many lifetimes.
If you have this understanding, and it is not a mere belief or wish, but rather a sureness within yourself, you will stop seeing death as the ultimate “loss.” You will simply see it as the ending of this chapter in your journey. It may be a graduation, and hopefully will be, if you have grown and developed during your life. Whether it is or not, you will continue on after this lifetime into new adventures, growth, and progression in your continued life purpose.
This understanding is the other key piece that will allow you to shift into the consciousness of inclusion. In fact, caring for others, as well as yourself, is one of the best ways you can grow as a soul. Neither one—caring for yourself or caring for others —is to be done at the expense of the other. At a certain point of maturity, you come to realize that you can never be fulfilled or satisfied if it is at the expense of another. This is a sign that you are moving into the greater consciousness of your inherent connection with others at the heart, ultimately your non-separation or oneness with others. In its ultimate form, the realization of non-separation or oneness is a profound realization. But caring for others as much as for yourself is one of the beginning forms of that realization.
Mothers often feel this state of inclusion relative to their children. And fathers do, as well, though perhaps not quite as characteristically as mothers. Individuals in love often feel this state with and for their beloved. It is one of the gifts of love. And there are other circumstances when people may feel this. Ultimately it has no limits. The more you grow, the more you will experience it without limits, so that eventually it will become the basis of how you relate to all other beings.
I hope this has helped you to understand this concept. Ultimately words and ideas can only go so far. You will truly start to understand it when you experience the joy of living on this basis. And happily, it is where you are all headed.
With my fullest love and support and compassion,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: Visiting the Fourth Dimension in Dreams
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
On March 12, 2014
Question: I have lucid dreams that leave me physically exhausted the following day. Some I can recall in great detail, others I can’t remember at all. What happens to our bodies after these powerful dream states and what information, if any, are we receiving?
Mary Magdalene: In the third dimension, dreams are one of the ways in which you are able to experience the fourth dimension and interact with your reality in a fourth-dimensional way. What most of you are familiar with and recognize as the dream state is a fourth-dimensional realm. During much of your sleep time, you are resting in this realm and getting refreshed.
In the fourth dimension, beings enjoy constant rejuvenation. So they do not experience aging, degeneration, and disease the way that you do in the third dimension. Part of resting in the fourth dimension during the sleep state is to revitalize and rejuvenate your physical body. Because you are still based in the third dimension—where aging, degeneration, and disease are part of your reality—it is not possible to entirely reverse or eliminate the effects of these processes. They are part of what you, and all beings in the third dimension, have come to the third dimension to experience. Nonetheless, the time you spend in the fourth dimension during sleep has an effect of counteracting these processes, to a certain extent.
During your dream time, you are more consciously and actively involved in the fourth dimension. You experience some of the other qualities of the fourth dimension, especially the ability to manifest instantly. During your dreams, you are able to manifest virtually anything simply by thinking about it. Your thought calls it into manifestation.
Another quality of the fourth dimension is that it is very emotionally based. This is reflected in your dreams, as well. Most dreams have a strong emotional component or characteristic. If your dreams are nightmares, you tend to experience the emotion of fear very strongly. Some dreams are very enjoyable and pleasurable, such as sexual dreams or flying dreams. In these, the emotion you experience may be bliss, or ecstasy, or joy. Other dreams may be characterized by emotions such as curiosity, or stimulation (such as mental stimulation), or intrigue. All these are emotions that are common in the fourth dimension, which is also referred to as the astral plane.
Sometimes your dreams are a way of working out issues from your third-dimensional life or resolving karmas that you are carrying in your present incarnation. If you work through these things in your dreams, they are resolved just as powerfully and effectively as if you were to work through them in your waking consciousness. It is easier to do this kind of purifying work in the dream state than in your waking state. In general, it happens much more quickly and with much less effort. Nonetheless, you may wake up from these kinds of dreams feeling tired, as though you have just done a great deal of work. And indeed you have.
Some cultures have emphasized remembering, recording, and sharing dreams as way of fully receiving the benefits and gifts they provide. While this can be a valuable practice, it is not required for you to reap the benefits of the dreams or the work you do within the dreams. Those benefits occur whether you remember the dreams or not. However, remembering, recording, and sharing dreams may support you in integrating your third-dimensional world with the fourth dimension, and in that way may support you in your process of ascending into the fourth dimension. Remembering, recording, and sharing your dreams may help you to understand things in your current world differently—to take some things more easefully or with more lightness, and perhaps to value other things that you might not have tended to be aware of or considered significant. All this can be helpful.
If you are feeling exhausted from your dreams, I suggest you explore the option of recording and sharing them with others. Beyond that, I recommend taking care of yourself in all the ways I have recommended that people care for themselves in general in the midst of the ascension process. Get extra rest, as you need it. Eat well. Exercise. Spend time in nature. Meditate and pray regularly. Nurture yourself in life-supportive ways. And support yourself with relationships with others whose frequency of light and love supports you in maintaining the highest frequency you can.
With much love,
I AM Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: The Feminine And Masculine Forms Of Meditation
Given to Mercedes Kirkel
On February 25, 2014
Question: I recently read that while in deep meditation you should place your attention on the Ka body (energy body) to build energy, and that if your mind wanders to fantasy you reduce the energy to the Ka. Many teachers/mentors suggest something quite different, saying you should use your meditation to visualize your desires or intentions. They say that during meditation the brain is in an alpha/theta state and you can release dross from the subconscious mind and replace it or reprogram it with compassion or a visualized intention. Can you clarify this for me?
Mary Magdalene: Greetings my beloved. I have heard your call, and I am here with you and happy to answer the question that has been asked. This is a valuable question, as it points to confusion that others may have.
There are many different meditation practices and many different ways to meditate. Fundamentally, the purpose of meditation is to move you into a higher state of consciousness and to experience and rest in, at least for a temporary period of time, the higher frequencies of manifestation, which you might call a higher dimension and which correspond to the higher state of consciousness you have reached.
There are two fundamental forms of meditation. One is a consciousness form and one is an energy form. These two forms can overlap. The consciousness form relates more to the Divine Masculine approach, drawing on the qualities and strengths of the Divine Masculine, which in its purest form manifests or is experienced as pure consciousness. This is rather difficult to describe and express accurately because of the limitations in your language, which don’t allow clear and direct expression of these concepts. Your language difficulty stems from the fact that, in the third dimension, there generally isn’t clear understanding and experience of these concepts and states. So they are generally expressed as best as possible, given these limitations.
The energy form of meditation is based in the Divine Feminine approach, because energy is a characteristic and quality of the Divine Feminine. This is all explained in great detail in the book, Mary Magdalene Beckons. It would be best to reference what is already contained in that book to understand the qualities, attributes, and differences between the Divine Feminine and Masculine in greater depth.
Fundamentally there are these two broad types of meditation, and there are many ways to access and deepen in both. There are also forms of meditation that draw on both the Masculine and the Feminine, to a greater or lesser extent.
The traditional spiritual forms of meditation that were developed in the East, especially in the traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism, tend to be primarily oriented to developing and growing in consciousness. In these practices, you are primarily working with your mind, quieting the lower mind and allowing the higher mind to be accessed. You have concentration practices, such as counting your breaths, becoming aware of your bodily experiences, becoming the witness or observer of all experience, asking questions into the nature of existence, and repeating mantras. All theses are techniques for bringing discipline to the lower mind so that it can relax and subside, thus allowing the higher mind to be accessed.
When the higher mind is accessed, you start to function from a higher consciousness and higher dimension. For most people, this will initially be the fourth dimension. Once the higher mind opens, there are various things that may happen. You may continue to focus on the pure state of consciousness and go more deeply into that state. This may feel like letting go of everything—all aspects of your body-mind—and resting in a state that is deeply refreshing. There may or may not be energy experiences that accompany this, such as a blissful feelings, visions, sounds, appearances of higher beings, etc. It is the choice of the practitioner how they want to proceed when the higher mind opens. They have the choice to continue into a greater connection with pure consciousness or to choose to go into the energy experiences. Neither is right or wrong, better or worse, higher or lower. But they will tend to have different results.
I suggest that you be clear what your intention is in choosing to meditate. If your intention is to clear the mind and refresh yourself deeply in the well of pure consciousness, then choose a meditation that supports that, and follow that form. In those meditations, when the higher mind opens, you will continue to connect as deeply as possible with pure consciousness. Then the instruction would be to not get involved in other phenomena that arise, such as energy experiences, creative thoughts, or various other experiences.
However, you may have a different intention in your meditation. If your intention is to solve problems, manifest a certain experience, or connect with higher beings, etc., you may choose to allow and follow these when they arise.
If I may use you as an example, Mercedes, you spent many years practicing a consciousness-based meditation and became very strong at that. At a certain point, quite a few years ago, you went through a profound awakening in consciousness. In your case, that consciousness practice was supported by other practices of disciplining your physical body, emotions, and energy, which are Feminine aspects of your being. Bringing discipline to them supported you in coming into balance and peace, freeing you to become more aware of consciousness and to go more deeply into the state of pure consciousness.
If the physical body, emotions, and energetic self do not have that kind of balance and peace, they will tend to distract you. Then it’s more difficult to become aware of the higher states of consciousness and to follow those into a deeper union with them. This is why spiritual life is generally engaged with accompanying lifestyle changes and practices, such as having a pure diet, or making choices about the company you keep or the kinds of stimulation you bring to your mind, body, and energetic self. These things all support you becoming more free to focus on and become attuned to pure consciousness.
I have been speaking about meditation up till now in its more Masculine form of uniting with pure consciounsess, bringing the practitioner into a greater sense of liberation, peace, and a certain kind of deep ecstasy of union with God, in a very pure form. I would also like to clarify the more Feminine form of meditation, which has to do with focusing on energy. Ultimately, the Feminine is all about energy. As you know from your scientist, Einstein, and many others as well, energy always has a counterpart in matter, form, or manifestation. This counterpart can be at a much subtler than the physical. You may experience energy as sound, light, or sensations that don’t seem to have a physical base. Creativity is another form of Feminine manifestation, as are the manifestation of subtle beings, such as angels or beings in higher dimensions. All of these forms of energy may become a focus for the Feminine form of mendation.
An example of a more Feminine-based meditation would be to focus your attention on manifesting a certain outcome or on finding a creative solution to a situation or problem. Shamanic journeying is a Feminine form of meditation, because it is based upon experiences in subtler realms of manifestation. It is often guided by a drum or ingestion of a substance that moves you into a different state of energy, as well as a different dimension of existence. Sacred sexuality practice is a Feminine form of energy meditation, because it follows the energy of sexuality to move you into higher states of manifestation. Certain forms of breathwork, such as holotropic breathing, can be practiced as Feminine forms of meditation, as they make use of the energy of the breath to move the practitioner into an altered, or higher, state.
As I said earlier, it is not that one way or the other is right or wrong, better or worse, superior or inferior. They have different purposes and outcomes. So it is to your benefit to become aware of the outcome you desire and to choose a meditation practice that supports that. It is also wise to be aware that different meditation practices appeal to different aspects of your being. Whether you are naturally strong in that aspect of your being will influence whether that form of meditation is accessible or easy for you. Many people have tried the more Masculine forms of meditation and concluded that they’re not capable of meditating, because they weren’t able to quiet their body, energy, or lower mind to the point that their higher mind opened up. Often, that is a sign that these people are not naturally strong in the more Masculine aspect of their being. If they were to engage a more Feminine form of meditation, such as shamanic journeying, sacred sexuality, or a manifestation process, they may have a very different experience, with much greater ease and success.
Truly, you are all both Feminine and Masculine. Ultimately it is to your benefit to develop both Feminine and Masculine approaches to meditation. That is the most direct route to growing into the higher dimensions. If I may use you as an example again, Mercedes, you now practice a form of meditation that is very balanced. It is both a consciousness practice and an energy practice. It allows you to rest in greater and greater connection with pure consciousness. At the same time, you use a portion of your meditation time for manifestation and for connection with higher beings. This has proven to be very effective and powerful for you in regularly accessing the fourth-dimensional state, with it’s attendant higher consciousness and higher abilities in the energy realm.
Most people in your culture at this time are not so easily able to relax the Feminine parts of their being and move into the pure Masculine. This is interesting, as you tend to live in a Masculine–dominated culture. Yet the Feminine and Masculine are always in balance, so in any given circumstance, if one is predominating in a certain way, the other will always show up in another arena as a form of balance. For most of you, it is at the subconscious level that you are mightily attached to the Feminine, even as your conscious life tends to be dominated by the Masculine. The strength of your subconscious attachment to the Feminine, in the form of your physical body, emotions, energy, and sexuality, as well as your tendency to be engaged in creative thinking (without the ability to set it aside through intention), tends to make it easier for most people to access meditation in a more Feminine form in your present day and age.
However, as I said before, the Masculine and Feminine are always in unity and ultimately cannot be separated, even though one or the other may seem to be the primary experience you are having at a given time in the third dimension. This is part of the third-dimensional consciousness and experience of separation. In the third dimension, the Masculine and Feminine seem to exist in separation. This is an illusion, but you will not fully realize it as such until you move beyond the third dimension.
Because of the inherent unity of the Masculine and Feminine, any meditation that you engage will ultimately involve both aspects of your being. While a consciousness-based meditation will lead you into a purer form of the Masculine gift of pure consciousness, it will also lead you to higher states of manifestation and abilities in those states, either during the meditation itself or afterwards in your more “ordinary” life. Similarly a Feminine-based, energy-style meditation will not only lead you to new experiences and states of energy and energetic manifestation. It will also lead you to higher states of consciousness.
Thus, any practice will ultimately lead you to the whole, because all is truly whole and in union. It is simply a matter of whether that practice leads you there more directly or more indirectly. It is also a matter of whether that practice is easy and more accessible for you. My suggestion is to choose the practice that is most natural and accessible to you, based on your own abilities, qualities, and strengths. It is also important to be aware of the intended outcome of a particular practice. Choose a certain practice based on whether it focuses on the outcome you are seeking. If you are able to connect with your higher self and your own guidance, this is the best form of directing you to the practice that is right for you. If you are not able to connect with your higher self or guidance, use your body, feelings, and intuition to guide you to the practice that is most attractive to you and to which you are drawn. Then observe the results and see if those are the results that you value and desire. If not, adjust your practice or seek a different one.
As always, you can pray and ask God to guide you to the practice that is best for you. I recommend prayer often in my messages and I do so intentionally, because so many of you forget that you can always ask for help and it will be given. My hope is to offer this reminder as a loving support, guiding you to the loving help that God always provides.
I hope this has been helpful in finding the form of meditation that is most supportive for you. Meditation is an important practice, which I highly recommend as a valuable aspect of living a spiritually-based life and experiencing the fruits of the higher dimensions and higher consciousness. May you all enjoy this. It will transform you and your world.
With much love and blessings,
I Am Mary Magdalene

MARY MAGDALENE: The Secret Meaning of the Cross
Received by Mercedes Kirkel
QUESTION: Would you speak about the meaning of the cross?
MARY MAGDALENE: Blessings to all. You have asked about the meaning of the cross, and I am happy to respond to you about this.
Many associate the cross with Jesus, who I call Yeshua, and with Christianity. The cross is associated with the crucifix and with the idea that Jesus died for your sins. There is a great deal that could be said about all of this, and I will do my best to cover as much as I can.
Many of the ideas that are currently held in your time are ideas about Yeshua that have been propagated by the Christian Church. There are many reasons why these ideas have been chosen and promoted. Not all of them have to do with things that occurred during Yeshua’s life or that were a part of his teaching. It is important to remember that the Christian church didn’t completely coalesce until several centuries after Yeshua’s life, and that it has continued to develop and change since its early beginnings. The report that the church has communicated about Yeshua’s life and the meaning behind it often has had more to do with what the church leaders were interested in than what actually occurred, or what Yeshua was teaching and wanted people to understand and receive.
I say all this because I think it is essential to put the idea of the cross in perspective. And all of this is true not only in relation to the cross, but to every aspect of Yeshua’s life and teaching. Much of what occurred and much of what he taught and wanted to transmit to people has been changed or lost over time. Because of this, you must be discerning as to what you believe and accept. Where did the ideas about Yeshua that you’ve heard come from? How do you know they are valid? How do the ideas feel to you? Do they support light and love within you? How do the people feel to you who are embracing and promoting those ideas? Do they feel full of light and love?
Remember that your feeling-sense is a much better barometer of truth than your mind. Do not be fooled by ideas if the feelings accompanying them do not uplift you. You must learn to exercise and grow your feeling-based discernment as a powerful tool for determining what is supportive to let in and what is better to discard.
Now, having laid that foundation of understanding for the context in which this is to be understood, I return to the original question about the meaning of the cross. The cross has been a symbol of many things since ancient times, long before the life of Yeshua and his crucifixion. This is why you will find it in other traditions and cultures, including those that pre-date Yeshua’s incarnation on Earth. It is a symbol of the connection between heaven and earth, or more accurately, between the divine in it’s transcendent form and manifestation on Earth. The top of the cross represents connection with the divine and the bottom of the cross represents connection with manifestion in the form of the Earth and the physical third-dimensional plane. The horizantal part of the cross represents human beings as the pivotal form on the Earth manifesting the union of the divine with third-dimensional matter.
The cross can also be seen as a representation of a human being, with the top part being the head, the horizontal part being the arms and hands, the lower part being the legs and feet, and the intersection of the vertical and horizontal being the heart. In this representation, the heart is shown to be central, that which brings everything together and out of which everything emanates. The centrality and importance of the heart was a foundational principle that underlay Yeshua’s teaching.
In your world today, the majority of people have become imbalanced with living predominantly in their head and being disconnected from and out of touch with their heart. This is a cause of a great deal of the problems you experience in your world. If you were to come back into balance and harmony with the heart beings central and primary, many of your problems would be solved. Thus, this simple symbol of the cross holds a great secret for you in your present time as to what is before you to do in order to move forward spiritually.
Relative to the crucifixion, when Yeshua was crucified, there was more than one thing that was taking place. On one level, there were those in the religious institutions of the times who wanted to eliminate Yeshua, because he was challenging their structure. He wanted people to know God as love and compassion and forgiveness, and to realize their direct connection with God. This was different from what was being put forth through the Jewish temple at that time, which presented a fierce God of punishment and required people to follow many rules and institutionalized practices in order to stay in God’s graces. Those in power did not welcome the changes Yeshua was bringing, as it threatened their power and position. So there were those within the religious institutions of the times who wanted him eliminated.
There were also those within the political system and structure who were threatened by Yeshua, especially as people started to relate to him as a king, or “king of the Jews.” There was nervousness amongst the political leaders and authorities that Yeshua would revolt against the secular government and powers. There were those amongst the Jews who wanted this and hoped that Yeshua had come to lead that kind of uprising and revolt. But that was not Yeshua’s mission or interest. He had come to show people the way of bonding with a loving God, and to be that bridge for people.
The crucifixion had another significance and role. This had to do with the popular hope amongst the Jews that a messiah would appear and deliver them spiritually from a long time of being downtrodden. This was different from the hope of those who wanted a political revolution. This was a spiritual emancipation into more blessed times. This belief was intertwined with the religious stories and mythologies of the time, many of which involved a divine ruler who died and was reborn. Through that rebirth, the blessings of the divine were brought to the people. This is a very pervasive spiritual story that can be found in many cultures. Perhaps the most prevalent at Yeshua’s time was the story of Osiris dying and being brought back to life through his wife and queen, Isis. There was an expectation in the consciousness of many people at the time that a messiah would manifest in this form. Accordingly, part of the purpose of the crucifixion was to fulfill this expectation, so that ordinary people could accept the teachings of Yeshua as true and take them in. Through fulfilling that expectation, people were able to open to Yeshua and accept him as a divine being.
The most important reason for the crucifixion, however, has largely been kept secret from people. The crucifixion was a profound process for bringing light to the Earth and implanting it within the Earth. At the time of Yeshua’s incarnation, the level of light on Earth had reached an all-time low. If the trajectory into darkness was to continue, it was likely that the Earth would not survive. Yeshua incarnated on Earth to change that. Through his own incarnation as an extremely high being of light, and through his incarnating in human form, he was able to bring a tremendous amount of light into the Earth plane. His teaching was primarily directed at instructing people how they could similarly manifest and increase the light themselves, so that the process could continue to grow through others.
Yeshua’s exoteric teaching was a very simple form of this process of increasing the light, but nonetheless very real and effective, if people truly practiced it. In essence it was all about love and the power of love. His simplest instruction – to love God with all your heart and to love everyone as yourself – was truly sufficient to continue this process of anchoring light on the Earth. There was also an esoteric teaching, for those who were ready, with more specific practices for how to do this. Those of the Essene community were especially prepared to receive and participate at this level with Yeshua, but there were others, too.
A part of the process of anchoring light into the Earth that Yeshua came to perform, was the crucifixion. This was understood by those in the inner circle around Yeshua. He knew it and we knew it. It involved him sacrificing his life-energy in a tremendous feat of spiritual work. In the crucifixion, the cross became a grid of divine energy being brought into the Earth, something like the way a tree brings the energy of light down through its extremities above the ground, going down into the Earth through its roots. It was Yeshua’s life-energy that activated this circuitry and turned the cross into a spiritual grid and conductor for divine energy to flow into the Earth and be received by the Earth. It was a literal saving of the Earth herself as a living form, charging her up like a battery with God’s light. And it changed the course of your history in Earth. It was the turning point for the return of light into your world. It has been gradual but continuous since then, and today many of you are waking up to it.
This is the true event and meaning of Easter. It was the rebirth of Earth, a literal rebirth, at profound and very high levels of spiritual transformation.
It is not accurate that “Yeshua died for your sins” in the sense that you are evil, bad, wrong, damned, or anything like that. It is also not true that the acts of another can mitigate or remove your karma, or responsibility for your spiritual path. Each soul is responsible for themselves and their own spiritual path and results. However, if you were to interpret “sin” as separation from the light, then there is an element of truth in the expression that “Yeshua died for your sins.” For he chose to give his life to perform this huge transformational act of returning the Earth to a sufficiently high quotient of light.
And so, to return to your original question, the cross is ultimately a symbol for the infusion of God’s light into the Earth, the uniting of God and matter. Yeshua was that manifestation in human form, and through his choice to undergo the crucifixion, he brought that same light into the Earth herself, to store it and share it freely with all beings of the Earth.
This is part of why it is such a tragedy that so many are choosing to damage and even destroy the Earth at this time. That must be stopped and reversed, for the Earth is your source of physical as well as spiritual sustenance, because of the light that Yeshua infused her with. You must make amends for the way that you are treating the Earth, and truly come to revere her and care for her as your most immediate spiritual source. For so she is. It is part of the return to loving the Feminine that is so necessary at this time.
Yeshua was a great lover of the Feminine. He understood and honored and loved the Feminine. Of this, I can attest. I received his love in limitless forms and amounts. And it was not limited to me. Yeshua’s love was boundless and given freely to all. He loved without limit of any kind. And he bequeathed his love to everyone through his love of the Earth, and his spiritual endowment of that love into the Earth. It is there for all in this time as well, waiting for you to receive and continue the process of raising the light on Earth. Those of you who are reading this are surely called to this purpose and are already on that path. My hope is that these words and explanation may help you to continue and go further in that process.
With great love,
I AM Mary Magdalene
